This review is to let others know that if you happen to deal with Amber be aware. At that point it is best to just get your bagel and leave. She is a horrible representation of the company. If you plan to order online through DoorDash, be aware that the menu does not allow you to select a cheese option only no cheese. I previously called about this and was told it was a system issue and that I could simply call to let them know which cheese I wanted. That solution worked fine. Today however my experience was very different. When I called Amber answered the phone without any greeting and was immediately dismissive. She stated she was the owner or manager and insisted that due to company policy she could not accommodate a simple cheese change despite DoorDash stating that cheese selection is available and despite the menu clearly being incomplete. What should have been a quick clarification turned into a nearly 20 minute call with no resolution. The issue was not the policy it was the tone and lack of basic customer service. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional over something as minor as a bagel topping. I am disappointed that such a small request was handled with so little courtesy. I am actually upset. I placed an online order on the 26th the website said it was open and the app said it was open my charge went through and when I got there it was closed. Mistakes happen so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried to order again today the 31st website said it's open and app said it was open my charge went through and I got there to pick up my bagel and IT WAS CLOSED. They usually have good food but this is really unacceptable. If you are closed make sure you turn off your online ordering system. The bagels remain solid. However, I've been a couple times recently and it remains closed for dine-in, so it is effectively carry out only. Not sure if they have any plans to go back to regular, but it is a little frustrating as I've been eating the bagel while parked in my car which seems illogical when they have several perfectly good booths on the inside. read more

By far the best bagels in town. I frequent NYC the home of the fresh bagel. The true Jewish bagel is boiled then baked. Bruegger's cooks their bagels the traditional way and that's what makes them perfect every time. This place is pretty good! My SO just moved to Columbus and this is our first breakfast spot that we've tried. We set our eyes on coming here after having Adriatico's for dinner last night, which is located right next door. I ordered the skinny bacon, avocado, tomato, egg white bagel sandwich which consisted of everything in the name on an everything bagel with sundried tomato spread. I ordered mine without tomato. The sandwich was great and I'll be honest it was kind of weird not having cream cheese on a bagel, but that's the point of making it skinny I guess! The sundried tomato spread was a little overpowering, but overall the ingredients meshed well together. The bagel was nice and fluffy with a good amount of everything seasoning on top. I also ordered a medium hazelnut iced coffee, which was fantastic. It was super flavorful and honestly the medium size was a lot bigger than I expected, so that's a plus! My SO ordered the Honey Sriracha Sunrise sandwich and thought it was really good. He finished it in like 2 minutes! The service was very quick and friendly. Although the dining room is still closed due to COVID, I was pleasantly surprised when their coffee station with the creamers and sweeteners was out for us to use instead of having to tell the barista how we wanted our coffee. I came on a Tuesday morning around 9:30 with friends. Easily found parallel parking nearby. When we walked in, there were a few people eating inside and a few students outside studying. There were two people in line but it went quickly. You order at one end of the counter and then pay at the other end. This seemed like a bit of an inefficient process as they have to warm up your bagel. There's really nowhere to wait for your food and picking up your meal means getting in the way of others who are also in line. I ordered one egg with cheese and sausage but the guy forgot my sausage. Eh. That's okay. I got it on a rosemary bagel. It was warm and soft. Not all that dense. I think the bagels are a selling point themselves. Still, the price is a bit high for the sandwiches. Didn't seem bang for your buck to me. My friend got what I did but actually got sausage in hers. She also got a cheesy hash bagel. Cheese and hash sprinkled on top of that thing. Interesting idea! She enjoyed it. My other friend got the farmhouse sandwich, which had egg, cheese, cream cheese, ham, and bacon. Also with the cheesy hash bagel. She liked it! She was hesitant about the cream cheese but thought it added to the flavors. My friend and I both got the pumpkin coffee. It was actually pretty spot on with the pumpkin! Ordered a bakers dozen of begals (three types) 2 cream cheese. I asked to have seperate bags for each begals because if the garlic and other toppings. Just got home, all begals thrown into 1 big