Our group ordered the mimosas that came with 2 refills so a total of 3 glasses. we got accused of trying to get over and get an additional glass because the staff was not communicating without one another or able to realize we only had one refill. We told them to go back and look at the camera if they thought we were lying. They made a big deal out of it and brought management to us (who had an attitude as well until we matched her attitude and she brought it down). It was to the point we just told them don't even worry about the glass we don't even want it anymore then the manager came back with an attitude stating "Its whatever im just going to fill it up and give you guys another one because we can't figure this out" as if we didn't pay for it. Our group spent over $250 on breakfast there as it was four of us. The mimosas were like $10. Would never return to this place after the way we were treated and embarrassed in front of everyone as they restaurant is not that big and everyone was looking at us. read more

Cozy little cafe in cathedral city close to Palm Springs where we were at for a conference, with some friends. Host did a great job at accommodating our big group and found us tables and sat us down. Score based on service, taste of food and attention to our group. 1. Water was given in not so clean glasses water had a huge after flavor and little to no ice made the water taste bad. 2. We had a group of 12 so delay was expected but kitchen team did not organize them self well they served half of the table first than the second half about 10 minutes later out last plate dropped and most of our food was cold but we were hungry and did not send anything back. 3. Over all attention from the server was poor could have picked up on body language a lot better but did not seem happy to be serving our table. 4. Brunchin Burger is what I ordered and my patty was cold and the best thing on my burger was the egg the rest lacked seasoning and flavor. 5. Chilaquiles were tasty but cold Over all food could have possibly been good if it was hot but we didn't get the chance to try that. read more

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful little place. Had the breakfast burrito and it was delightful - full of flavor and not too heavy. Wife had a ham and turkey croissant sandwich and daughter got the French toast. Both thought the food was delicious. Wait staff was attentive and checked in with us periodically. Very affordable prices - I think we spent less than $60 which IMO is more than reasonable. Great music playing (80's) and very positive vibes. As an fyi, restaurant is located within a nice little commercial complex and allows a great opportunity to take in a short walk (check out the fountain if you do). read more

It sat for over 10 minutes before someone figured out that it needed to be served. This place has a menu filled with brunch items that gets covered in hollandaise sauce. We were seated at the bar overlooking the hard working chefs and one offered me a taste of the chilaquiles red sauce to help me make up my mind. I was sold! The chilaquiles were fantastic. We've only been here twice but both times have been incredible. We always request to sit outside so we can get the fresh air and outside atmosphere. The inside seems very small so that's another reason as well. The food has been incredible both times as well. Tried the guava mocktail which was so delicious and refreshing. The 3 of us shared the poppyseed salad and I think it was the best salad we've had at any restaurant so far, we all loved it. Along with that my entree was the fried avocado sandwich and now I am obsessed with trying to make this back home since this place is an hour away from us. I don't eat meat so this was an amazing option for myself and I was more than pleased with the flavor and quality. What can I say but... meh. The food was mediocre at best. I had the fried avocado sandwich which sounded amazing. I'm a big fan of the fried avocado tacos at Tac*quila in Palm Springs so I had hopes for this sandi... Well, the 1 piece of avocado was the size of half of a teeny tiny avocado at TJ's so it took up about 1/3 of the real estate on that bun. It came with a couple of limp pickle spears and a decent salad. When I asked the waiter about dressings and if one is especially yummy, he looked super irritated at my question. Yes, they're busy on a Sunday but come on... at least fake it for the tip. All in all, my meal was not worth the $16 price tag. Normally, I'd shrug it off as I was there to meet friends I hadn't seen in years and the meal was secondary to me under the circumstances, but... We had an 11:30 reservation which was largely useless as we waited at least another half hour to be seated. Ok fine, we were talking and it really didn't bother us, but the kicker was... After finishing our not great meal, we continued to chat and catch up while finishing our drinks. The restaurant had quieted down significantly at this point. We started to notice glares coming from staff at the front and shortly thereafter we were approached and told that there is an hour and a half time limit on the table and we had to leave. It was 1:30, exactly an hour and a half after being seated, not since our reservation and... there were 6 empty tables around us! Furthermore, that policy was never made known when we made the reservation nor was it posted anywhere. Rude. Tacky. Sorry, not sorry. Frankly, the food was so lackluster that I probably wouldn't have gone back anyway, but I would have done so quietly without leaving a review that may possibly dissuade others from going. Now, after that unwelcoming display, I would NEVER go back and I'm happy to warn others off... If you like delicious food and a welcoming staff, don't come here. read more

We went here for brunch on a Sunday. There was a wait, which we expected. It was hot! Their patio was full of people and they had a swamp cooler. However, the waiting area had 2 chairs and was around the front, covered but in full sun. They did provide ice water and we were grateful. When we were called inside to sit I saw a few people that had arrived after us already seated, including a party of 6. They placed us by the front door that constantly opened and closed. This created the experience of sitting on the patio, except worse because they had now turned in the misters outside and it was cooler than the inside. We looked up pictures and chose many options based on reviews from Yelp. I felt the server was gracious and helpful. We ordered 4 main items because we like to share. They were all so delicious. We really enjoyed them. We had the donut waffles, steak and chiliQuiles, biscuit sandwiches and gravy, and the pork belly hash. The chilaquiles were spicy but the best I have had. The waffle was sweet and cooked perfectly. The pork belly hash wasn't my favorite but it wasn't bad. The winner to me was the biscuit sandwich and gravy with pepper bacon jam. That was kinda heaven. The price was reasonable and it seemed there were a lot of regulars. If I lived there I would be too. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because they opened a store in a hot area, they knew what to expect. It would be more comfortable to eat hot food in a cooler environment. It made it not as pleasant as the food expressed. I will go back again, if nothing else but for the pepper bacon jam! read more
