These folks run a pretty unethical practice and I don't expect them to be around too long !!…read more I bought a Groupon and a few hours before the appointment I called to confirm and they told me that they only accept Zelle and Venmo . I said it doesn't matter coz I have a Groupon and they said they'll offer the same rate if I cancel the Groupon . I didn't but they emailed Groupon and said that my skin was not appropriate for the treatment so they were offering the refund . I still went ahead coz I had driven a good 45 mins and it eventually was costing me the same. Later I refused to pay by Zelle and Venmo and they said that they accept credit card too but they would charge me the transaction fee too and I said Groupon didn't charge me the transaction fee so I won't pay it and they agreed . The facial - they told me if I used the Groupon they would do a basically facial and otherwise they would upgrade the serum . As the girl started working on my face . She started talking about my facial hair and tried to sell me hair removal packages at which time I told her I don't any sales being done to me while I'm getting a facial . I feel like they cut corners and didn't use the necessary serums for the facial and it's my guess but upon leaving while dressing up I checked and what she referred to as serums were the glycolic and salicylic acid that is used in the facial and I didn't see any empty vials . So I don't know what they did . Overall , this business is deeply unethical and I don't know what I got, but I'm not going back . The level of nickel and diming and skirting ethical and integral practices tells me , they gotta go !

The products she used on my skin felt wonderfully calming, and I'm so glad I had an experienced person work on me. I'll be back again for the same thing.

I found her on Yelp and saw 4-5 stars not realizing a majority was for microblading and not lashes. I called and she took me in an hour later at her home which seemed "normal" to me because of COVID-19. She did state she works from home and not her salon because of her fear for COVID-19 which I totally understood. The process took about an hour. When I saw it I was so happy because it looked very nice. I was looking at my lashes on my way home and touched them ever so lightly and that's when I felt this hardness all across my lids. When I got home I looked in the mirror and I saw so much glue. More than 50% of the lash extensions were glued crookedly over my lashes. The most I found was she glued 1 extension over 4 of my natural lashes. It's so disappointing because I entrusted her and it was only to ruin my natural lashes. The glue was so thick and just poorly placed. Come to think of it, I don't remember feeling or hearing her separate my natural lashes as I did when I would go to my usual lash lady.(my usual lash lady wasn't available).

I also want quick heal because I don't want to wear an ugly eye brow for a few days and wish it will turn good at last. After reading a few comments and consult with Lulu, I decided to give it a try. I did both eyeliner and brow. It is so good!!! Exactly what I want. That's a picture taken right after the process. The pain is minor. I like the design and the natural look! Definitely worth the money! I heard from other services that their process usually requires a few days to heal. This one doesn't need that! I can wear a beautiful eye brow and go to work right after it. Thank you so much!!!

If I could give 10 stars I would. It is my first permanent, make up procedure of any kind. Vivian…read moreis kind, caring, and an expert. I just got my eyebrows done by her last weekend. It is still in the healing process, but she walked me through every step of it as well as a clear plan for aftercare. it is literally the best decision I have made. She was patient and really listened to what I wanted. She has excellent aseptic technique and a good eye for detail and beauty. I will only ever let her touch my face from now on!

