The woman insisted I needed freeon & gave me a quote for it & diagnostics ($190). When I explained I didn't need freeon, she became annoyed with me & suggested I go elsewhere; I'm happy I did. Just next door, I'm getting a new compressor after paying $60 for diagnostics.

I called R&D after a friend recommended them, and was quoted a very good price. So I had my car towed from La Crescenta to Littlerock. I meet Pete on Thursday and we went over the details and price. My car was ready on Saturday in perfect condition. It took a day longer becasue my timing chain tensioner was bad. So having to order the part took one day. Pete was great, everything was perfect. Bottom line is, was it worth it to have my car towed from La Crescenta to Littlerock? HELL yes and I will do it again. Great people, great price and and terrific work. Thank you Pete. Great to back on the road again.

He does a thorough check and is HONEST! Multiple times I have taken my car thinking something needed done (brakes, fluid flush, belt), and any other mechanic would have just done the work and gotten the sale, but he has always been honest and saved me hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. (Blow out brake dust, just adjust the belt, tell me fluids are good, just to name a few.) He also explains everything so you really know what's happening with your vehicle and why/how out happened. I've moved to the valley and I have experienced other mechanics... I will opt for driving and/or towing to R&D over going anywhere else again! Trust me when i tell you it's worth the time, the distance, the tow cost, or whatever other excuse you'd have to not want to go there. If you can't be your own mechanic, R&D is the next best thing!
