We've been going to this location for over a decade and it is continually declining-through no fault of its employees. The owner is cheap and doesn't upkeep equipment. The toasters break down several times a year and don't get fixed in a timely manner. Last year, the a/c was out for several days. The walls are dirty and you should take the silicon caulk away from the maintenance crew--they didn't know what they were doing. I was going to write a few weeks ago about the peeling tables outside that have NO UMBRELLAS-in the NC sun! There's actually one couple who brings their own umbrella! Now, however, this owner got rid of the outdoor seating!!!! Really? Do you not realize that there are families with little children and people with pets who sit outside your restaurant? We were one of the first customers at 7:10 on a Saturday morning and we all ordered some type of egg sandwich. I tried the Skinny Zesty Egg White with an egg white, turkey sausage, and sun dried tomato spread. I did not like this sandwich at all. I could not stand the sun dried tomato spread which tasted like a weird tomato sauce. I scraped it off along with the sausage and ate the egg & bagel. Fortunately, husband and 13 year old thoroughly enjoyed their choices. There was not a huge coffee selection (i.e.lattes) but there were a few flavors and the hazelnut coffee was good. Flavored creamers would be a nice addition. Thankfully we were the first to arrive as a long line formed after us. The line did seem to move quickly. The staff was cordial and we were served quickly. This location is one of the best! Workers are friendly and helpful. I ordered a skinny zesty egg white sandwich I have them make it special order - not skinny on a different bagel and different cheese and the bagel light in color. Blake making my sandwich listened and made it perfect. Placed order over the phone, only to get charged extra for several of the bagels when my wife picked them up. They never told me that there would be an extra charge for some of the bagels when I placed the order. This was the first day they started adding the extra charge. But instead of telling people when they placed their order, they wait until you pay for them to tell you they're charging more. When I called back to complain about it, they basically said sorry you're upset, but that's just the way it is. Even though it is a chain I love this place. This location on tryon and holly springs road has friendly staff and fast service. Plus they always have 80's music playing ;) I love coming here with my family, kids get fruit and chips and I get a LOX bagel. Husband gets a more fancy bagel sandwich.
