We were thrilled to find out Brooklyn Vs was opening up in our neighborhood and couldn't wait for them to open! The Food is amazing and never disappoints!! We thoroughly enjoyed the Bruschetta, Fried Jalapeño Ravioli, V's 3 Meat Pizza, and the Lasagna Al Forno We also ordered the homemade Cheesecake but devoured it so quickly that we forgot to snap a pic! They also have yummy wine options and beer on tap. Everything was so delicious and the staff was amazing! Shout out to Brayden he was so attentive and caring! I recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone! Mangia!

    Pizza

By far the worst Pizza I have ever had. I actually threw the rest away. And I never throw food away lol. Was like chewing on cardboard. Do not order from this place unless you like tough tasteless Pizza. Even Little Ceasars would easily beat this place. Also had their boneless wings which were horrible as well.

    Parm & pizza!

I can update reviews every time we go to Brooklyn V's!!!!!!! This time, aside from enjoying a meal with my beauty and an amazing friend, we ordered a special cake for our son's 18th birthday which Vito and Justin made for us - a Biscoff cheesecake! By far, the most amazing cheesecake we have EVER had!!!!!!!! Everyone at the party went nuts for this delectable and decadent creation!!!!!! If you don't try Brooklyn V's, you're missing out!!!!!!!

    Burnt Cheesesteak Hero

Ridiculous. You think this is ok to serve!? My mom loves the cheesesteak hero from Brooklyn Vs. surprised her by ordering for her for lunch, I'm all the way in Missouri. Ordered via Grubhub and I should have picked the Gilbert location, not this one. Imagine my surprise when my mom sent me this picture of her food. You ought to be ashamed! Who in their right mind would think it's acceptable to send food out like this!?

A hidden gem! My friends and I came here on a whim Sunday…read moreafternoon and it wasn't very busy. This location of Novel is a walk up window, down a narrow outdoor corridor/alley(?)... there were some benches and a seating area on the sidewalk just outside this area. I think the flavors probably rotate but I decided to try the Cookie Monster single scoop. It was delicious!! I loved all the cookie chunks!! Can't wait to come back here!

The…read morearea is a nice place to walk around and we got lucky and found a parking spot right in front. The store is located down a hallway and has lots of seating outside. We ordered the Dough Melt with Biscoff and the Leslie Knope with Butter Pecan. The donut was good but would have been better if it was warm. We are used to Afters who puts their donut in a press to warm it. The Biscoff ice cream was like a vanilla with cookie mixed in. I was expecting a more Biscoff forward flavor. The Leslie Knope had a 7 minute wait because they had to make the waffle. I liked that the waffle was warm but it got hard and cold quickly with the ice cream. It wasn't fluffy at all and I think by waiting I was expecting a fresh waffle, but it seemed to be more of a frozen waffle placed in a toaster. It was also more difficult the eat the waffle sandwich vs the donut sandwich. We ended up biting the waffle and using a spoon for the ice cream. The butter pecan ice cream had good flavor but was nothing special. Definitely recommend the Dough Melt over the Leslie Knope, and the Butter Pecan over the Biscoff. An additonal star because the service was friendly and she offered to answer questions as we were indecisive since it was our first time there. However, we probably won't be back as there are many ice cream options closer to us in Gilbert that have better quality ice cream that is creamier and smoother, and more variety of flavors.

They were offering free milkshakes to the first 100 participants and we were lucky enough to score one of those gifts! We decided to just take one and share it and decided on the Frozen Hot Chocolate, which is made with Blue Bell chocolate ice cream, hot cocoa mix, chocolate sauce, marshmallow fluff and a "kosher" marshmallow. I'm just not a big sugar fiend so I found the shake to be extremely sweet and gooey...wife loved it! I didn't try the marshmallow but she said it was good and she could tell it was homemade. We decided we would try the store in Gilbert at some point this summer to see what other goodies they offer. Overall, a good treat and thank you for the free goodie! Sorry, there was so much going on at the moment, I didn't take a photo of the actual milkshake!

Walking in the girls working that day were so friendly and helpful. I ordered an assortment of pastries. Cinnamon roll, strawberry puff pastry, chocolate chip cookie, cupcake, strawberry cream pastry and pistachio cream filled pastry. Prices are fair and there's so many options to choose from it's a bit overwhelming because I'm indecisive and want to try everything lol The pastries were all fresh and the ingredients were as well. The cream fillings in the pastries were fluffy and light. I wish the strawberry choux bun had a stronger strawberry flavor as it really tasted like just cream as well as the pistachio pastry. I'll have to try a mini pie and other goods next time I'm around!

We ordered a few different things to give a fair review, and honestly overall this place is just ok. Not horrible, just not that great. We had.. *sausage roll * ham and Swiss *cinnamon roll (regular) *cookies and cream cup cake *raspberry pop tart *chocolate chip cookie Sausage roll pastry dough was good, but the meat inside was not very flavorful. Ham and Swiss, the ham was just a single thin slice of deli meat. The cinnamon roll also missing something... maybe more sugar and better quality cinnamon? Perhaps salt in the dough? I'm not sure how they prepare theirs but definitely looked better than it tasted. Raspberry pop tart was my favorite item! Husband had no complaints on the cupcake.

AZ Chimney Cakes specializes in Kürtöskalács, a.k.a chimney cakes, an incredible dessert that originated in Hungary. I have Romanian roots and Kürtöskalács are quite popular in Romania. That's where I had my first chimney cake. Located in the same shopping center as a movie theater, a Japanese restaurant, and a bunch of other businesses, I parked without any issues in the free back lot and walked over. Ambiance (4/5): A cozy dessert shop. I felt right at home when I saw a map of Bucharest by the entrance. You order at the counter and then they bring your order out to you. We sat at a table close to the door. Service (5/5): Friendly service and we were fortunate enough to chat with the owner for quite a bit. We learned about the history of the dessert spot and how they're trying out some new ideas. Nice lady. Drinks (N/A): No drinks for me on this visit. Food (5/5): If you've never has a chimney cake, you're in for a treat. They're made to order and customizable. More so than anywhere I've ever seen. You choose your base, toppings, additions, and drizzles. I went with the traditional chimney cake with Biscoff cookies, vanilla ice cream, and Nutella drizzle. Outside of the dessert options, which are the way to go for first timers, if you're feeling adventurous, they also have one or two savory options. The chimney cakes are served warm and absolutely delicious. They're filling too so come with an appetite. It's one of those things everyone should try at least once in their lifetime. So cool to have them in Mesa!
