    Beef Soon Tofu Stew
    Cathy K.

Took a quick trip to Reno with my family and we were all craving something warm and soft tofu soup was screaming our names. So glad we were able to find this spot! FOOD: We ordered the Cheese Tteokbokki and Beef Soon Tofu Stew. Both solid choices. The Cheese Tteokbokki I wish had more cheese though but it did come with fish cake and cabbage as well! The Beef Soon Tofu Stew honestly really hit the spot! Had the perfect ratio of all the ingredients - tofu, beef and vegetables. SERVICE: Our server was super friendly and our food came out fairly fast, which was a plus since we were all super hungry. PARKING: This place is located in a small plaza so the parking was super easy. AMBIANCE: Loved the cozy vibe that I got from this restaurant. Almost seemed like a hole in the wall place. Overall, I would definitely come back to try their other dishes! My family and I enjoyed our time here.

Great food! Love the fresh kimchi! Galbi tang delicious! Kimchi pancake also yummy! Our go to Korean when at the casinos in Reno. Next door to a Koran market with lots of goodies!

We haven't been here in a while. The banchans are really good - the kimchi and cucumbers. The chicken wings were quite good - not oily. Bulgogi was sliced thin and we almost finished the order. The kimchi fried rice was tasty and the sunnyside egg cooked perfectly. I wasn't that impressed with the black bean noodles. It was a small Order for $13.99 and when mixed together needed scissors to cut them and the Noodles all stuck together. The staff is really friendly.

Food taste was great. The Seafood ramen noodles was a little salty but noodles was cooked perfectly to my liking. They put a good amount of shrimp and clams and good portion. The short ribs taste great but the meat was chewy. Fried rice taste great but the meat was chewy. Service was awesome and the ambiance is nice and quiet.

The Auntie is so sweet and so accommodating! I took my uncle for out for lunch. This meal is perfect on a cold day. Great flavors and pleasant atmosphere. We walked in cold and hungry, we came out with warm heart and bellies full.

This place is absolutely an amazing stop for authentic and fresh Korean food. The quality and flavor of the spicy bulgogi was outstanding. The presentation on the sizzling cast iron plate was exciting and adds experience. The over all experience was unique and home like and honestly cozy. The service was great and attentive. The servers were very kind and welcoming. Overall i do recommend people check this place out.

One of the best places in town. The food is homestyle Korean and is worth eating through the menu. The service is excellent and Eddie is good at taking care of you.

Writing this review with mixed emotions. Recently, we had a yelp event here, and I was so amazed at the food. It reminded me of being in Korea. Home-cooked comfort food. Everything was perfect. I returned two days later because I was really craving the kimchi pancake. We decided to order some beef ribs (Galbi) to accompany th pancake to eat at home. The two dishes cost $44. What we ordered: Kimchi pancake Galbi dinner (rice and Banchan) The first thing I noticed was the kimchi pancake oil soaked and a bit mushy. It actually seemed like it was pre-cooked and just warmed up for us. It really was nothing like the first kimchi pancake I had on my previous visit. That was a a bit sad. The Galbi I thought was a bit expensive $28 however for an average size dish. It did taste quite delicious. The banchan (side dishes, that accompany Korean food) was fairly similar to my first visit. It included kimchi, broccoli with a slight sesame oil flavor, bean sprouts ( (Kongnamul Muchim, 콩나물무침) and spicy cucumber salad (Oi Muchim, 오이무침) I was really hoping for a stellar visit, but it was mediocre food at best for what I consider a bit pricey. I will definitely give it another shot, maybe ask them to make the kimchi pancake fresh. Because it was quite delicious my first visit and I'm still craving the texture and flavor. I would definitely order the Galbi If you don't mind the $28 price tag.

First time trying this small quiet family restuarant. We prefer AYCE KBB but wanted to give them a try for lunch which was pretty tasty. Galbi was ok and enjoyed Bulgogi. Small portions of Bonchon however you can request refills. Soda, beer, sake and wine also available. We just beat the lunch rush; about 4 more tables came in. Recommend check it out if you're in the area.