bag, and shorted me 2 begals. All begal toppings fell off and stuck to the wet tubs of creams cheese. Is it that hard to count out 13 begals? Yeah, it's good. I stopped in to grab an iced coffee and a bagel/egg sandwich and it ticked all the boxes for my purposes. Nothing amazing, but I'd go again. I had the Leonardo De veggie egg sandwich on this unique cheesy/potato bagel. I was expecting more flavor, so I was slightly disappointed. It wasn't terribly filling for a lunch; I was hungry a couple of hours later, so next time I'd use that sandwich as a brunch-hold me over type thing. The iced coffee was decent, but nothing like what I'm used to from my favorite national chains. Just like today when I stopped in, I'd stop in if it was conveniently located and needed a coffee or a quick bite. I want to try one of their bagels with cream cheese next time. They had a wide variety of bagels available at my visit, and I decided to go with a blueberry and an everything, which the friendly staff person kindly offered to slice for me. I am a Bruegger's regular. My bible study meets here every Thursday morning. With that, it is important to note that they are welcoming to people from all backgrounds. As a regular, I order a small coffee and a cinnamon bagel every Thursday. Bruegger's is consistent and well-managed. I always say that they have the hottest coffee in Columbus. On top of that, their playlist is always poppin', featuring all the pop songs I grew up on. It is clear that their marketing strategy is geared towards college kids like myself. I don't have much to review on besides their coffee and cinnamon bagel because that is my go-to order... however, they definitely do these things right! I have also tried their pumpkin bagel and pumpkin coffee during their seasonal offerings. Very good. The ambiance isn't anything to write home about. It's not necessarily a quiet place but if you work well in more casual environments, it is very welcoming to those looking for a place to get stuff done. They also have free WiFi. I am giving Bruegger's 4 stars because the interior could use a touch up (booths with rips). However, that is no reason to stop me from making this a go-to for me! Absolutely delicious! Today, after looking for a quick breakfast delivery, my fiancé and I ordered the Farmhouse and WOW! It did not disappoint! One of my worries was that it would be either cold, damaged or less than savory after delivery but, NOPE! That was not the case at all. The bagel was fresh and warm. The eggs were perfectly stacked, the bacon was crisp, and the cream cheese...wow. A solid amount, but not too much to make it overbearing, made this sandwich absolutely delicious!! I've been going to Bruegger's once a week on a morning walk during quarantine and the service is wonderful. The bagel and cream I always get is fantastic and their iced coffee is delicious. They are doing a fantastic job social distancing. There's markers on the floor and no more than 10 people are allowed in. My friend and I eat on the patio which is extremely spaced out as well. we had a purse stolen from here last Friday. OSU police could see us go in with the purse on camera, and not come out with it. Within an hour there were already large charges at Macys and online, so it was no random act. Called the store and manager could have cared less, 'we have no cameras'. A campus shop with no cameras? Best idea of who was an average looking dad, brown hair with a kid with red hair. There were only 3 other people in the store and they were the only ones near our stuff and our own kids. I grew up in Rochester, NY and Brueggar's was always our go to bagel place. I love that there are Brueggar's locations in Columbus too! I come here primarily for the bagels, I typically don't order anything else off the menu. Their menu isn't cheap, but it's not too expensive. If you're an OSU student you can use your BuckID there. It's fairly big inside with plenty of seating. Their busy times are normally in the morning or during lunch when they get a lot of traffic from the hospital. Expect to wait in lines when you come during those times. They do not have their own parking lot, but there are meters lining the street out front. They are very busy and don't seem to have enough workers despite knowing they get busy between 11:00 - 1:00. They also rarely put out mobile orders on the shelf, which is normally fine; however, if they are busy, you need to interrupt a worker, which can take awhile. The employees range from very sweet to passive aggressive, whispering about you right in front of you. I wish I could give 2.5 stars. The food is overall decent, and they do having "bagels" in the name justice. If you go, I highly recommend going earlier rather than later and ordering ahead as the line gets very very long. read more

