I had some water damage to a 5 x3 ft section of my carpet. I got an estimate from another cleaning service for 850 then 650. I called Browns carpet cleaning and told him the situation. He was ready to get on it that evening but I said it could wait until the morning. He was here at 7am this morning on the dot! He cleaned and treated the spot, my carpet is a very light cream color. The spot is completely gone and it looks almost like it did when I first got it 13 years ago! Amazing work! His pictures are a great example of his work. I will use him for my carpets from now on. Contacted several cleaning businesses and Brown's carpet cleaning was able to come the soonest for an "emergency" cleaning in my home office. We ended up doing more than what I originally wanted and I can say that Brown's carpet cleaning left my carpets spotless in just a short period of time. I scheduled an appointment for 1pm, Alvin, (not owner) shows up 30 mins late, no phone call. Does the upstairs then argues about doing downstairs, I tell him I have messages showing estimate was for whole house. He does a "spot cleaning" for extra $25, 2 weeks later spots are still there. He then goes to tell me they only accept cash, I only have $180 on me, $15 more than what total was. I was in a hurry to leave so I said whatever & paid. His van won't start, it was here until almost midnight. I get home & realize it says on the back of van they accept Visa etc. Message Mr. Brown & explain to him that tech told me cash only & gave me no change, he tells me tech never said any of that & said I only wanted the cleaning then tells me he was firing him & that's it. I paid $45 extra than what I was quoted, van left in my parking spot for almost 9 hours & spots/stains are still visable, not even offered a refund for the extra $45 I was ripped off for. read more

I WOULD NOT SPEND A DIME WITH THIS UNPROFESSIONAL!!! SERVICE IS IMPORTANT ALSO. IT'S CALLED COMMON CURTOSITY!! I have been able to see Brown's work on the website and in person. He was hired to do rooms in the house that I am staying in and at the time he was not able to do my room and said he would return at another time convenient for both parties. About 5 weeks ago I called to make an appointment with him. I reminded him who I was and the $25 price that he had quoted. He expressed his hesitancy with wanting to come to Antioch (mind you the same city in which his business is based) for "$25" his quote "...I don't know if I want to come to Antioch for only $25". However, the appointment was made for the convenience of both parties for Sunday Nov 19th @ 8am (Today). This morning I prepared for his arrival by moving necessary items and furniture and at 8am he never showed up. I called him at 8:15 and he didn't answer the phone. I left him a message and told him that I was waiting for him and could he give me a call. Instead of giving me a call like a real professional, he texted me and said "Something came up and I can't get to you until 4pm" I immediately recalled the conversation we had about him not wanting to service me for a mere $25 (his quote not mine) and thought to myself...he's not going to show. If something really came up and he is a real business man he would have called his scheduled appointments to cancel, which would be the professional thing to do. But I was giving him the benefit of the doubt and rearranged my schedule to accommodate his last minute change. Unfortunately, my instincts were correct! He never showed up. No call, no show, not even a text this time. When a call was made to him he tried to blame his no show on me by saying "I never texted him back"...For real. I don't care if his work is good or not, what he showed me today was blatant unprofessionalism at its core. He didn't even have the decency to give me a call to cancel. Instead he tied up my day and when he was pulled to the carpet (no pun intended) he couldn't even be a man and stand up to what has happened. Instead he blamed me - the one that picked up the phone and called. I would never spend money with him. He just showed his UGLY. Last week I required a service from Browns carpet service and when I originally asked what the price was he told me it was $165. Once the technician came in and looked at the carpet I already knew that the carpets weren't that great but the technician once he got here said the carpets are horrible and I need to pay more money as he recommended $100 deep cleaning treatment then he recommended a $50 spot treatment which I took the $50 for treatment and when he was done there were still spots. When I called to let Mr. Brown know about my carpet and that I wasn't happy he just said he was sorry to hear that he didn't say that I can accommodate you or can I come see them or can I send him a picture of what they look like he didn't say anything. instead he took it to his Facebook making comments about me & our private conversation and then blocked me and didn't allow me to defend myself. So in the end I didn't get any compensation or respect from this. I feel he didn't deal with this situation fairly or in a professional manner. This was a big lesson learned and I will never try and support him or recommend anyone to him. Do Not use this company!!!! First they showed up late because the house they cleaned before me refused to pay (now I see why), then the sprayed my sectional down, soaking wet only to brush it & tell me the upholstery wand doesn't work and now I have to wait half an hour for the owner who has working equipment to come finish the job. When the older guy goes outside the younger one tells me this happened at the last house. If you knew you didn't have the tools to do the job why are you here? Then he apologizes and says he can do my carpet and have the owner finish the sectional. Literally 15 mins later he's done with the carpet and it looks no different from when he started. At this point I'm beyond pissed, they go to make up more excuses & they can't guarantee anything, etc, I asked them to redo it, what's another 15 mins right? You just wasted 2 hours of my time already at least do what you came to do. He refuses telling me his boss was coming & he'd fix it. I had him call the owner back to see when he would be here because I had other things to do. The owner curses him out and I can hear him yelling through the phone, why are you still there I told you to leave, I'll be there when I get there. Now I'm fuming! How much more unprofessional could you be! Very disrespectful to his employee. He finally said he'd be here in 15 mins, after 20 mins I left, half an hour later he calls telling me he's waiting for me outside my house until I get back. All he did was make excuses and hang up in my face. Don't waste your time with these people!! I still have a wet carpet and a soaking wet couch!!! That are still dirty!! read more
