The size of the pizza slices are gigantic. One piece filled me up. I have no proof of the pizza but I took a picture of my side salad that I will eat later.

My experience was decent. First time at this location, i typically go to Huntersville. The wings weren't good. The temperature was very hot, which is a plus. When I ordered, I asked for mild. I thought they'd be tossed. But instead, they were very crispy with mild and ranch on the side. I may just stick to getting pizza in the future and hold off ordering any more wings.

I came in to grab pick up needless to say i found a gem in my own backyard. Quick, efficient, professional. The guy at the register made me feel welcome. Probably the most welcome ive felt in north carolina in awhile. Guy knows his boxing. That cheered me up. The kitchen is on full display and it is clean. I love that. But the food was even better than i had hoped. Just from the smell i wanted to pull over and dig in. The single slices are huge. The smallest pie is sizeable. The website to order is actually navigateable. I cant stress enough how much attention to detail was put into this experience. I can't wait to come back.

This is a delightful mom-and-pop style pizza joint in the Ballantyne area. There is plenty of parking in the shared parking lot. They have super large slices of pizza. You can get a variety of different Italian items like calzone, Stromboli, etc. the pizza was pretty good. It appears that they sponsor and get back to the community for children's athletics. The place was clean. They have indoor outdoor seating. The staff were friendly. If you're looking for a nice slice of New York style pizza, this will be your place to go to. The only thing that I will add would be alcoholic beverages. Maybe a beer to go with the pizza would've been nice. I hope that you enjoy your experience.

Tony's is the best place for no frills Italian food that hits the spot. I typically get the eggplant parm platter and it is a generous helping of eggplant, spaghetti and a side salad. It's normal for me to get two portions out of a serving. My fiancé enjoys their calzones because of how generous the sizes are and though there's an up charge for the premium toppings, they seem to include quite a bit of each ingredient. The staff is friendly and service is quick.

Incorrect pizza. Received chesse instead of double pepperoni
    Jamica M.

Horrible service! I ordered a double pepperoni pizza, a steak and cheese pizza, and 8 piece boneless chicken with BBQ on the side. I placed the order online through Tony's Pizza website. The order was to be ready by 5:30 pm today. I arrived at 5:45 pm. I was told by the woman running the orders on the line that my food would be ready in 5 minutes. I thanked her and waited patiently. 10 minutes passed and I inquired how much longer it would be. She had the ugliest reply so much so that her male colleague with glasses had to intervene. He said it was coming right out it and with a few minutes I received what I thought was my order. I arrived at my location to find that my entire order was wrong. I received a cheese pizza, a chicken sub, and toasted ravioli. I immediately called the restaurant and the female employee who was running the tickets answered. When I explained my order was incorrect, she preceded to question me as to why my order was incorrect. I stated because I didn't receive anything I ordered online. She asked me my name and I'm positive that's when she realized she gave me "David's" and not "Davis." At this point, she said, "Well I'm not sure why you have that order while your order is here. Why do you have that order?" I said, "Ma'am, I didn't grab the order from the counter, you handed to me." From there, the conversation turned hostile. She did not apologize for her error and told me to contact Doordash for credits or a refund. I explained for the fifth time that the order was through the website. Although the website may be powered by Doordash, this order would not show up under my DD account. She continued to repeat the same statement and cut me off enough times to turn a simple misunderstanding into an unfortunate and nasty experience. My brother had to take over the conversation but to no avail as the employee continued her belligerence. My brother asked for the manager's contact information and she refused. That is unacceptable. To make matters worse, she hung up on him. Sadly, Tony's was requested by my brother for his birthday, the same brother who got hung up on. It was a one hour roundtrip to get to this location. Moreover, it was my first experience at Tony's Pizza. As a family, we will NOT go back to any location. The food isn't worth the worse customer experience I've ever had. Please do not order from this location.

eggplant parm and noodles and meatballs with a touch of sauce.
    Aaron S.

This is not the first time that the food and service has been subpar. The spaghetti had zero flavor. The sauce was like two tablespoons, leaving one to wonder if we ordered a plate of noodles ? Once the fork got into the dish, the sauce was nonexistent. It's sad because we have given this place a couple chances. There's so many other places to spend our money. Notice the very little sauce in the picture. This made for a very upsetting moment when opening the boxed food. Please go somewhere else. Do not give this crack-pot Italian mockery any of your money.

    Thin crust pizza

Super friendly and really fast service! The pizza was amazing, felt like I was back in NYC!

    Julie P.

I ordered a 10" NY pizza with extra cheese. Wasn't good. Crust was chewy and hard to eat, cheese congealed (not stringy)... wasn't good. Service was ok. The restaurant itself seemed outdated and dirty. Much better pizza at other places around Ballantyne. I wouldn't go back here.

