4 stars for bagels, 2 stars for management and really inconsistent service. For YEARS this location has slow, distracted service; the only solution is calling ahead for anything like a Bagel Bundle. Sometimes the kids working the counter do great. But more often: they forget the freezer bags, or mix heavily seasoned bagels with plain, or allow Uber-Eats drivers to interrupt their work when they come in flashing their phones. Once, the cashier saw I needed help, struggled with the slicer, sliced a few, set it aside, and forgot it. Someone else had to start from scratch. The bagels are good! But the real blood pressure raising aspect is getting what you ordered, correctly, in a reasonable amount of time. Only go here if you have PLENTY of time. read more

We love Brueggers and Jamba Juice! Our favorite is the blueberry bagel, and they always taste very fresh. I got a smoothie bowl this morning and it was great! Unfortunately they were out of blueberries this morning, but the gentleman who made my bowl was able to put additional other fruit on top to make up for this. This Bruegger's is clean and there are tables and chairs to sit at now, there's plenty of parking, staff is very friendly, this place gets busy, the quality is a step above McDonald's, breakfast or Dunkin's. Why, after all this time, is the dining room closed to the public??? You can't manage to keep 6 tables clean??? This is just pure laziness on the part of the management here, there is no justifiable reason to keep a dining room closed at this late stage of the COVID game. I'm glad I was able to go enjoy my food outside in the 90 degree heat and eat on the curb instead of them having to make the efforts to wipe down tables. Adding to the frustration, they burnt our bagels, didn't put the extra cream cheese I requested, and didn't put a fork in my bag (so I could have been eating my Luke-warm hash browns with my hands, had I not checked). Hopefully this isn't how they handle things like food storage or preparation, cleaning, etc. read more

I went to Bruegger's twice over the weekend as it's fast becoming my go to bagel place as they offer whole wheat and not just white bread. My dining partner and I decided to try the smoked salmon bagel (on a whole wheat bagel), minus the onions. I enjoyed the sandwich but wish they put cream cheese on both sides of the bagel. You're left with one side that has the cream cheese and capers on top of the smoked salmon and the other side soggy from tomatoes and not super tasty. Overall though the sandwich was great - I loved the cream cheese and it was very filling sharing it. I got an iced hazelnut coffee but it was disappointing. The machine was definitely not cold enough and it was very much like pouring hot coffee straight onto the ice which melted and made it more watery. It was marked ice and in a separate spot from the hot machines so I'm certain I was using the right machine. They should monitor that sort of thing more closely. It won't put me off from returning and I hope it was a one off issue as I do love their hazelnut coffee usually. read more

I ordered 2 jamba juices and 2 bagels and they tasted pretty good as usual. The smoothies were really refreshing and I definitely loved the bagels too. The food and drinks did not take that much time. Pretty good place in Bedford ma! read more

When we received our breakfast sandwiches and went to sit down, noticed signs on table stating dining room was closed. Chairs were zip-tied together so you could not sit and eat. No signs on door coming in, or I would have gone elsewhere. Dining room had plenty of room for distancing. I asked the guy behind counter why, said he didn't know, nor would he give me the contact info of manager. I would not have cared if there was a sign as you entered, saying no in-house dining room, but they didn't do that. read more

I like Bruegger's, they have decent bagels - they're not going to win a Best of Anywhere award, but the world has those already. Bruegger's is consistent and convenient, which is generally a good thing. I do have a couple minor quibbles with them - it bugs me that when you order in their app, it automatically adds extra things to drive the price up. So if I order an egg sandwich, the basic choice is one egg, but you can pay extra for a second. the app automatically adds the second egg, but if you're not looking closely you don't notice it. That's kinda slimy, Bruegger's. Also, I like that they cut the bagels in half (OK, technically it's in quarters, becuase it was cut once the long way, but then after they toast/shmear/fill/whatever, they cut it again. That's really nice, but inevitably they don't cut all the way through the bagel. Then you have to pull them apart, and if the bagel is full of cream cheese that's getting warm from the toasted bagel, and you have to grip it to pull the sides apart, you end up with cream cheese all over your hands and steering wheel (oh, no, of course I don't eat my bagel while driving!). If you just took the extra half a second to cut more completely, my steering wheel would not be smeared with cream cheese, making it slippery and leading to a terrible accident all because of how the bagel was cut. Let that weigh on your consciences! But other than potentially killing me in a traffic accident, their food is pretty good. read more

Absolute nightmare. Waited 20 minutes in a long line. Placed order. Waited 20 minutes. Tried to ask about the status of our order. Couldn't get anyone's attention. Finally got someone's attention. THEY HAD NOT STARTED OUR ORDER AFTER 45 minutes. Walked out with out order after 55 minutes. 7 plain bagels. one cream cheese, 4 smoothies. Will never go back. They were unable to tell their customers what their order numbers were, which added to the chaos. They were also understaffed. Clearly management does not have the systems in place to provide even a mediocre level of service. My advice: avoid at all costs. read more

I completely agree with M's thoughts on no tables. That review was 9 months ago and still no tables. I don't think it's about staff as there were 4 workers and a woman in the back, plus a sweeper. It's just not inviting. Keeping away tables in 2023 has nothing to do with "keeping us safe", and it's ridiculous. read more

I normally really enjoy these bagels, however I am extremely disappointed by the service provided. I ordered a Siracha sunrise bagel, and these are already extremely messy. The bagel maker proceeded to RUIN my bagel by not even cutting the bottom bagel. This led to the bagel falling completely apart as I tried to eat it. It was extremely messy, even more so than normal. I don't have to qualms with bruegers, however, I am leaving this review to let you know to cut the bagel all the way through. read more

Absolutely horrible. I am a long time fan, and am always very friendly to many of the staff. Even through the hard times, I visited Bruegger's almost daily as a first responder. But, unfortunately the service has just continued to deteriorate at the Bedford, MA location. Today was just beyond anything I can tolerate any longer. I went in, and there were a few people... certainly not jammed. I ordered a plain bagel not toasted with cream cheese. It literally took 23 minutes to receive my order. There were two people working the registers. Two people at the sandwich counter. One person filling "bulk" orders one person with juice orders and two people handling breakfast sandwich's and bagels. literally always an awful experience whenever i come into this store. i'm constantly waiting 20+ minutes for 1 bagel. today i've witnessed the staff have no clue what they were doing and instead of making the food, they were clumped in groups. the staff is not only lazy but rude whenever i come here. i would say that there are two solid employees and the rest are actually incapable for actually doing their jobs. this place used to be amazing and now it's so sad. serious do better. read more
