While returning from the restroom (which was also uncomfortably hot and stuffy), I spoke with the manager, Jason, about our experience and asked if we could switch servers. Thankfully, Vlad, who had been serving nearby tables, took over our table. He was a complete turnaround. Vlad was personable, energetic, attentive, and provided the level of hospitality we expected. He truly saved what he could of the experience. Our group spent over $750 on food and drinks. The appetizers and sides were excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the entrees didn't live up to the same standard. One steak was overcooked and had to be sent back. By the time the replacement arrived, everyone else had already finished eating. The Salmon Diane was also dry and overcooked. To end the night, while we were waiting for our checks to be processed, Jason came over and told us the next reservation had arrived and that we needed to leave. We explained that we were simply waiting to pay, yet no effort was made to speed up the process by collecting our payment or offering to run the checks. It felt rushed and incredibly inhospitable, especially after everything that had already gone wrong. The only reasons this review isn't one star are Vlad and the excellent appetizers and sides.
