Under fluorescent lighting (excuse my pimple patches)

I had such a great experience with Tina! She did permanent makeup on my brows and lash line, and I couldn't be happier with the results. My brows look incredibly natural and turned out absolutely perfect, I was initially nervous about them looking too dramatic but she was very clear about what to expect and tailored them perfectly to what I wanted. She is extremely knowledgeable, precise, and professional, and she took the time to follow up afterwards. Her space is also beautiful, clean, and such a vibe! I felt comfortable and confident the entire time and also appreciated how she mapped and numbed the areas beforehand. I was being kind of a wimp during the lash line portion and she remained patient and understanding hahaha I would 100% go back and highly recommend her to anyone considering permanent makeup. I've attached some photos in different lighting throughout my healing process. Brows were flawless the entire time! I add a wing to my eyes as you can see in the photos. But otherwise no makeup needed for the rest of my lash line and brows. Thank you thank you thank you Tina!

Healed 6+ months after of lash and left brow! (I usually do a quick brow gel and trim sesh, but just wanted to show how it looks as is)

Alright beautiful lovelies, your search for eyebrow refinement is over. You're in Tina's safe and skillful hands now. Getting permanent makeup of any kind requires careful consideration and research if you want to avoid what might call regret... You really don't want to go to just anybody with the cheapest price/ assume all artists are skilled in the trade and align with your ideal brow. What I appreciate about Tina is that she's up front about her approach/opinions and will be 100% transparent. You do not want a "yes man" for a service like this! She obviously cares about making you happy, but she's also making big brain moves to make sure you're both on the same page on being educated about the style of NATURAL brows and managing expectations for the healing process and beyond. I almost went with another artists that didn't quite match the style that I was looking for (they were more bold/looked like they were full face makeup brows) because I was having a difficult time finding someone like Tina. Thank GOODNESS a dear friend brought up Tina's Instagram page (which is hilarious & educational!) and filled with incredible examples of the kind of soft and subtle brows that I dreamed of! I was really scared of having obviously done brows where I'd look strange if I did not have makeup done. Being 100% healed I can tell you that no one could tell I had permanent makeup done, I would just get comments and compliments about how "together" I've been looking and how neat my brows have been! My eyebrows were not too thin to begin with, but there were random gaps and some pretty obvious asymmetry to the shape at the "base" so Tina helped to even them out in both the shape and the fill! The pictures speak for themselves. I'm not the best at shaping or plucking my brows and always took forever trying to fix them up, but now I have a guide that helps me pluck lightning fast and I can honestly just brow gel most days without worrying about filling them in and taking extra time to fix them when I mess up and make them too heavy looking. I also got the lash enhancement done at the same time!! I really think Tina is incredibly talented to have been able to get those done when I was a SUPER twitchy and paranoid client LOL The logical part of my brain knew it would not happen, but the irrational part kept thinking the pen would go in my eye even though there was numbing and I could not feel it. And yet they still came out so clean and I'm SO happy she was able to get them done for me being the nightmare I was. Don't be afraid of pain!!! It will either feel like nothing or like someone lightly scraping a credit card on your brow... if that makes sense. Truly nothing to worry over. They have been the best investment in myself I have made in ever and I truly hope that if you're thinking of getting permanent brows done, go with Tina. She's the real deal, straight up, prideful of her work, and most of all considerate of your face! Check out my photos. Just want to clarify I did not go in for the touch up session because I'm very happy as is even though I have oily skin, but if you wanted a touch more definition than how my healed brows are, the touch up could get you closer to that and is an option. I am just already so thrilled as is and will be going back in time as needed.