We stopped in here for a weeknight late bite when our options were somewhat limited. Thankfully at that hour, street parking in NoDa wasn't too bad, we got a spot just off the main drag. Slices here are GIGANTIC, one is easily about 3 standard slices of pizza, or two normal NY size slices. We got a pepperoni and a cheese. The pepperoni had nice kick to them and the cheese was a high quality. You had to let the pepperoni grease drain onto your plate a bit, but that is expected. The thing that makes both slices so good is the garlic butter bath all around the crust that you can see them doing in the kitchen. Not just that, but the texture in the crust will make even non-crust lovers think again. You're basically left with big doughy garlic butter breadsticks. Definitely a 5 on taste. My only complaint, and I'm sure it is partly by design to keep people from staying long, the stools you can sit on to enjoy your pizza inside the restaurant are THE WORST I have ever placed my derrier on. Even for 15 minutes, it wasn't just uncomfortable, it was painful. It took me a couple blocks to start walking correctly again. Might as well just get rid of them and have people stand to eat. Terrible. Almost knocked a star off for it, that bad. Regardless of the world's worst stools, I would come back for more pizza and just plan on not eating it there.

After hearing all the hype, I decided my curiosity was worth risking my lactose intolerance. No regrets. In fact, if I ever had to choose a death row meal, this salad would be on the menu. It's crunchy, toasty, creamy, and brightened with just the right hint of lemon. It's an absolute must-order. And when you get to the crust of your pizza, do yourself a favor and use it to soak up every last bit of that dressing. The pizza is also very very good. Bird has developed a wonderful deep flavor of crust. It is a small cute spot inside, NYC style. Some people don't like sitting so close to other customers, but I enjoy small intimate restaurants. As for the food - pizza was delish (love that they have beef pepperoni), but the viral kale Ceasar and buttermilk ice cream on the olive oil cake stole the show. I will say review that bill well once it arrives. We saw we were overcharged for drinks, our waitress put the tab of our next door table on ours. We did go back inside before leaving to get it straightened out, and they were nice about it. Service is good but a little slow when it came to getting things like extra napkins, drinks, etc.....and I could tell some waitresses were a bit more attentive to their tables vs. others. Definitely would return, but maybe more so just to pick up a pizza at the outside window and take it back home.

The waiter was efficient, not friendly but not unfriendly either, just doing his job pretty much. Would have been nice to have him check on us once or twice but again not the biggest deal. The pizza: my son really enjoyed it and gave it a 5/5 and hubby ranked it a 3/5. He thought the crust was a tad too soggy. Side Caesar: 3/5 had some pieces of the lettuce that should have never made it in the salad and the dressing was just okay. Morty: also a 3/5. Too much arugula, we took some out and then seasoned the rest with s&p and some crushed red pepper flakes. It just lacked a depth of flavor and the bread and arugula overpowered it. The seasoning helped a bit. I even added garlic aioli based on a review I read on here but I didn't taste it. The pasta salad it came with also lacked flavor, though very green and appearing loaded with flavor it was not. And when eating it, the texture was very gummy. Didn't finish that. Overall, it was okay but I'm not likely to return just because there are better options based on the things we tried. But taste is subjective and it just wasn't our vibe today. But check it out for yourself because we only tried three things and the pictures of the other pizzas do look amazing. That is all!

Their patio is so fun, the street you overlook is pretty chill so there weren't a lot of cars or noise. The area has good enough traffic for decent people watching, that's always fun. Our server was so funny and cool. I wish I could remember his name, but he was having a good convo with the person I was with about basketball and it was just really nice. It felt like I was home on my couch hanging with friends. It's such a cool chill place. I loved the pizza, olives app and the old fashioned. It was nice to actually meet the owner too, he is the person who greeted us when we walked in and he was really nice. This place just seems like a good neighborhood spot. If I lived closer I'd probably go a lot more often. Great spot!!

Review for Pizza Baby…read more After a relaxing Vinyasa yoga class and sound bath at The Coterie Wellness one evening, I found myself hungry--and conveniently, Pizza Baby had just opened in the same complex. Perfect timing. Since it was still new, the restaurant wasn't very busy, and I decided to grab a table outside. The outdoor seating was lovely--relaxed, comfortable, and a great way to unwind after a wellness session. I'm a sucker for thin-crust pizza, especially when it's hand-tossed and thoughtfully prepared, so one item immediately caught my eye: the rosemary pizza with hot honey. Sold. I added Italian sausage to the pizza and paired it with a fresh green salad (I can never resist a good Green Goddess dressing). Yes, it was a little on the pricey side, but the quality matched the cost--and I was genuinely pleased with my choices. The crust was thin and flavorful, the toppings were balanced, and the hot honey added just the right touch of sweetness and heat. This is definitely a place I'd return to--next time with friends--so we can share a few different pizzas and appetizers and really explore the menu. A few practical notes: * Parking is generally easy since the restaurant shares a lot with neighboring businesses in the complex * There are several nearby spots, including a wine bar and entertainment venues, which make the area feel lively * There was some early parking congestion when a nearby church held services, but the situation has since been addressed with signage and coordinated parking solutions It's nice to see businesses and community partners working together to make things run smoothly. There's also another location of Pizza Baby that I plan to visit, which speaks to how positive my first experience was. Bottom line: Great thin-crust pizza, pleasant outdoor seating, and a convenient stop after yoga or an evening out. A solid addition to Charlotte's growing food scene--and absolutely worth checking out. And if you're already in the area for a class or wellness session, it makes for the perfect post-workout reward.
