I decided to treat myself to an ageless facial and brow appointment for my birthday this year, and I'm so glad I did just that!! I had an appointment with Rene and it was fabulous to say the least. Let's start at the beginning: The building the studio is in has a parking lot right next door - heaven sent in DTLA so that already made my day. The studio itself is very welcoming with plenty of light coming through the windows that provide a view over downtown. Rene started with my brows - he showed me a suggested shape that we would continue to use as a guideline for future appointments, waxed them to perfection, and showed me how to fill the sparse areas in. A teen of 90s/early 200s, I definitely have a few areas that need to regrow but the way Rene waxed them does not make those areas seem as noticeable. The facial was next - The treatment was extremely relaxing and I could feel my skin rehydrating by the second. I think I may have taken a mini nap half way through - that's how relaxing it was! My face felt so refreshed and hydrated by the end of the facial that I asked for skincare recommendations. They use the ISClinical line at the studio and I absolutely love it. I purchased products for a morning and evening routine and have been using them for the past week. I've spent enough money on facial care and can confirm that the products are totally worth it - I'm using fewer products, less of each product, and my skin feels more hydrated than it has in a long time. I recently had the Ageless Facial with Ashley! Such an amazing experience. I live 4 hours away on the central coast and let me tell you this facial is worth the drive. Ashley's signature facial is completely customized for what your skin needs at the time. Not cookie cutter at all which is lovely. Ashely is the sweetest. This 80 minute facial leaves you feeling clean, hydrated and refreshed. I had a lot of congestion and her extractions were very effective and I left with zero redness! I initially found a Rene on Instagram when he was just a one man show in a tiny studio. We started me on my brow rehab journey. I have to admit I was skeptical about getting my brows done.. I really lack much dark brow hair and other than a little fuzz I really just pluck here and there and haven't ever had a need to get my brows done (so I thought). René welcomed me into a cozy studio with a fresh and aromatic atmosphere. I was immediately at ease and felt happy with my decision to treat my expression bars to some maintenance. I went to Jessica Jay for a facial and my skin is glowing! It was my first time at the Brow Down Studio and first of all: it's a hidden gem. The studio is so cute and the staff is so welcoming. I suffer from chronically dry skin and the hydro facial brought my skin back to life. It was like night and day when I left. I highly recommend Jessy and the staff there.