My previous artist effed up my brows, so theirs still a faded line below my new tattoo. Some artist won't work with that because its more difficult to tat up but she found her way around to glamorize my brows again. Normally I have anxiety doing 1 on 1 sessions with a stranger, especially if they're gonna needle in my eyebrows, but Vivian's calm demeanor and relatable conversations put me at ease through out the whole procedure. One topic that put me at ease: We spoke about our eyebrow journey and how we didn't like it when artists force us to go with their opinions. Which reassured me that she is chill and will help me get the brow style I prefer. Another topic that made me conclude that she is knowledgeable and experienced with many clients: knows the many different styles of eyebrows. Even listed how old school Vietnamese ladies like the rainbow like arch and how Koreans or Asians straight from the motherland prefer thicker brows. Which is very much accurate from my own encounters. If you want every little detail of how the procedure went, keep reading below. 1st session - 1. Considerate enough to ask if you need to use the restroom before the session begins. 2. Sits you down and consults what your preference of eyebrow style is. 3. She will then dip a string with erasable ink and line your brow area in order to make the tattoo symmetrically even. 4. Proceeds to draw in the style you ask. Adjust to your liking. I personally wanted it thinner and more arched, which she negotiated and fixed for me without hesitation. You know how some artist out there can be and fight to be right. 5. She applies a numbing cream. Sets it in for a bit then starts needling. 6. Finished! She hands you a mirror to see how you like it so far since she genuinely cares if it matches your preferences. 7. Afterwards you get a cute mini hustle butter to apply on your brows. Safe to use and smell so much better than aquaphor. 8. Gives you a run down on after care and lets you know to text her if you got any questions. 2nd session for touch up - Quicker session since it's just to check up if you want it darker or wanna add more detail. Thanks again Vivian!

I am so glad I found Yu Beauty Bar. I had actually been in contact with Cherlene for a couple years…read morebefore I took the plunge and scheduled my first laser removal for my eyebrows. Every time I reached out to Cherlene, she would reply. Great customer service and very professional. She's very knowledgeable and you can tell that she and her team take a great interest in educating their clients and making sure they leave her studio having clear expectations. I was matched up with Fan's schedule and saw her a total of three times for my laser eyebrow removal. She is so kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable! Because of my back issues and vertigo, she would adjust the chair accordingly and she would often check in with me during the session to make sure I was tolerating the procedure. She was gentle and caring and that made a huge difference! My eyebrows faded nicely and I am hopeful that I will be able to get my new brows done in a couple of months. I can't wait to see how they turn out. Would highly recommend this studio for laser eyebrow removal!

Only that my right brow was significantly thinner than my left. Other people see the difference between them both . I'm not trying to complicated just honest. My brow are not tense or lifted. The staff was sweet and kind, and Corinna herself was very nice, which is why this review is bittersweet for me. I truly wanted to have a good experience, but unfortunately my results were very disappointing--especially considering the amount I paid. During my first visit, the procedure was one of the most painful experiences I've ever had because there seemed to be a lack of care for my comfort. I was not offered any numbing cream, and I was in significant pain throughout the entire appointment. Before coming here, I already had nice eyebrows done by another professional--I simply wanted a touch-up to make them a little darker and slightly thicker in the middle. Instead, I was charged $700 as though this were my first full brow procedure, despite already having existing work done. I was also charged an additional $100 for "nano" work that was not done deeply enough, and it completely faded away once the scabbing healed. Another major issue was that she shaved parts of my natural eyebrows that should never have been touched. I expected only the small hairs underneath my brow to be cleaned up, but instead more of my natural brow was removed. I carefully followed all aftercare instructions, yet the pain in my eyebrows lasted nearly three weeks. Most importantly, she did not follow the shape I requested. I specifically wanted my brows to remain similar to what I already had--slightly thicker in the middle--not higher, not more pointed, and not thinner. Unfortunately, that is exactly what she changed. I let it go after the first visit, hoping the touch-up would correct things. Sadly, the second visit made everything worse. I returned because the nano strokes had disappeared and my brows still did not look darker--as if I had barely had anything done despite spending so much money. During the touch-up, even more of my right eyebrow was shaved off, making it much thinner and more pointed than it has ever been in my life. I walked out looking like I had overly thin 1990s brows, which was absolutely not what I wanted. Now my right brow is noticeably thinner and more pointed, while my left brow was left thicker and more intact. I am literally walking around with two uneven eyebrows after paying $800 total. This was a very expensive service for me, and I trusted this business with my face. Two years ago, I paid another professional in San Jose much less, and the results were beautiful. I came here expecting the same level of expertise and care, and unfortunately that was not my experience. Again, the staff was kind, and this is difficult to write because everyone was pleasant--but kindness alone does not make up for poor results, pain, and leaving a client with uneven brows after such an expensive service. This version is strong, credible, and more likely to be taken seriously by readers and the business.
