Finally had a meal here and realized it isn't what it could be. The T-Bone steak I had was pretty good and cooked just right for me (med well) BUT - the service was terrible for an early Tuesday evening dinner. First was an issue of no fresh coffee available. (we opened an hour ago and you're the first coffee being ordered so we will take 15 minutes to make some) And the 2nd but most glaring problem is the fact that the order taker did not order my side of ribs. That, and my wife's order of a cup of chili arrived for her 1/2 way thru her meal. My ribs arrived after I finished one of the larger steaks they offer (again the steak was nicely done) and I really wanted to enjoy the steak and swine together. So I sent it back and they did adjust the cheque accordingly. Additionally, I didn't like the rice I ordered. I was thinking rice pilaf and what I got was.... out there to be nice about it. Just not my thing. Ok you got me in the door but I won't go back. It's always a red flag to me when I see that one person is a hostess, another seats you, a third is the order taker (and provides the cheque), while a 4th is just a runner delivering food to a table number with no idea what was actually ordered and if there was any special instructions associated with the entree such as no dairy etc. An absolute fail I'd rather spend $20 more a head and go to Churrasco's, Brazilian steak house - it Puts "texas" style to shame I gave you a chance and the staff failed at most every turn read more

Felt like a steak for dinner so I headed to Texas Roadhouse. The line was long but likely I was going solo and I was able to get a seat at the bar. The restaurant and bar area are very load. The bartender was friendly and immediately took my order. I ordered the Ft Worth 14oz ribeye with a garden salad and a baked potato. The garden salad arrived quickly, was medium in size and was your typical salad. The steak and potato arrived right after I finished my salad. I ordered the steak medium rare but it was medium. The steak was a good size, seasoned, flavorful and quite juicy. The potato was an average size with sour cream, bacon and cheddar cheese. It seemed a little dry and not flaky. Ordered two, 8-oz salmon dinners, one country vegetable dinner, and one cheesecake. The salmon was thin and dry. The baked potato wasn't thoroughly cooked. The "steamed" vegetables appeared to be steamed by quickly running under hot tap water. And, the two house salads that were ordered without croutons must have been prepared with croutons, someone noticed the mistake and removed, but left half hiding under the salad. Our June 24 2026 visit was amazing, with a combination of delicious ribs and chicken, with awesome hospitality from Haylie B. and the entire staff.This team was SO good! I don't go out of my way to get here and it's always crowded but it does hit the spot If i had a complaint it would be the minuscule size of their old fashioned.s. We always go during the 4 o'clock hour and grab seats at the bar, the bar staff never let us down when it comes to service or good times. Big shout out to Frankie this round. The man has his service game completely dialed in, and not just for us, but for everyone he introduced himself to and served along the bar. He had us smiling the whole time with his smooth, on-point style. That's really the theme every time we sit at the bar here: the staff we interact with never look like they're having a bad day. They're always ready and willing to have a good time, and it makes the whole experience better. Food was solid too, the mushroom chicken sandwich hit the mark, and so did the burger. My wife and I took the kids to get an early dinner after we picked them up from school. Since we're on spring break, we don't get to go out often. And we decided to take advantage of an early dinner. My wife and I got a happy hour esque meal of a 6 ounce steak with two sides. And I know everyone already knows about the bread, it was delicious and unlimited. This review is not really about the food or the prices. This review is for a server named Reese. This guy went out of his way to make sure that my kids were happy and he was happy the entire time. Super genuine, we had made a comment about being teachers, and I felt like he went out of his way to make sure we had the best time possible. I pulled up and saw that they were doing their tip a cop drive. Funny last year we hit it in the same evening. We really enjoy going early, a girlfriend and I, since they have a great special at 13.99, which gets you two sides some kind of a protein and the rolls. Those delicious rolls with the cinnamon butter that they make every day. Yes it's real butter because I asked. Our waitress, Zoe, was fabulous. She was super attentive. We were able to joke back-and-forth, which made it nice and light. She was great!!! They should give her a raise! Their steaks are always super tender and lean. Cooked to perfection. I love getting their sweet potato with their cinnamon butter on it, cause you can never have enough butter, lol. So it was pretty pretty amazing actually our dinner. I had good company with my friend and I definitely a good meal. They do have a waitlist that you can check in ahead of time on their website or actually in their app. So when I got there, they were able to see us actually pretty quick. They're special runs from 3 to 5:30 Monday through Thursday and on Friday till 3 PM. The place was jampacked, which is always a good sign when there's a restaurant that is hustling and bustling. Sometimes the music is a little loud after 5:30, but it's when they are ramping up to do their dance. Especially on the typical night. There was a gentleman there taking pictures and he asked if he could sit with us for a few minutes and chat. We had a very pleasant, very pleasant conversation with him we laughed. He got a little teary-eyed and we had a nice visit with him. He told us we were the best part of his evening. Maybe because we took some time to sit with him and talk. He takes pictures for the Special Olympics and events., which