I ordered delivery of a pizza, appetizer, and a two liter soft drink. My family's favorite Friday night meal. The food arrived but no soft drink--which was the part my kids were looking forward to most. Thanks to Brooklyn Pizza Parlor's inattention to detail, my kids didn't enjoy their Friday night pizza night :-( Attention to details matter! I won't be ordering from them again.

I had been wanting to try Brooklyn Pizza based on the recommendations of many of my friends. Today I decided to stop in and grab a couple of slices to go. I love a pizzeria that offers slices! The Nonna slice was delicious, light, and crispy. The sauce on top was full of flavor and truly made the slice for me. The cheese slice was good, a little soggy, but not horribly so. I will definitely be back!

Just because I am actually from Brooklyn does not mean that I went in with very high expectations - I know its hard to replicate what NY can do but I was really disappointed - the pizza was just not good. Not good at all. I could usually finish even bad floppy pizza but this was just not good. I usually want to support my fellow New Yorkers but this is really bad pizza. It can be done outside of NY. Lorenzo's is pretty good - when the right people are working and Las Vegas Secret Pizza is one of my all time favorites.

To preface my review, we used to get from Brooklyn all the time. We felt the quality had slipped a bit and we stopped ordering for a few years, but a few weeks ago decided to give them another chance for pizza. It was good, so we tried again. We ordered takeout - a couple of chicken parm heroes, a Coney Island hero, a sausage parm hero, and an order of manicotti. Disappointment is an understatement. The sausage hero looked like it has less than a whole sausage's worth of meat on it. And as you can see in the pictures, the "chicken cutlet" on the hero was two strips of PRESSED CHICKEN on each side of the sandwich. It had the same texture as McDonald's chicken nuggets. Another family member called to speak to the manager about our experience and was put on the phone with the owner, who was horrible to deal with. He first argued about the chicken being pressed, saying the texture was because it's injected with something that makes it that way, like that was somehow a better explanation, but the pictures speak for themselves. After arguing, he ended up inadvertently admitting it wasn't real chicken when he said, "No other place can take real chicken and pound it out and serve it for the price we serve it for", and that their distributor calls it "chicken cutlet", so that's what it is. The worst part was that he said, "You tell me where on the menu it says your satisfaction is guaranteed." Disgusting attitude from a man who serves disgusting food.

I accidentally found this place and I'm glad I did. As a fellow New Yorker, this is probably the closest to a NYC regular slice. I will be coming back for the regular slice.

Hands down THE BEST pizza I've ever had!! Tried other places and they simply don't measure up to the fresh hot thin authentic NY style pizza. AND they serve wine A great cheese pizza ain't complete without a glass of red wine...I digress. Order the WHOLE pie, it's better that way. My picture does this pizza no justice. Just trust me! #addicted #faithful #stuck

I grew up eating Mexican food and have a thing for finding best flavor and quality for food. I knew I wanted to try a bbq place hear as I've heard such great things and let me tell you I was absolutely blown away! Lately things have been so pricey and feel like you get hidden fees or 20% of service on top of tip and a whole bunch of weird extra charges so obviously going out to eat has been more challenging as you pay more but get less. This place was the absolute opposite of that! We came here twice before we had to fly out to Minnesota. First time we tried the tray of meats and boy was that special. First of the brisket was delicious! But our server recommended the turkey and that was the juiciest most flavorful turkey I've ever had in my life! The sides were amazing and something I never had before was a slaw that had acidity with vinegar and it paired so well. I ordered a Twinkie for the first time and let me tell you I won't see a jalapeño the same again. In Mexican food we have them a lot but never this way and now I'm determined to try to make the more. At the end of our meal our server asked if we wanted dessert and guess wha it was ABSOLUTELY COMPLIMENTARY!! WHATTT?!? And not just like a scoop of ice cream different options of COBBLLERRRR!!! We did not see that coming and it was absolutely delicious! The second time we came I tried the fried okra and that was my first time it blew me away! I also had the potatoe that was loaded and wowowowowo so much flavor and deliciousness. Give it was our last time I got the Twinkie again and it did not disappoint! I wish this place success and that they continue to expand and maybe pray they come to MN. The place is clean and they have a lot of seating and food was incredible.

But the guy was new and being trained. The portions as you can see by the second photo which is half of the food. On the original plate. Was my lunch the next day. All of the items were good B+\A- although I will say the original location in Concord is still the champ. The smoke flavor in the meat was not as pronounced here as in Concord my guess is they rushed the smoking and finished it on an electric heat instead of full smoke but that's just a guess. It was a busy Wednesday night, so it was a little bit noisy, but that could also be because I was eating alone so I won't ding the Ambiance. If you've never eaten at the original location, you would probably give this a day or a plus, but having tasted their original recipes, you can tell the difference still very good would still be back but it's hard to beat the original

Gave this place a chance tonight and it was amazing! Food was amazing. Staff was AMAZING! Atmosphere was on point. Made me feel right at home again (im from Louisiana). Overall a 10/10 experience. UNTIL.... To my surprise, Nima (I believe to be the owners son, I asked staff so I could write this review) anyways, NIMA thought it would be appropriate to cuss out our AMAZING server, Sophie, in front of the entire restaurant. I couldn't believe how unprofessional this Nima character is. One thing I won't tolerate is an unprofessional bully of a "boss", and I also won't tolerate a MAN feeling so comfortable to yell and cuss at his FEMALE staff worker. Sophie kept her composure but was almost in tears. From the moment we sat down Sophie was nothing short of amazing towards us in every aspect. Gave us great recommendations for food, and made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. We had to close out early with her due to Nima forcing her to go home in the middle of her shift, leaving John to take over service for us and John was nothing short of amazing towards us also. All of this to say, I truly loved it in here, but next time when I come back if Sophie isnt here anymore due to this Nima chump, I don't know if I can support a business that treats their employees this way in front of guests. I hope the owner sees this and puts his so called son in check because no professional business owner would treat anyone this way especially In front of guests. I will not support any man that feels comfortable raising his voice at a female employee period.

I stopped in here on a Friday afternoon to grab a quick bite. Upon entrance, I really liked the paintings and other decorations spread throughout the dining room. The kitchen is visible as well which makes for a more immersive dining experience. The menu seemed to have plenty of seafood but I figured I'd opt for their special, a Blackened Red Snapper with Bacon Jalapeño Cream Sauce. It came with two sides so I decided to try out their okra and collard greens, after a recommendation from my waiter. I typically don't order collard greens but he said they have pork and are delicious. The place wasn't too busy so food came out quickly, about 10 minutes after I ordered. The food looked decent upon first glance, but I wasn't sold just yet. After my first bite of fish, I was taken aback by the delicious flavor of their cream sauce paired with the blackened fish. It was a solid portion of fish and tasted of good quality, so it didn't stand much a chance. The sides were also just as delicious. It's hard to mess up fried okra so my expectations were met to a tee. The collard greens were actually so incredible as well. I don't really know what they're made of but I definitely will be trying it more in the future, if other places prepare it as good. They also had a house hot sauce with was more flavor than heat, but paired wonderfully with everything. The whole meal was so good so I understand why they seem to a have solid amount of regulars at this place. The staff were very kind and attentive throughout the entire meal. If you want a taste of Louisiana, this place is a solid option in Charlotte.
