My husband ordered the Pulled Pork, Mashed potatoes and potato salad. Everything was fresh and affordable. Great quality for the price and serving size. We will definitely be back!

It's a solid 4.5 . I rolled in on the day they giving meals to vets for free. I didn't bother asking for mine. I got ribs Turkey brisket sausage collards Mac beans vinegar slaw and banana pudding. Ribs 4.7/5.0 Brisket 4.0/5.0 Turkey 3.5/5,0 Cheddar jalapeno sausage 4.0/5.0 Beans 3.0/5.0 Collards 5.0/5.0 Mac & cheese 3.0/5.0 Vinegar slaw 4.0/5.0 Banana pudding 5.0/5.0 The sides portion were all good. Smalls for $4 or $5. The brisket I got a half pound and it was 2 pieces. Turkey was also just 2 pieces. It was $85 for everything. Was it worth it? No. Did it taste good? Yes. Is is the best bbq I've ever had? No. Is it the best bbq I've had in the NE? Yes. If you win the lottery and want good bbq come here!

The customer service was on point and I love the fact they are veteran owned. We got there right when they sold out of ribs. You can smell the smoker when you walk in. The pulled pork and brisket didn't need any kind of sauce and the Mac and cheese was delicious! Well worth the 30 min drive from Bayonne.

    Sampler platter for 3-4 people.

A couple of Fridays ago, my wife and I stopped here around three in the afternoon. It was not terribly busy and we were greeted by a very friendly counter woman who explained the menu. We ordered a large sampler platter, good for 3-4 people along with a couple of Ted's Teas. We found a table with the roll of paper towels there at the ready. It's low brow, but very clean. Other customers were there enjoying their meals. The tray was brought out along with the sides, plastic ware and paper dishes to use. The tray included pork ribs, cooked perfectly, sliced pastrami, sliced brisket and sliced turkey. All smoked to perfection, the brisket juicy and tender. Juicy smoked sausage with cheddar and jalapeño were next, along with over a cup's worth of pulled pork. The sides were baked beans, yummy with little chunks of pineapple, an unexpected, but pleasant surprise. Mac and cheese was creamy and this was the best Cole slaw I've had in some time (we chose the creamy, not the vinegar based). Rolls and pickles were included. Different sauces are provided depending on your taste. Good barbecue in New Jersey is extremely hard to find. Do not pass go, stop here. Everything cooked to perfection and very tasty. As we were eating, we spoke with another couple who suggested we get the banana pudding. We took an order home along with a chocolate dessert akin to a large whoopie pie. Both were delicious. It's a good thing this shop is not close to us or we would be there much more often (delightedly fattening up).

Texas trinity + 1/4lb turkey breast + extra side Spicy garlic pickles

I stopped in for a late Sunday lunch and left so happy that I picked this spot! I got the Texas Trinity, which comes with 1/4lb brisket, 1/4 rack of pork ribs, 1 sausage link, a small side, house pickles, and 2 rolls. I added 1/4lb of turkey breast which is a MUST try! For sides, I got their mac and cheese and baked beans... AMAZING! Their baked beans have pineapple chunks which is surprisingly a great mix. Not like their meats really need it, but they also 2 house sauces available; one bbq style and another spicy one. Best part is they provide small to-go containers to take extra sauce home! I didn't get to try any desserts but I saw a few treats available for purchase. The service was speedy and extremely welcoming. Multiple staff members made sure to stop by and check in on us during our time there. The place itself self has plenty of room and seating to dine which paper towels readily available on each table! Definitely give this place a try!

The pork ribs are amazing! Definitely going to get more of that when we visit again. Pulled pork was a little dry and the sausage was a tad heavy for us.

I came back for a quick Friday meal. The brisket is still one of the best things I've ever tasted. I wish this place offered baked potatoes, but really, I have no complaints.

Prices were a little high, but consistent with other traditional barbecue restaurants, even though there are not many in our area. The brisket was outstanding, and the sides were all enjoyed, especially the mac & cheese. You order at the counter and then sit and they will call you to get your food or bring it out to you. They only had one counter person when we were there so it took quite some time for us to order our food, but it was well worth the wait. The restaurant is veteran-owned, and they give a 20% discount to veterans and first responders, which is a really nice thing to do.

