My wife and I decided to cap off our fantastic day trip to Great Falls with a visit to Brooklyn's Deli. Spoiler alert: the highlight of our deli adventure was the pickles. Let me explain. We walked into Brooklyn's Deli on a serene Sunday afternoon, greeted by a sea of empty tables. Freedom of choice was ours! Naturally, I picked the booth by the TV, perfect for catching up on some golf. Little did I know, the seat had a surprise--a generous helping of leftover food. After a brief stint as an unpaid busboy (thanks to a handful of napkins and a self-cleaning mission), we were ready to start our culinary journey. Or so we thought. The lone employee, who doubled as the host and waitress, was finally flagged down to take our drink orders. The menu was vast, and we decided on a Reuben and a cold cut sub, with onion rings and a mystery potato patty on the side. The Reuben? Pretty good. The cold cut sub? Picture someone haphazardly tossing pre-sliced deli meats onto a less-than-fresh roll. Yum. The onion rings and potato patty? Meh. Then, the pickles arrived. The shining stars of our meal, these pickles could probably negotiate world peace if given the chance. My wife, however, voted for the Reuben as the best part. The grand finale? A bill totaling nearly $60. For two sandwiches, some sides, and a couple of cokes. Ouch. Not quite the magical ending we envisioned for our day. In summary, Brooklyn's Deli isn't winning any awards for cleanliness, ambiance, or value. But if you're in it for the pickles, you might just find a reason to smile. We might give it another shot next year--because everyone deserves a second chance, even delis. Three stars for the pickles and the Reuben. One star for everything else. read more

Sorry, but after our experience on Sun., 8/10, that is the first and definitely the last time we're eating at this place. Gee, do we really have to wait until AFTER the food is brought out to be forced to REQUEST silverware? Really? The eggs in my Spanish omelet were tough and tasted like powdered eggs. The bottom of both halves of the bagel was char-burned. There was no toilet paper in the ladies' room. And the icing on the cake was when they brought out the bill that charged $11.99 for the plain corned-beef sandwich and I told them that the menu clearly said $10.99, the jerk manager there had the gall to finally come out with this waitress to tell me, "Well, we're gonna take off the $1.00 now, but the REAL price is $11.99 for next time." As if he's doing me some huge favor!! And does this clown think there will be a NEXT time? And excuse me, but by law, they can't charge any more than the menu says. If they had a price-increase and didn't check that the printer did all the menus, let's see ... I believe that would be ... NOT OUR PROBLEM! This place was fine three years ago when we used them to cater a few platters of food after my dad's funeral, but to go there and eat? Never again. And you can't hear yourself think with so much noise in there. They may be able to fool the Potomac spendthrifts over there, but they picked the wrong person to screw around with this time. I only rate this place 1 star because I cannot rate it 0. This place have very quickly gone down this past year. I used to come in several times a week ( even when they first opened and GOD was that place a disaster) and I have noticed business dying. The quality of the food has gone down, the "chef" whom I have spoken to about the quality of his food has the worst attitude and no people skills at all. His "roasted" chicken looked more like BOILED chicken! Completely flavorless. How has management not taken notice? Do they not care? Are they blind? Do they condone his behavior? He curses worse than a sailor and it seems to rub off on the employees. The atmosphere to this place has changed drastically. All the employees seem miserable. Most of the servers who were working for them for a long time are now gone. Sad to see them go.To sum this place up...poor food, terrible management, the place is filthy, unhappy employees will lead to this business' death.What's even funnier was a few months back I came by to give this place one last chance and they were closed because their water was shut of?? Always curious about this Jewish Deli so I had to check it out. Has indoor and make shift outdoor seating for covid times. Sat inside and they have a large menu with Jewish style foods. Food came very quickly after ordering. I ordered the Reuben sandwich. The sandwich was large and looked great coming on the platter. The corned beef was tender but there was a LOT of fat in the corned beef that I could not even bite through. I had to pick through the sandwich to get the fat pieces out before eating. For paying $18.00 for the Reuben Sandwich I would have expected better quality of corned beef or at least slice the corned beef to cut out the thick fat before slicing it up to put on the sandwich. I do not plan to go back. You can see sandwich looks great but the tough fat was not worth going back. read more

Thank goodness for a deli that has it ALL! Great atmosphere in a nicely kept shopping center, wonderful outdoor seating (can't wait for spring!). Brooklyn's has all the traditional NY deli style foods...the Matzoh Ball Soup is wonderful, the chicken salad my favorite and the breakfast (especially the pancakes) are my kids favorites. I am a big believer in "you get what you pay for" and at Brooklyn's you are paying for the best that deli food has to offer- it is worth it!! To note: I was a fan of the other location, but this location is quite a step up, cleaner and better space which makes it appealing for dinner as well. read more

Had not been here in a while but was close by so stopped in for a sandwich. Not sure what happened to this place. It used to be my go to for New York corned beef and pastrami. First of all the service was terrible. No pickles and had to wait five minutes for a glass of water. Server seemed only interested in a group of soccer moms who were drinking Starbucks and sharing one sandwich. When food finally came it was mediocre at best. Server told me they were using a different meat guy. Also told me a lot of employees had left. Hope they can get their act together. read more

Great place to eat! First time I came here I tried the Austens Triple play and let me say, I have never had a sandwich soo big that it took me two meals to finish it! I then tried the rueben (which is now my favorite). The guys that work here are also great, it really has a nice family atmosphere feeling to it which is nice and laid back. Every time I go to the deli it is a wonderful experience. All of the servers have a great attitude when serving our table.