had a great story behind it so that was also pleasant about our evening. So overall that's why I'm giving 5 stars. Great experience today. My coworker and I are in town for work and decided to eat at Texas Rd House as it's across the freeway from our hotel. The food was great and the service was excellent. We were in Lauren's section and she was really nice and provided great service. The manager came by to ask how everything was and give my coworker a cuzy and a coupon because it was her first time at a Texas Road House. We understand why it was so busy upon our 5:30 arrival. You know, I could try anyplace for steak. But why stray from perfection? Any town I'm in, I know I'll get a great meal consistently at a Texas Roadhouse. I like steak, they deliver a delicious filet every single time. They are quick with friendly service. I always feel welcome. Sure the ambiance is about as western as you can get and I always feel a bit out of place in my polo shirt and cargo pants work clothes - especially my flat cap. I remember when this Texas Roadhouse location opened. My family often went. However, since moving away from South Reno, I hadn't visited in years. Glad we stopped in! My family visited during Thanksgiving week for a very early dinner, 3 PM is when they open on weekdays. It was packed! Luckily, there was still no wait for a table, and we were seated and greeted right away. Texas Roadhouse knows how to keep its customers happy. Free bread and butter and a bag of complimentary peanuts at every table. Who can be mad about that? One perk of having the earliest dinner ever is that the roadhouse offers an early bird menu where many classic menu items are on discount. We ordered a kids' burger meal, the fried pickles, and two 6-oz. sirloin meals. The whole bill was only $50! The portions, like the restaurant, are huge! My house salad was almost big enough to be a dinner salad, and the fried pickles were plentiful and super crispy. Perfectly battered and served with awesome house-made ranch. The kids' burgers were a perfect portion for two light eaters to share. It's a small beef patty with cheese served on one of their freshly baked rolls, but you get two of them and a side of fries. Yum! The steaks were tender, but they were probably under 6oz. The weight is likely a pre-cooked weight. The sides were good, but nothing out of this world. First time at the Reno location on a Saturday night and wow was it packed. Makes sense since the service is amazing and the food portion is worth it. We even got can holders since it was our first time! My partner and I had the porter house T-Bone steak and it was cooked to a perfect medium. You can ask for the gravy and onions on the side (which we did) and definitely complemented the steak perfectly. It was definitely salty with all the additional sauces so pick and choose with that in mind. Along with the blooming onion, salad and corn sides, unlimited pandesal style bread, seasoned rice and margarita, we left waddling cause we were so full. Texas Roadhouse is the prime example of how participating businesses should treat our Veterans on Veterans Day. They give out a Voucher for a free meal, but the extra touch is what stands out. The entrance was decorated with Red, White and Blue Fan Flags and Ballons and staff were at the entrance greeting Veterans and thanking them for their service, as they issued the Vouchers. They also had them sign some boards that they would be displaying. Honestly, we came with a gift card and not the highest of expectations. But I can confidently and honestly say, this was quite an enjoyable meal. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive the entire time, and the place has some fun decor to look around it while you are waiting. Most chain restaurants in Reno just do not out out quality food, so I try to usually stick to local businesses and the Midtown area. My whole group was surprised. Nothing fried came out burnt, everything tasted totally fresh and the steaks were COMPLETELY ON POINT. Prime rib was decent for the price, $27 for 12oz is great, and my daughter got a sirloin which was just as tender as the prime rib. On the sides, also very well executed. The staff is excellent! Friendly, attentive while not overbearing. The spacing is great for the seating available, and it is a lively restaurant. It is an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment. The food, is acceptable. I have had some great menu items, and some average. But, I have not been disappointed by their offering's. What I expect from a Texas rib is a simple rub...salt, black pepper, maybe some cumin, a bit of garlic...soft and tender, fall off the bone...needs no sauce. Before it came from the kitchen, it would have been perfect! But then they let those ribs sit under the broiler/salamander/hot plate for 15 minutes and let them be burn to a char! The server was good. She did everything right, but it was difficult to hear her because the ambient noise and music was so loud, I couldn't even hear my date sitting across from me at a two top. The only time I'll return is if my nephew asks. I am really disappointed. At the very least, we should be able to have a conversation across the table. read more

Love the hot rolls with honey butter that arrive at your table with you. We started off with the onion blossom, and it was crunchy good. Their salads are extraordinary in that they are not just lettuce and tomatoes, but include hard boiled egg, cheese, croutons, and a rich homemade ranch dressing that's so thick and creamy you'll want to eat it with a spoon! I ordered the prime rib with a sweet potato. My prime rib filled half the plate, and it was tender, juicy, and delicious. My sweet potato was cooked perfectly, and I added butter and brown sugar. The hubs had chicken fried sirloin with steak fries. He especially enjoyed the smothering of country gravy. Kids meals were 2 sliders and applesauce. Perfect meal for them. I will say, this is not the place for a quiet, dining experience because it is very noisy, but that's part of the charm.
