I went to Brownstone Pancake Factory for brunch and ordered the Fried Oreo Cheesecake Pancakes. There were fried Oreos within the three buttermilk pancakes as well as on top of them, along with cheesecake. Not surprisingly, this was delicious, but the portion was enormous. The cheesecake was nice and creamy, while the fried Oreos made the pancakes special. The $16 price tag is fair for the size. Although it was Black Friday and the restaurant was packed, we were still able to be seated immediately and the free valet parking lifted the trouble of finding a parking spot. Our waiter was super friendly and the service speed was fine. The interior has a diner kind of feel with a bustling atmosphere. Overall, Brownstone Pancake Factory is a place that you should definitely experience if you're not watching your weight. The food is pretty good and very aesthetic for photos. Also, the portions are huge, so be prepared to have leftovers afterward (and a very full stomach). The truffle fries was the true star of the show. They were thick fries with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on with the fan favorite.. truffle oil. They came out hot and ready to be devoured. Accommodating a large group is not easy, but Destinee and crew were both hospitable and efficient. We came on Saturday around 5 pm, were seated quickly wasn't very busy. This place gets one star due to the manager on duty on 5/31 at 9am. Due to lifted restrictions, NJ no longer has a mask mandate for vaccinated people. However, there was a sign at brownstone that said "kindly wear your mask while walking to your table". Unfortunately we forgot our masks, but to be considerate I went to the front and asked. We then had valet park our car where we walked in and were "greeted" by the manager. She told us we had to wear masks and we said someone else just told us we were ok. Then, she raised her voice and said "WELL SHE'S NOT A MANAGER". We asked if they had spare masks and we would be happy to wear them to our table. This is when the hostess came back and the manager scolded her loudly right in front of us and other patrons. I felt horrible. The hostess ended up coming over and apologizing- which she did not need to. The manager should have. Just to be clear, we would have sat outside or wore if they had ones to spare but the manager was extremely condescending and was not interested in dealing with us. However, during our 40 minute meal, we saw people enter/exit and walk freely through the restaurant without masks. I suggest to not go when this miserable girl is working.
