Used Brown's carpet cleaning to clean a couple couches recently (March). Unfortunately the result was poor and the customer service since even worse. I'd asked in advance of hiring him if they could get animal smells out of upholstery and he said yes we can. This was not the case. My couches don't look or smell clean, but the floor was soaked and it took two days for them to dry. Also, there are some tears in them that I believe were caused from going over there fabric with their tools repeatedly. In any case, I emailed the owner letting him know this and it's been radio silence since. I've sent him two messages and they have gone totally unanswered. Mind you, when I was trying to book the service, he was on it with the responses, so I'm being ignored. I simply either want them done right or at the very least a partial refund. I basically paid $175 for my floors and couches to get soaked. Oh, and the they were two hours late to the 12-1 window I was given and I got the excuse that it was because I hadn't replied with my phone # (we'd already agreed on the time). Apparently there are lots of people setting up fake appts to get their couches cleaned? Since the bad service I went back through the reviews and see that the owner doesn't seem to take any accountability for his mistakes or bad service, very unprofessional in my opinion. read more

Our dog had recently had been on a medication that made her less than competent with not using the carpets as a bathroom. They were a complete wreck. I am amazed by how new they look! This was the 3rd time we used Brown's Carpet Cleaning in 2 years. This time we had 2 Lazy Boy Recliners cleaned that had never been cleaned before. When he cleaned them the color was stripped out of them. The owner of Brown's said he didn't like what happened as he was cleaning the 2 chairs and he would "make it good or replace the chairs" and he told me that's why he has insurance. It took nearly a week for the chairs to dry out and they are streaked and ruined. Now the owner of Browns carpet cleaning says to call the guy he gets cleaning chemicals from but that's not who we paid over $300 to do business with. We can't even get an email or call back from Brown's now (I guess it's time to file an insurance claim and contact the Better Business Bureau). Caution if you value your furniture! read more

Browns has been out to my home in Oakley 5 times and has always done an A+ job. Honestly our carpet was so nasty from children (who don't listen to their pops) and an elderly dog. I was ashamed to have anyone in my house including strangers who come to clean said carpet. This company was jalways professional and will turn your funky carpet to looking like a respectable human cares after it. You can recognize how important a job well done is to Mr Brown. On several occasions he was at our home with a young and green new hire and I am impressed on how he trains his employees. I would have liked a boss like himself when I was fresh out of high school. The prices are very competitive and when you call and speak with the company you feel assured that your business is valued. Not like other places where a dispatcher answers and could care less about your hard earned dough. For carpets that need that extra love they use this spray treatment with the hot water extraction that leaves a pleasant cinnamon type scent. My parents live on Richmond and to keep this review 100% honest have one of the rankest carpets I have seen. Bless their hearts. Browns came out for an estimate and said the carpet was in need of a "restoration". LOL! What it needed was a trip to the local landfill. I was blown away with the job Browns did on my Mom and Dad's carpet and my mother was more self conscious than I was. In all instances we chose to leave the heavy furniture in place and Browns used a foil type material under furniture legs that were removed and replaced upon cleaning. I dont write many reviews on here and if I do it's probably for a bad experience but this company gets two thumbs up and two big toes. It has been a year since I've used their service as I finally got new carpet. I will be calling them in the near future because life.