I was looking into permanent make up options and found Tina on Instagram. What initially interested me, was her knowledge and expertise on powder brows vs. microblading, which can lead to scarring. I do not wear makeup often, but I wanted to have a natural, effortless look. When I reached out to Tina with my questions, she was helpful and patient on sharing her education and background as a PMU artist. I had found out later that Tina had received her training in various major cities abroad, which was evident in her professionalism and high quality service. Tina walked me through every step, always asked how I felt about my brows, and what look I wanted to achieve. Even though I trusted her fully, she kept me in mind the whole way. During the powder brow process, she consistently asked me how I was doing, pain level & checked in with my comfort level. Afterwards, Tina shared detailed an after care plan and schedule for touch up. I recently went back in for this touch up session, which was an awesome way of ensuring I was satisfied with my look. Each of our skin & brows are different, and Tina was phenomenal with helping me find beauty in my brows. TL;DR: I highly recommend Tina for your permanent makeup needs.

I love being able to wake up with my brows already done. Tina did such a good job! She took the time to make sure we were both happy with the shape and color. It's almost 2 years later and my brows still look amazing. The girl knows what she doing! Highly recommend Her cute studio is located in Kahala

Came to Tina last October (2021). This was the first time I've had microblading. The experience was positive. Tina met with me and answered all of my questions. She offered virtual or in-person, but I preferred an in-person consultation. Both the first and follow up session went well. Her studio is located across from Kahala Mall and parking is not a problem, and it's free. What I liked about Tina is that she took her time with the outline of my brows and made sure I liked the shape before began her work. Tina makes sure you know what to expect since everyone's body reacts different to microblading and how their skin absorbs the ink. I do have to warn those who are looking into this procedure, read the all the directions, prepare the best you can, but understand your body may react differently. For example, I followed the directions exactly as they were written, I went without caffeine, alcohol, Tea, medication for more than 24 hours...yet I kept bleeding during the procedure...a lot, which Tina kept mentioning. When your eyebrows bleed a lot, your eyebrows won't take the ink as well. So for those who also work in this field, just be aware that some of your clients may just be prone to bleeding more than others. I won't list how much I paid, but if you're interested please contact me privately.

Made my life so much easier! I have really thin brows, so I would always draw on my brows EVERYDAY. I never really thought of getting it done because I was scared I might not like it. I used to work a customer service job and I've seen sooooo much terrible brow tattoos. Until one day I came across Tina's instagram page and I was impressed with her work. Decided to get my brows done with her and I've never been happier with how it turned. Exactly how I wanted my brows to be. Setting up the appointment was easy. Her website has everything you need to know pre and post appt. She also sent them to me when I booked my appt and few days before my appt. She's very nice, honest and I felt really comfortable the whole time. we talked like we're old friends catching up even though that was the first time we met each other. The after care was easy, my brows didn't look like angry birds brow and peeled fast. Wasn't itchy at all.

"I'm wearing short sleeves, I don't want to expose my tattoos."…read more-Jerry Seinfeld Well now I DO wanna wear short sleeves to let my new honu peek out a bit! Been wanting to get a honu ink'd to remind me of where I came from... where home really is. Everytime I go back, I run out of time or just didn't want to give up the beach day. This time the whole fam was IN... when I explained my design concept, both my wife and daughter wanted their own version, still honu themed. da Scene: Determined to get this done done during the 16 day visit back home on Oahu, I did my research early and narrowed it down to 3 spots initially. After some dm's, email exchanges and finally some voice calls, it was Lai @ Tattoo Hawaii who I connected with most, so we scheduled an in-person consult and then our sessions, with 2 days left on our trip - only lost 1 beach day (it was a perfect one too). da Service: Every contact before our session was courteous and replied to promptly. I did have to be insistent on Lai doing our work, even if it meant spanning multiple days. His work on social media and Yelp! most connected with me. At our consult he explained how he would approach my design concept and adapt it to my wife and daughter. Lai was confident he could get us all done in one afternoon/evening session. The shop is tucked away on the 2nd floor of a little building on the corner of Kapiolani and Piikoi... parking is a challenge, so arrive early to wait out a spot. The shop is comfortable and can accommodate 3-4 artists working, with friends looking on in support. da Work: Kai was up 1st as hers would be the least complicated. She went with 3 petroglyph style honu, each about 3.5" diameter, ink'd fairly heavy - vertically on her upper arm, pretty classic design. She has several tattoos already and was surprised that Lai didn't work with a stencil... he simply free-handed the design with several pens, directly on your body. He's a very cool, confident cat, laid back and within minutes has you chatting it up like you went to high school together. I went next as my wife wanted to see how mine's worked out to help solidify her concept. Lai drew a honu/dragon/shark tooth design on my upper arm and I said "go for it". 2.5 hours later I was stunned at the fine details he added to the shark's teeth encircling the honu shell, as well as tribal accents in the honu, while incorporating the dragon profile. It really was satisfying to see my concept executed closely, while adding style and depth, bringing it to life. Carla was last up and really wanted to stick close to what I had done... just smaller and wanted the dragon to "pop" more. As you can see, Lai nailed it... however subtle, the dragon does appear more prominent on her piece. da Wrap: Really happy all-around, already thinking about how to add to it, maybe add color, grow it further down my arm, how to add to the story. It's a very personal thing and I really suggest you take your time to research and find the right artist. I'm confident that you'll find the right one at Tattoo Hawaii. We were there most of the day and saw several folks and artists' work, there was actually one guy there the whole time getting a large whole body piece worked on with a manual tattoo tool, that's an investment! HUGE shout out to Lai for making our sessions so enjoyable and comfortable... When he found out it was my and my wife's 1st work, he said he was honored to be 1st... such a humble guy, great disposition. We'll see you soon brother!