I can only review bagel bundles to go as I usually pick up before work. The staff are always friendly even when I request that my baker's dozen be sliced. I was especially impressed (and thankful) that they individually wrapped my everything bagels so they wouldn't lose their "everything". I've been eating Brueggers Bagels for at least 20 years (bring back the Mexican chicken salad bagel) and was happy to find one in my new home town. Bruegger's is my wet dream and has been since I went to the (only other) one (I have ever been to) in Durham, NC a couple years ago. The smoked salmon (without onions) on a rosemary olive oil bagel is to die for. I have literally been dreaming about it since that fateful day in 2009 that I accidentally stumbled across Bruegger's while attending a conference at Duke. And now I can have it whenever I want - gahhhh!! The iced coffee here is excellent. I can't speak to the regular coffee, but the ice coffee is soft and creamy and perfect. Service is fun - a bunch of goofy college kids who always make jokes and stuff. Brennan's sucks it hard in comparison, where the food is barely two stars, the coffee is weak, and the service is bitchy. Hit up Neil/10th for a much fresher, more delicious option. read more

I knowwww this is a chain restaurant but there's just no denying I love Brueggers!!! The bagels are chewy and dense and delicious. The everything bagel is my favorite. The pretzel bagel is also great, very salty and tastes just like a pretzel! The lox (salmon, capers, red onions) is served on a softwich and its very filling and the salmon is always fresh. The cream cheeses are what I love most about Brueggers. The garden veggie cream cheese beats Panera's by a landslide. It's hands down the best veggie cream cheese I've ever tasted, full of crunchy veggies like green onions, carrots and red peppers. The honey walnut is my favorite sweet option. The coffee is serve yourself and I love that. I like to mix the Hazelnut with the House Roast and them add my own cream and sugar. The iced coffee is my FAV! Very bold flavor and very refreshing. Trick of the trade II...When you buy in bulk, ask for freezer bags. They are given for free. Parking is not bad in the morning, but Lane Avenue shopping center gets busy and new traffic patterns because of the city insanely allowing parallel parking on the street as well as a new hotel and Whole Food in close proximity make later day purchases more of a pain. I've given this place a chance multiple times because of their convenient location, but to no avail. The breakfast sandwiches have little flavor and the coffee is just okay. I will say that the bagels and cream cheese and the salads are good, but overpriced. Another thing about this place is I always see different promotional offers like free coffee or $1 off a certain item on the menu, but the amount of work you have to do to get the offer is a little much--enter your name and email, wait for an email to be sent, open a link IN the email, then ask an employee for the store code and enter it in that link to redeem the coupon! Unfortunately, I've been fairly underwhelmed both times I've gone in there. The first time, I ran in for a quick breakfast sandwich- eggs, bacon, and cheese on an everything bagel. It's safe to say that this exact breakfast sandwich is one of my favorite things in the world. Unfortunately, the Breugger's version consisted of a square "egg patty" (hint: eggs should not come in pre-formed square patties), some cold-ish bacon, and a square of unmelted American cheese. That's a 100% on the meh scale, and if I"m not mistaken it cost significantly more than the same sandwich just a few doors down at Brenan's. The second time I went in for a bagel and some coffee. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if it was the afternoon but the bagel selection was incredibly picked over. I think I ended up with an onion bagel, which seemed thin and relatively nonimpressive. The coffee was...well it was coffee. It wasn't amazing. It also wasn't horrible. Overall, I would give this a purely "okay" rating. Would I go in there again? I LOVE Bruegger's! Every time I come here it's a great experience. The bagel options are so great (obviously). But actually, are always fresh tasting and have such a good variety to chose from. Their sandwich options are awesome, but you can change the toppings on them or add toppings as you want from their sandwich making bar. The veggies they use are also fresh which is something I always pay attention to when getting a sandwich. The cream cheese options are also always on point. Like do I want 9 different cream cheeses to pick from? Yes, yes I do. The coffee is good, they have multiple options. I got the hazelnut the other day around 12:00 and it tasted pretty fresh so I appreciated that. The staff has always been really friendly, too. I come here a few times a week because it's near my apartment and I like the bagels and the prices. Lately the customer service has gone down hill and this makes me sad. Today my bagel got toasted (after I asked for it not to be toasted) and my bagel smelled like all the burnt bagel leftovers of the toaster over that they used. Then it sat at the bottom as the person who prepared my bagel left the front of the store. The cashiers never listen anymore, I often repeat what I had ordered, and they talk to co-workers while I'm in the middle of the transaction, and my 'thank you' goes unheard.