    Just a nice touch

To be transparent, I didn't dine in. There are a few supposedly BBQ spots somewhat in the general area, but this place actually does a decent job. Nearly perfect. The brisket in the sandwich was amazingly tender and had a good dry rub to it. A bit fatty here and there, but it was fine. Only negative is they don't provide any sauce by default, not even a house BBQ sauce, which is fairly odd for a BBQ establishment and a bit like shooting your own foot over leaving a great impression. I did take a gamble and bought a little sauce cup of Alabama white and devil's dog spit sauce. The latter was a BBQ sauce with a kick, very good. The former was terrible and too vinegary for my liking. Sadly, the sauces were not well described, so what a waste. I was also disappointed that they do not have an all beef or brisket and turkey combo. Not a porky fan here, unless we mean the cartoon character. Mac & cheese was kind of sad, like out of the box, and also kind of dry. Some of the older pictures made it look good, but they must've changed it years back. Potato salad was surprisingly pretty good, I'd get this again if I ever had a craving. The pickles weren't too shabby either. They don't have a side item meal or combo deal. I also didn't see any corn bread or chili on the menu. They did have banana pudding, which I need to try next time (sadly I had ice cream an hour before my order). The writing on the sandwich wrap also made me smile, so an extra star for the service. Very close to being a perfect BBQ spot!

Smokehouse sampler for one.. brisket .. pulled pork.. pickles.. Mac n cheese .. roll
    Michele Elizabeth S.

Service was friendly and quick .. it's a fast casual restaurant .. lots of variety and prices are both fair and reasonable .. had the sampler for 1..the portion says for 1 but could easily be for 2 people ... community, law enforcement and military oriented decor .. seems to be be veteran owned .. which is pretty cool .. the vibe is chill and the food was really good .. tender brisket.. would have preferred if pulled pork didn't come pre seasoned as it changed the flavor of the bbq sauces .. but solid food and I'd come back again when in the area.

If you want bbq this spot is it. Their food is delicious and served fresh. Great service. Lots of sauces to choose from. The Mac and cheese is okay but the brisket makes up for anything the Mac and cheese misses. Family friendly. Can enjoy your food there or take it to go.

My girlfriend is from Texas and so she's is BBQ snob when it comes to BBQ. We came here to Red, White and Que smokehouse to see how it compares to Texas. We got the brisket, pulled pork, jalapeno cheese sausage, pork ribs, with mac & cheese and bake beans. Let's just say this place is Texas approved. Everything was delicious and has a nice smokey char to it!! Some of the best brisket and cheddar sausage I've had anywhere outside of Texas. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back!!

They gave us some candied bacon to try (I only took a pic at the very end) but it was amazing. The cornbread was so good. Most places get this item wrong. The employees were friendly and even offered us samples. We ordered the brisket, pulled pork, and ribs with a side of collard greens. It comes with pickles and your choice of two sauces. I don't remember the names of the sauces, but the regular one tasted like watery ketchup, the spicy one was watery ketchup with some pepper and wasn't very spicy. There was a mayo-based sauce that my partner said was good, but only good if you like mayo. The brisket had a very smoky flavor and the outside was peppery and kinda good, but the meat was incredibly dry. I ate it, but it didn't digest well for me. It was all smoke and cardboard, unfortunately. The pulled pork and the ribs were actually good, but we've had better elsewhere. Same feelings about the collard greens. The free pickles were bread and butter style, no variety or choice in that matter.

We arrived on a Saturday the place was absolutely packed but we were seated within about 5 minutes. We were seated right near the smokers and it was so cool to watch them prepare each dish. The presentation here is phenomenal as is the quality of all the meat here. A fresh salad with oil was brought complimentary to the table and it was delicious. We ordered the Buffalo smoked chicken wings and Baba-Ghanoj for appetizers. The chicken wings were so tender that as you picked them up the meat literally fell off the bone! The sauce was subtle but had a nice Buffalo kick at the end. The baba-ghanoj was served cold and was perfect with a little sprinkle of salt. The fresh pitas paired perfectly with it. I'm glad I did my research on this spot as everyone recommended the fresh mint lemonade. Wow amazing and refreshing I love that it came out as a slushy like consistency. I could easily drink them all day and they're probably amazing to eat outside in the warmer months and enjoy. We each ordered the meat platters in 1lb portions which are served with fresh smoked rice that is so good and filling. I wanted the beef shank but sadly they were out and ordered the smoked beef short rib. They served everything on a platter for us which the presentation I must say is outstanding . My boyfriend ordered the smoked brisket and it was so tender and flavorful he kept saying "it's terrible you won't like it because he didn't want to share it at all LOL". We had no room for dessert but I cannot wait to return for our next dinner date night! I would definitely give it 4/5 stars. Nothing was terrible the only complaints I had is once we were seated and our order was taken our server asked if we want appetizers first which we said yes and everything came out at once. Which is fine not terrible just our table was packed and hard to eat. Additionally once our food came out it was hard to get anyone's attention for more drinks but it was no too much of an issue that it ruined the night as they were definitely way too busy and seemed to be short staffed. I definitely want to return and check out the rest of their menu. I highly recommend making the trip to Kanoon!

The meat quality was actually on par with some à la carte Korean BBQ spots I've been to.