Many things have changed since my 2018 visit so the information in this review can stay relevant…read more I visited last week for a fairly large piece and Lai took care of it like he did with my two other ones. When you arrive remember to fill out the paperwork provided. This could probably be streamlined if it were made available online. Regardless, you can reach out to the shop via social media or even the shop's webpage too. We took multiple breaks on my last visit. What started out as a request for a pueo turned into a session to catch up since pre-pandemic and get back in the chair. Lai free handed the entire piece. I wanted a poly style piece with Lai's style and that's what I got. Very much appreciated for attention to detail. Reach out to the shop via social media and if you want specifics like cost and time, you better be specific about your request too. (i.e. size, color, design, etc). There are so many shops on Oahu and Tattoo Hawaii was the only one that gave me an accurate cost and time frame, not to mention some awesome conversation. Highly recommended and thoroughly enjoyed!

You have got to be kidding me, but I always wanted to go to Lisa the only reason why I call other places in the first place is because they open it on the little bit later side and I wanted to get it done as soon as possible but long story short EVERYWHERE else has crazy inflation prices... Lisa is seriously the only person that I remember it being the same amount from 10 years ago that is so crazy honestly I feel like she should make everything at least $10 more That's how good her services, she ain't even answered all my questions that I have about why my industrial fill out before and all that this is literally my first good review normally I only review places when it's like extremely bad not just a little bad I can handle that but if it's like the worst place I've ever been to then I have to write something to one others but Lisa is my first good review and I'm very thankful that she took me in as a walk-in and had me out within 10 minutes maybe even 5 minutes at the most thanks again Lisa :) PS she even exited the tipping screen and said to not worry about tipping her but of course I want to~she already has her prices ridiculously cheap.. When I arrived in Oahu I went by and we discussed what I wanted and I made and appointment and put down a deposit. My appointment was for Friday 2/9 at noon. Brian had drawn up the design for me that included the elements I asked for and it was even more beautiful than anything I had pictured. We decided to return for another tattoo this trip. My daughter got a beautiful red flower (we knew red ink tends to fade faster), and I got a beach scene with palm trees. Both tattoos came out lovely, truly 5-star-worthy work. The reason for my 3-star review isn't about the artwork but the experience afterward. While my daughter was in the lobby, the staff were admiring her tattoo, which was nice to hear, but then the conversation turned to comments about how the red ink wouldn't last and other remarks that weren't so positive. We completely understand the nature of red ink and appreciate honesty, but it's not great to overhear that kind of discussion right after getting a tattoo. For many people, including us, tattoos often hold sentimental meaning, they represent moments, memories, and people close to our hearts, even if we don't always share that story out loud. So, a little extra sensitivity goes a long way. Overall, the artistry and quality of the work are top-notch, but I'd just recommend being mindful of conversations when clients are still around to hear them.
