I have purchased and traded in around six vehicles with this dealership over the years. Every time I considered getting into another vehicle, I went back to them. I built a great relationship with one of the salesmen -- very friendly, professional, and easy to work with. I truly appreciated him. Unfortunately, my most recent experience completely changed my perspective. Because of the long-standing relationship and trust I had built with them, I didn't feel the need to bring a mechanic to inspect the Escalade I purchased last year. Within just a couple of days, we began noticing several issues. The vehicle ended up needing approximately $6,000 in repairs and maintenance. On top of that, two different salesmen confirmed to me that the vehicle had Apple CarPlay -- which was a major feature for me when making the purchase decision. After buying the vehicle, I found out it did not have Apple CarPlay. To add it now would cost around $1,200 out of pocket. Given our history and loyalty, I genuinely believed management would step up and help resolve at least some of the issues. Instead, I felt avoided and dismissed. No meaningful effort was made to make the situation right. When I attempted to trade the vehicle back in shortly after, they offered me $10,000 less than what I had just paid. That was extremely disappointing. I still think highly of the salesperson I worked with, but unfortunately, management ruined the trust I had in the dealership. This is going to be long***Beware*** If you are a female that takes your vehicle in for service without a male with you. ***You will get taken advantage of***** Oct 2025 I took my vehicle to Brotherton Cadillac (Single Female), which is where I not only bought it from but our previous 8 vehicles from as well for an oil change, when I went to pick it up they explained they suggested a few items to be repaired, which they said one was on the warranty and the other. I schedule on repair and had it taken care of. From there I started having more items to be repaired, after picking my vehicle up, my entertainment system went out, no media,camera, no nothing, radio started to change stations on its own and the light below began to flash. I was told I probably the one item that was not covered by my warranty and I had not had repaired. So I scheduled and took my care in for that repair. Picked my vehicle up and two days later and the same issue accrued. I called and was told to bring I back in, which they said that the entire infotainment system was bad and it was covered by the warranty. They had my care for 2 weeks without providing me a vehicle. After picking my vehicle up 2 weeks later, left the dealership and the system went out again, but came back on later that night. A week or so passes and my system goes out again. I called and was told to bring it back in. Took it back in and explained to them I would need a vehicle because this was unacceptable. They provided me a vehicle which they took my credit card for a deposit hold. My vehicle was there another week, and I was told the Service Director Ryan Anderson would be driving my vehicle to see it the issue could be duplicated, which he said I did not. Picked my care again,and again same issue and an additional issue, now not only is my infotainment system blacking out continuously but my vehicle is shutting down when I is tuned off because the clock is stopping as if here was no power to the vehicle. I asked could it be electrical or the new system they put in and was told no. They said bring it in again, I did same thing they would drive and see what happens because they were not getting any codes. Then finally they said they got a code and they would repair from that code, which hey say they did.. I picked my vehicle up, and it just goes on and on from here every week I was taking it back in where eventually that said the part I needed was now discontinued and there was nothing they could do. Through out all of this they kept saying this is covered by warranty, not sure why charge warranty when they never repaired my vehicle, it has been 6 months of me taking my car back for the same issue to no avail. Throughout aIl of this I had ask to speak to the Gen Manager Ryan Anderson who continued to assure me they would take care it me on multiple occasions. I then reached out to Brad Brotherton, I also reached out to the Service Gen Manager Arun Vaidyanathan and neither of the two returned my call, which I knew they would not. I find it quite interesting that in my research I found a service review where the General manager wanted it removed and the review was same bad service that I have experienced. SEE BELOW: May 05, 2024 SALES VISIT - NEW Please never shop at Brotherton Cadillac of Renton. They sold us a damaged 2024 Cadillac CT5. Underneath the front bumper was damage taped up with electrical tape to try and hide the damage. My wife took the Cadillac to the car wash and huge pieces of tape started hanging off the bottom of bumper. Spoke with ARUN VAIDYANATHAN GENERAL MANAGER asked him why it was not disclosed the car was damaged. He asked me why my wife and I didn't climb under car to inspect car. I told him we have bought several new cars and never had to climb under the car to inspect under for damage.. Expected the dealership to be more honorable and disclose they had damaged the car. I did explain to Ryan the Service Dir. that I thought they were trying to take advantage of me because I was a female. The last time my car was at there service department they manage to put 69 mile on my vehicle as I asked the Service manager was Ryan taking my car home and he replied yes. Was told Warranty was 3yrs/100k miles. Engine went bad ~9/1/2025 20K miles. First off, lied and engine was not from GM, but a 3rd party. I leased a vehicle from there a year ago. The purchasing process, I thought at the time, was painless and quick. Well as quick as buying a car usually is. I though the my sales person and the financing specialists were adequate at their jobs and I was in and out without a hitch. Fast forward one year, and the tarnish on the crown starts to appear. Problem #1 I found out out that while I was getting my tire repaired, there was no lug nut key in order to remove the tire. I quickly made a call to the service department about it. Turns out no one who was involved with the dealer prep though it was good idea for me to have it. It was taped to the sales paperwork in