Hana garden was very delicious. Sweet, savory , with a little spice. Just the right amount of spice. I've never been there before since I live on south end of town but would definitely go back for their dumpling soup, noodle soup, and a main entree. It was sit down family style which was nice and got everyone to chat with one another. It's a must try when you have a hankering' for Korean food. Family owned restaurant where they put it all in for their customers. Bravo. Well done Hana Garden!! Our menu tonight was yummy. Tteokbokki (Spicy Rice Cakes) - Classic and popular Korean street food that is known all around the world. Kimchi Pancake - A Korean staple that showcases the versatility and flavor of Kimchi. Spicy Pork Bulgogi - Spicy and delicious pork stir fried with vegetables that's always a fan favorite. Grilled Mackerel - Salty and flaky fish that has been prepared with care and love Japchae - Glass noodles with vegetables - A classic Korean dish that is sweet and savory. Dakgaejang - Spicy chicken soup with vegetables. One of our personal favorite soups that is flavorful and spicy. A great hangover cure! Rice Cake Soup with Dumplings - A classic Korean comfort dish, usually eaten during New Year's but we serve it all year round!

One thing we noticed right away was that the bonchon was already set on the tables before guests arrived. It wasn't a large spread--just a small tin of cheese corn and a divided tray with kimchi, bean sprouts, and fish cake--not sure how long they were left out and did look and taste dry. The servers seemed to work well together. Different team members checked on us, cleared dishes, served food, and helped other's tables. Once it got busier, they also used robot servers to help deliver food. We started with the salad with house dressing and the popcorn chicken. Both were good, and the chicken was nice and moist. For the BBQ, we ordered the Chardol, Ju Mul Luck, Hawaiian Steak, Tri-Tip Bulgogi, and Galbi (short ribs). Having eaten at quite a few Korean BBQ restaurants in Las Vegas, we noticed the portions here were a bit smaller. They also limit each round to three appetizers and four meat selections. Overall, the service was good, and we especially appreciated Eurie for being friendly and attentive. The only thing that concerned us was when another server changed our grill. Instead of lightly drizzling oil onto the grill, she forcefully squeezed the bottle, causing the oil to shoot out onto grill. It seemed like an unnecessary safety risk for both guests and employees. Our favorites were definitely the Tri-Tip Bulgogi and the Galbi. Both were flavorful and tender. The Chardol was good, but the slices were very thin and the portion felt a little small. The restaurant filled up quickly between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m., so it's clearly a popular spot. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would come back for the Tri-Tip Bulgogi, Galbi, and the teamwork displayed by the staff.

As someone who occasionally likes to eat alone, I really appreciate that. I've visited several times over the years, including recently under the newer ownership. Unfortunately, some of my old favorites aren't quite the same. I used to love their deep-fried oysters, which are no longer on the menu and have been replaced with deep-fried mussels. The kimchi stew recipe also seems to have changed and wasn't as memorable as before. That said, they still serve my favorite gopchang (beef small intestine). When cooked properly, it gets wonderfully crispy and reminds me of Mexican tripas tacos--definitely worth ordering. I'd personally skip the bibimbap appetizer. The rice was hard, the ground beef was cold, and it felt like it relied too heavily on the gochujang sauce for flavor. Even with those changes, I'll continue supporting this business. Service was also attentive.

The employee asked the owner if it was allowed, and his first response was, "We don't allow dogs inside." I explained that he is a service dog. The owner then asked for paperwork to prove it. I respectfully told him that businesses are not allowed to require documentation for a service dog. His response was, "How am I supposed to know it's a service dog?" At that point, I ended up showing my personal medical paperwork, something I should never have felt pressured to do. I also explained that as a business owner, he should know the laws regarding service animals. We decided to leave without eating because the entire experience made us feel unwelcome, embarrassed, and we completely lost our appetite. The first visit, service was warm and timely. Food was great. The second time we had gone, a few instances made our visit a bit uncomfortable due to the service and food quality. When we first arrived, the grill had white bubbles upon being fired up. The server grabbed us another when we asked but her tone while informing us it was normal was passive aggressive, almost as if our request was weird and inconvenient. She would come up later to critique our grilling because our gas went out a few times but I think the one we were sat at wasn't working well as this had not happened before here or any other kbbq spot we've visited. After this, it seemed like we were a burden. We asked for a plate to place cooked meat away from the raw ones and it seemed like the supervisor for the night came up to us for this. She asked why we would need one and then snapped that they couldn't due to something like they were already portioned. We were there 4 hours before closing, there didn't seem to be any wait up front, and yet 1.5 hours in and the server became more insistent on checking on us (they only came up twice prior to this after we flagged them down). On top of this, the food quality since the last time had declined just as much. The rice cakes weren't cooked fully and cold, the cheese for the corn cheese rubbery, and ice cream freezer burnt. For the price of $40 (where we do the cooking mind you), you would expect better efficient service and food. We will not be visiting again.
