Been here twice, both times have been great! Conveniently located on the corner and both times I've went have been for lunch. Ordered online, which was very easy and took about 15 to 20 minutes though for food to be ready. Inside is clean and comfortable. Some tables for seating inside. To the left around the corner is where pick up orders are placed. Staff have been great about greeting customers right away and are friendly. Bathrooms are single stall, all the way in the back. My latest purchase was the Herby turkey sandwich. Also got a bag of chips on the side. Their chips only come in one flavor, which is sea salt, kettle style. The chips were fine, it seemed like a small bag though. The sandwich was a good portion. I felt like I got a lot for the price. The bagel was delicious. They sandwich had about 3 to 4 slices of turkey. The sun-dried tomato spread was a bit intense. There was a lot, and I had to wipe it off. The cream cheese to sun-dried tomato spread had way more sun-dried tomato than cream cheese. However, the sandwich overall was good and it definitely filled me up for lunch. read more

I'm a regular customer of Brueggars Bagels. Today is the 1st time in years that I had a not so nice encounter. I order the same smoked salmon on everything or Asiago with a blueberry muffin everytime....today I ordered and I failed to tell the cashier that I'd like to have my Asiago smoked salmon. Toasted and cut in half....again my mistake . I own it. When I received my order -I realized my mistake and asked the cashiers to cut my sandwich in half ....the newer employee/ cashier the young lady with purple hair and a tattoo sleeve on her left arm was very SNARLY...I only describe her that way because I did not catch her name. ...I apologized to her and the second cashier...when I went to the employee who actually made my sandwich...she was fine . I apologized again to her - but yet again the snarly cashier felt the need to tell me once again. "You should've told us when you made the order ".....she was very passive passive aggressive" ....i normally would NOT address something like this. But I am a stage 3 breast cancer patient . I don't appreciate the doughy buns that get passed off as authentic bagels. A goof bagel should have a boiled crust. These are not prepared in a traditional way. Good enough for a sandwich in a pinch. But not my first choice. read more

I visit them very often for few years now. I like their bagels a lot and appreciate that there is no junk and preservatives inside like many other places have in their bagels. These are a very good quality bagels and one of the best tasting in the area. Their coffee is also one of the best I had, I wish they could sell it in bags like Panera does. I stopped here on a lark to grab a bagel sandwich. I had never seen the menu so I tried to order from a picture, not realizing the picture was not a menu item. Instead of using the opportunity to welcome a new loyal customer, the cashier literally walked away muttering a rude comment under her breath. Reminded me of being in law school 35 years ago. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW BAGEL JARGON BEFORE ORDERING HERE I went in here today to get two bagels and a drink. I said to the girl." can I get one everything bagel plain with nothing on it and another everything bagel"... and then she interrupted me and started asking me about butter and cream cheese and I tried to get her to clarify which bagel she was talking about the first one x or the second one ??? She didn't understand what I was saying so she started to talk to me like I was stupid and I don't know what cream cheese and butter are. As I continued to question her about which bagel she was talking about because I wanted them made differently. She still did not understand me, and continued to reiterate herself with an even bigger attitude. So I again said " PLAIN with nothing on it. " And then I refused to order anything else. she then rang my ORDER UP incorrectly then when I say something about it after the fact she has an attitude. I have come in every week once and ordered the same bagel . The same way, and nobody else has had a problem with it .From my perspective, she's not listening to anything I'm saying. Because I said more than once I don't want anything on it.. then another manager comes over, and tried to explain to me what that word "plain" is confusing I tried to explain to her that it's not , it was the girl was not listening to me. Then another customer speaks up and says that I need to go to McDonald's and order from them and then some other guy said that I'm ruining everybody's morning. That's funny because she ruined my morning because she just couldn't ring a bagel up because she couldn't ring the bagel up correctly. Then the other customer start cussing at me and attacking me just because I wanted a bagel with no butter and no cream cheese. That's all I wanted. a bagel, just the way it comes. it's not hard but she made it hard. NONE of this is my fault. The customers are cussing at me and your employees are laughing in my face like it's funny. I asked her directly. The woman behind the counter is apparently the God of bagels and you better order correctly or you're never going to be allowed to have a bagel again. Will not be returning to bruegger's after the experience we've had here the past several times. Used to be one of my favorite bagel shops but now I will be going elsewhere; the quality of the food has gone way downhill it seems. They don't cut the sandwiches (?), the eggs were either over or undercooked and all tinted grayish black, and the hashbrowns were cold and uncooked. The service is also very subpar which is unfortunate. I would recommend Einstein or Tim hortons over this. read more