the folder. What??? Somebody actually saw this and instead of calling me to let me know they have it, they thought it was a good idea just to file it away. Amazing. Problem#2 The financing person talked me into getting this repair coverage for my black wheels. At the time I thought it was a good idea. Still do in fact. I called them to have this done since I did in fact scuff the one of the wheels. The person I talked to told me to bring the car in to have the service rep take a look at it and make an appointment to have it repaired. So I drive down there and guess what? They don't provide that service there anymore. I was told I had to go to there other dealer on the opposite side of town to have that done. Again! No body thought it was a good idea to inform me of this? Especially since I had just spoke with them on the phone? Suffice it to say, I am beyond not happy with the low level of customer service I've received from this dealership. The way they treat you, you'd think I was buying a 10 year old used car instead of a luxury marquee name like Cadillac. This is my third Cadillac. The first two were purchased at another dealership, and I have to say, the customer service I receive there versus Brotherton Cadillac are miles apart. Where to begin ... I purchased a 2020 Ram 1500 on 12/7/2024 from Brotherton Cadillac in Shoreline Washington. Within my drive home noticed a very noticeable popping from the front end. I call the dealership to report the issue and was assured by Sales Manager Johnny the issue would be fixed and not to worry. After over a month at the dealership with very little communication without me having to show up or repetitively call my truck has still not been fixed. I have been charged over $300 for a rental car provided to me by the dealership as no loaner car was available as I "opted" into the damage wavier to protect the asset. Now my check engine light is on which wasn't on when I dropped the truck off. The General Manager Arun will not return calls / voicemails or stand behind their vehicles sold. For one I was very pleased with the car when I first purchased it a month ago. Within three weeks, I already started showing error codes on a 2025 Cadillac lyric. I took my car in last Thursday and they were supposed to overnight the part from Michigan is what I was told I called today which is now Monday, 12 August and told him I was gonna come back and pick up my vehicle. I went to check my vehicle yesterday and my door was unlocked and it looks like they switched out my tires originally on my vehicle for someone else's tires These tires I can tell the difference they're not the same tires and my rims look totally different except for one I was not expecting for them to keep my car for a week. They were also supposed to fix a stem on my front right tire didn't have any codes Being thrown regarding tires and all of a sudden I have tire code issue, saying that the sensor isn't working it was working before I brought my car there. My experience with this dealership was absolutely awful. I was misled, lied to, my car was damaged. Pathetic ! I was told the car I was interested in had "paint protective film" (PPF) already applied, therefore, I had to pay for it. Come to find out it didn't have the PPF, it was installed shortly before I picked the car up. I waited 2 hours for their finance person to get me in a room and baffle me with BS. They drove my 140k car through their disgusting automatic car wash which put spider scratches in the paint. Just a quick happy review for Brotherton Cadillac. I know most people say they equate going to a dealership right up there with getting a dental crown replaced, but Brotherton will make you reconsider that opinion, I promise. Full disclosure: I grew up around a little car dealership and owned/operated an auto repair and Chevron for well over a decade, as well as being a customer for many years after that. Who better to understand this scenario, especially for women? I brought Lola (my 2019 Cadillac XTS) in for service the other day at Brotherton. She needed an oil change, and the screen thing (the technical term for those who might not know it) was frozen. I did go online and try to fix it myself. There was swearing and no success; I'm just saying...So, I walk into a fairly busy service department and am instantly greeted with, "Hello, be right with you." It takes less than five seconds to acknowledge a customer; they understand that. Chris, my service tech, is amazing. He actually listened to me. He asked all of the right questions without ever being condescending or dismissive. He didn't know me from Adam; he didn't need to. He treated me with the same respect I saw him treat the guy before me; how cool is that? He looked up my extended warranty and had the needed repairs approved before I came back from lunch. I am happily taking her back in this next week to have the work completed. Yes, it is a bit of a trek from Snohomish, but it is well worth it, in my opinion. And their waiting area is amazing, just saying! While I was waiting, I wandered out to the dealership part...I do love cars... Here's what I experienced: I wasn't swooped on immediately - THANK YOU! I was greeted but didn't feel like I was about to be in a "hostage situation." I am a big fan of this approach. The salesman, Yaroslav, was terrific. Again, just like Chris in service, I was treated with respect, as if (alert the media) Yaro appreciated having me there. No pushy-pushy, no "I must be invisible" feeling, no two billion questions, and no "where is the man I should be talking to" attitude! Hurray!!! I had a 2017 GMC Yukon Denali SUV. On May 4, 2024 it broke down while I was in Yakima, WA.,150 miles from my home in Sammamish, WA. The GMC dealership in Yakima determined that the 6.2 Liter engine, with only 65,000 miles, needed to be replaced. Little did I know that GMC was not able to secure one, because these particular engines have had a bad habit of needing to be replaced with an undetermined backlog like mine! I inquired about the possibility of Brotherton, the dealer where I had purchased the now broken 2017 in 2020 through Jason Liu, buying the vehicle in Yakima, paying off the remaining loan, and providing enough for a down payment for another vehicle. My expectations were very low considering the 2017 had no engine. In fact I asked to try not to laugh before I made my pitch to him! We'll, the man worked a miracle!!!
