Service was excellent from the time I walked in, ordered, got my drink and meal in just a couple of minutes and never ran out of my drink. You cannot miss the location , bright red Railroad box car on the street. Plenty of parking available.

Stopped in here enroute to Augusta for lunch- and really glad we did! Got a pulled pork sandwich and brisket plate and a side of fries. The meats were fresh and tasty and their pinto beans were flavored with peppers- delicious! The fries were hot and served in a giant cone- plenty for sharing! Will be back!

1/2 rack of baby back ribs with all the trimmings. (Sorry I got started before I thought to take a picture)

Fabulous!! It's a small Bbq restaurant with a bar and a few tables. Clean and all I needed to get my fill of great Bbq!! Fresh roll of paper towels on the table and the owner kept my Coke filled up. I had the 1/2 rack of baby back ribs that were dry rubbed and smoked to perfection. A side of smoked poblano pinto beans, coleslaw and Texas toast. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich, chips and house made pickles and pickled onions. She knows good Bbq and said it was fabulous. Don't miss this one. True legendary Bbq from a local pit master right here in Madison. I will certainly return on my next trip!!

Tried most of them in the Athens area and did not find anything worth going back for. We went to Madison today for a day trip and I looked for BBQ places. Saw the reviews for Crowe's BBQ and decided to try. Glad we did. I got the brisket plate. My #1 brisket I have ever had was Kreuz BBQ in Lockhart, TX. The next on my list is JW Hayes n Newport Beach, CA.- very similar to Kreuz and told me he fashioned his after Kreuz. Now I have a #3- which ranks right up there with Kreuz and the JW Hayes. The brisket was so tender and fell apart when you pick it up. Just the right amount of smoke flavor. So good. My wife ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and said it was the best she ever had. And she is VERY picky, so I was surprised. I tried hers and it was very tender as well. Now I am tempted to go back to try out their bbq ribs. Now I have my list of top 3. On to find the next one for my list.

I personally have watched every single season of gossip girl, and nothing could compare to the drama in this place. Service was awful, some guy gave me the stank eye, and my food was bad. The ribs looked like they came out of a snarklack pit from star wars and smelled like it too. Never come here.

The Mahi Mahi is one of the best fish sandwiches in the lake area. Hand cut fries are always a nice treat. This time I tried the pecan crusted chicken salad dressing on side. Chicken was heavily crusted and good for deep fried chicken. They need to be so much MORE generous with the apple and other toppings at that price point. Tables are clean, you do your own pick up. No options to tip. Hours are limited and I do wish they were open on Sunday but, welcome to the South. A market is attached, items vary and have many local choices. While it was good, nothing was truly hot. Both the CFS and MPs were warm, with the gravy being barely as warm. Though, the BePs, were warmest. However, I found, the CFS to be on the dry side. While the Cornbread was firm, it was good. Unfortunately, they charged me for 3 sides, instead of just 2. So, because of this, I didn't give a voluntary tip. Fortunately, Chris had gotten some Kenyan Hot Sauce, which I tried on the CFS. And, it really helped with the taste. Sadly, they only 1, 10 oz bottle, which I let them have. And, I bought a 5 oz bottle. The HS has a unique texture, but isn't "hot" in the traditional sense.

Reservations at 8, right on time. Walked in seated right away by the hostess. The standard server will be with you shortly here are your menus. Our waitress Summer had the timing down. Just as we figured out what we wanted from the drink menu she arrived. An old fashioned is our go to so two Seasonal Old Fashioned to start. We also ordered the baked Feta for appetizer. The interior is warm and open. Tables and chairs have plenty of room We sat overlooking the bar area (the bar is at a lower level). Only thing I would change is sitting at a table vs a High top. Drinks and appetizer arrived promptly. The baked feta was so good warm and creamy, tomatoes and seasoning provided depth. Summer provided the specials of the day as well as her thoughts on various entree. My wife originally was looking at a pasta w shrimp. Summer brought to our attention the pork chop - she said I know you think of how good can a pork chop be but ours is really amazing. So my wife changed her mind and went with the pork chop. I elected for the Red Fish atop orzo. Entrees arrived and wow they looked perfect. That pork chop was thick, nice crisp sear topped with apples ( sautéed perfectly not soggy). My red fish was well seasoned and tasted great. What amazed me was the spinach and tomato orzo! So creamy and subtle it complimented the fish so well. You can't have a Birthday without desert. Again Summer provided great recommendations and insights. Salted Caramel cheesecake for the birthday girl and I had the crème brûlée cheesecake cake. Both were very good not too dense and not fluff. The flavors were not overpowering so you enjoy the flies well as the taste of cheesecake. Price was what I expected, it's not bar food , priced appropriately. Remember I said reservations were at 8 ? They close at 9 and not once did we feel rushed. The staff, especially Summer treated us like the first customer of the evening. My wife digs the whole singing happy birthday , the dessert had the happy birthday message and Summer discreetly asked if she would like the happy Birthday song. They did, and looked like they had fun doing it. Awesome place we will definitely go back!

Sister Schubert. Not made in their kitchen. Had to ask twice for crushed red pepper & Parmesan. It's the little things that kill an established business. 5-star prices for 3-star food. Our bill for 4 people was almost $200. No alcohol. Maybe again, but not likely.