Bagels are great, I have been coming here every Sunday morning for months now. However, the customer service has not been good recently. Today I wanted 9 bagels and started ordering. Then I was wondering whether it would be cheaper to get the full dozen. The lady at the cashier was not very interested in my question and acted like this was an obnoxious ask. On top of that I didn't even get asked what I want for my extra bagel and they just handed me the bag and said have a good day. Bagel shops are a dime a dozen these days. While I do like this location, the brand in itself really doesn't do a whole lot for me. I really enjoy their menu and bagel selection, and their prices are right on point. After having been to a few places like this, Bruegger's isn't half bad. I just can't get into them, because there's to many options out there. What I do like about them, is they don't try to hard like Panera Bread, they don't feel corporate like Tim Hortons and they have a great bagel selection. Overall, the few times I have been here have been good. this place is in a busy shopping complex with decent parking right off Woodward. Dear owner I heard you bought this location somewhat recently. If you have any employees left from the "old" days please ask them about how it used to work where your customers were happy. We used to order with the person making our items. This worked and the customer got what they wanted. Now we order at the register and the selection travels 8 feet to the east onto what looks like a 1979 mainframe screen squashed into a 3 inch by 4 inch box of text where something gets missed, omitted, or messed up Every. Stopped in again recently and had the Everything Whole Wheat Bagel (when did they add these??) with Lite Herb & Garlic Spread...MMMMMM! And Salty Caramel Coffee! i really enjoy their fresh Bagels. But not when my daughter and I visited last weekend. Usually the staff is very customer aware. Even making recommendations for substitution . These are some new faces. I'm assuming this was an off day. the coffee had not been changed which was unusual as i love their coffee. My order was not even close to what I requested. I like to come here and work, it is quiet when I come and the tables are always clean, even when they are busy. It seems like they would give a discount at the end of the day for the bagels, but it seems like they don't. I don't usually get a bagel, but when I do they are fresh and tasty. $3.70 for a hot cocoa...little rich. Towards the end of the day they run out of lots of stuff, but don't tell you until after you pay. Out of guac, out of some types of bagels... By then you are screwed. It didn't happen to me, but as I am sitting here working I've seen it 3 different times. Editing my review: ran out of a few more items post order, told a kid his coffee coupon was only good for hot coffee, then proceeded to put ice in the cup per his request... it sounds like they have more rules to follow than they know what to do with. I have never had such bad customer service. The girl with the pink eyeshadow was absolutely horrible and so rude. She yelled at me because I accidentally asked her if I grabbed the correct bagel bag. She yelled at me and embarrassed me in front of all of customers and made me feel like an idiot. She kept talking about it to her coworkers in front of me. This will sound like an old man yelling at the sky, but I feel quite strong about our visit here today. I just want to thank the miserable employee at this location for trashing 10 years of repeat business at Brueggers bagels. After tonight's experience I will never return to any of their locations. Big loss I guess right? Well I still feel that my family and company help keep them in business. Whenever bagels are required it's been where we go. No mas. Tonight at 5:59 we rushed in the door just to grab our son a day old bagel, maybe a lil cream cheese, and a drink before lacrosse practice. Was it one minute before close? Yes. Is that rude? Yes. Traffic is a bear around 5pm. It's the way it is. I understand what working in a restaurant is like, when a person, or group comes in 3 minutes before close and asks for a menu. It's so frustrating! In the end you must still serve them, however rude it may seem, that's just life. How about when the customer is just looking to pay cash, heck leave cash without being able to get change back in exchange for a small SNACK that requires ZERO prep. The restaurant is still open, and "the register is closed" is the worst rookie excuse I have ever heard. How about, "the computers are down, but how about a day old bagel, I'll just leave the money for my manager in an envelope." It wasn't 6:15, and this is no Applebee's commercial either. I have this awesome, yet simple sandwich that I always order: Chicken breast on bread with cheddar cheese, lettuce, and ranch. The problems lie in the price: -It costs more to get a sandwich on bread than on a bagel, which seems bizarre. -It's $1 extra just to get cheese on a sandwich. If the sandwiches were dirt cheap, I'd be ok with it, but when I'm already spending over $6 for a sandwich, spending an extra dollar for a slice of cheese is ridiculous. -Even though it's $1 extra, they still only put one slice of cheese on each sandwich. It only ends up covering a little over half of the sandwich. If they either kept the price as is but fixed the above things OR didn't fix any of those but lowered the build-your-own base price by two or three dollars, I'd give 5 stars. As it is, it's worth it once in a while, but it's hard to justify all the extra costs more than that. Parking is also pretty brutal. There is a big parking lot in the back, but as far as I can tell there is no back entrance, so that entire lot is useless. I end up driving around the 20 spots out front that are shared with all the other businesses until somebody leaves. read more

Good bagels if they can actually get your order right. I ran in today while my husband sat in the car with our kids. Ordered 2 sandwiches and a 1/2 dozen. By the time I got in the car my kids were sick of sitting, ready to get home and eat...but of course a sandwich was missing. I went back in and told them and all the guy said multiple times was "the screen said one sandwich." No offer to make it right. I left without my food because I had to get my kids home to eat at that point. I will have to call now to get a refund on the sandwich. read more
