We went for a Friday night date. Even though it was last minute we were seated within 15 minutes (estimate was about 25 min). I'm a vegetarian so I really appreciated that there were 3-4 preparations of veggie and impossible burgers. I didn't love that all the appetizers were so heavy- we wanted something light but the apps list was like a full meal! We skipped apps and both ordered a burger. I noticed you could order a "burger snack" which is a smaller sized patty. I love this option since I usually hate the enormous portions given when eating out. We split a side of fries and that was plenty. We also splurged on strawberry cheesecake that I LOVED but my boyfriend didn't think it was spectacular (he really loves cheesecake so his standards may be higher than mine). We ordered using the online system via Yelp. This review is based upon the app ordering. We ordered specific items, special request because of dietary needs. The app worked pretty well. I asked for extra pickles, they gave a ton of pickles. However, they did add cheese which we requested to be left off. The other order I had put oat bun and they gave us a regular white bun. I had to put the order in twice because the first time when I checked the input the toppings were mixed up between the two items. I would give this online system a C at the current level, based on those problems. We had the same problems when ordering online from Denny's. Not sure if it's the app or the restaurant workers not reading the order and double checking to make sure it's what the receipt shows. I do know our receipt was correct. The order was ready quickly, 5 minutes quicker than expected. The staff we interacted with were pleasant. They didn't have to bring it out to our car, because I went in to use the restroom and it was ready after that. This is a convenient way to order if you are like us, traveling with a dog you don't want to leave alone in your vehicle. I'm glad Bru burger has options for vegetarians, more than the average place. Took my son and his girlfriend to Bru Burger at Keystone to celebrate his birthday. Even though it was December, it was 65 degrees so we sat outside. They brought a heater to our table and seated us against the building to counter the wind. Very accommodating. We shared the spicy Mac and cheese to start, which was wildly successful with us. So good! We each ordered a different burger and loved them all. The only negative was the slaw I ordered as my side. It was very dry and didn't have a lot of flavor beyond the cabbage. When it came time for our checks, 2 of us marked on the hand held payment processor that we wanted a receipt. Our server disappeared & never returned. We stopped another server & asked her to send him over. His comment was, I don't know if we still have them. Hmmm. Finally he did return with them & we left. I had an anniversary dessert coming but rather than deal with him again, I stopped at the reception desk & ask there. I was directed to the bar to place my order (I ordered the brownie). While I was standing there waiting, my original lunch server noticed me standing there, came over, addressed the bartender (not me) & said, I already gave her the receipt. I told him I was waiting on a dessert order - no comment, just walked away. When I got home & opened what should have been a brownie - it wasn't. I'm not sure what is was but definitely not a brownie. Overall this was not a good experience. I realize everyone has a bad day now & then but when you are in the service industry & you are training someone, hopefully the new hire will not pick up on the 'attitude'. My opinion about Bru Burger overall is mixed. It's not that good, but it's not bad either. I want to flat out like it, but it's something about it that throws me off. Maybe it's because I only eat turkey burgers since I don't eat beef. It takes me kind of long to eat them. They are boring even with the different kind of burger toppings. The fries and onion rings are kind of bad. I think all is needed is potato cut fries, those crispy bread/yeast tasting fries they have give me a headache and I can never eat them all. The batter on onion rings is way too thick. Those bru sauces are sort of weak in flavor; each one seems like it's missing something. I have been several times to find something that I can say is truly good, but it hasn't happened. I'll give them an "A" for their effort in establishing a gourmet burger chain and that's about it. Oh where do i start. First off, Me and my friend who are both 17, walked in and we were instantly treated as if we didn't know how to tip. We started off and our server didn't even tell us his name. he said "what to drink" and that was all. At first we thought our server, which we later found out was Kevin, was a newer server so we were cutting him some slack. Then another table sat next to us and being as it was a full 4 top with adults, Kevin no longer seemed new. It just seemed like we were treated poorly for being or a younger age.
