I came in a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE IT. The food is so creative and tasty. The hostess and the waitress' were extremely nice. The service was excellent. The building is so cool and a great addition to the downtown Cedarburg experience. . The rooftop view is so good. It's a great Birds Eye view of downtown cedarburg. So many improvements could be made. The ambiance is ok, but the chairs are some of the hardest and straightest out there. So uncomfortable! The food is mediocre and definitely doesn't warrant such an expensive price tag. There are much better places in Cedarburg to have a meal. read more

We visited the Cedarburg location for the first time. If I were running the place, here's what I would do to make it a better experience for customers. 1. Change out the hard wood seats. They are hard on the behind - definitely not a place we'd linger. 2. Better training for servers, at least our server. When asked about the hash of the day, she thought the seasonal vegetables in the hash were "Brussel sprout, something round and green, cucumbers I think, and other stuff." Cucumbers, really? She never checked back with us, never offered more coffee, and when it was time to pay, she did not offer a check, she just told us the total. Now I know most checks are accurate, but I always like to check before paying as there have been times the server mistakenly added something that we did not order. 3. The food is pricey for breakfast fare and the dishes we had were unimaginative. I don't mind paying $15-19 for a breakfast dish but it better be outstanding. It felt very formulaic, like a franchise. 4. Now, let's talk about the coffee. Coffee, for those who drink it, is often one of the great joys of breakfast. We wondered if were drinking watered down Folgers. A collaboration with one of the coffee roaster would go a long way. In summary, if you like strip malls, streamline minimalism, unimaginative capitalism, this place will suit you. It's definitely not what you'd expect in beautiful historic Cedarburg. read more

Overpriced, Served Cold, English muffin should be sold as FLATBREAD, ETC!!! Went on Mother's Day - first visit. Limited menu was disappointing after looking at the full menu online. Service was slow, but I'm OK attributing that to the Mother's Day crowd. We sat upstairs on the deck outside and enjoyed the nice weather. Two members of our group asked for avocado to be added to their dish - neither got it. We were told the check total without being able to see the bill - maybe that's on us - but we were charged for the avocado despite not receiving it. Coffee was poorly brewed - way too many grounds. I was so excited when they opened but have tried the food twice and was disappointed both times. The first time I tried the Harvest Hash with seasonal vegetables. The vegetables were obviously reheated, not fresh, and half the plate was sun-dried tomatoes, which overpowered any other flavors or textures. On our 2nd trip I tried the Chicken and Waffles which was fine. My husband tried the breakfast egg rolls and found them to be unnecessarily sweet. My daughter's Breakfast Burrito didn't have much flavor. On both occasions I was disappointed that "brunch" only meant breakfast and no lunch-y options were available. read more

Unfortunately it was one of the poorest restaurant experiences we have had. We waited about 30 minutes for a table for 4, then waited another 10 to even be greeted at our table once sat. We placed our order and waited 45 minutes before our server then came to the table (for the first time) to tell us the kitchen was backed up and our food would be out any minute, not even acknowledging our drinks were all empty. After another 15 minutes and no update or food, we decided we would leave and told the hostess so that we could pay for her our drinks, it took another 10 minutes for our server to get to us. I was sorry I didn't send my toast back! I ended up with a stomach ache. It tasted off... but later I figured out it probably was "buttered" with oil flavored butter. It was just very bad. So tired of breakfast places getting a pass in terms of where they source their food. These people don't even prepare their own breakfast potatoes it's like the free breakfast potatoes from a hotel they come prepared already. Aside from the attractive, hostesses and wait staff, and ambience of a wonderful location. This place was very bad. The potatoes literally leave that cheap oil film on the roof of your mouth when you're chewing. Such a low class move. Very disappointed. The food was a 10/10. I had the breakfast burrito with waffle fries and the taste was impeccable. The bacon-infused vodka for the bloody mary made it rich in flavor. Maybe we should've looked at the reviews prior to coming. The place looks great. Lots of seating and nice atmosphere. The biggest problem is the food. We ordered a flight of bacon and it' was 6 strips of thin cut bacon for $13 and didn't know which flavor was which. They were definitely not worth $13 as I expected thick cut bacon not your basic Oscar Meyer bacon. The Beignets were not powdered but good. I ordered the Milwaukee omelette and I'm pretty sure the eggs were boxed eggs, no sausage links and they must've used crumbled packaged bacon. Omelette was not seasoned. I got waffle fries as my side and I could taste the oil they were fried in. My husband got the Brunch Benedict and the poached egg was cooked all the way. The sauce overpowered everything. My brother in law got the burrito and again, seasoning was a big problem. It tasted bland. The last disappointing thing was that they have packets of ketchup and hot sauce! Come ooonnnn!!!!! The waitress was great and checked in. She was very polite therefore service wise, we were taken care of. For a brunch place (if that's your specialty), it needs a lot of work. Food service ambiance attitude. Called on a Sunday for a reservation for 3 people at 11:27am. I was told we don't make reservations, but we can put you on a waiting list for 11:50am. No place to wait but outside. We'll ok. I had a argument with the greeter hostess. That said we can seat you after 12:00. I said you said 11:50. I didn't win that one. I will message you when your table ready. No loud speaker. Almost missed text. But we went in. Wait outside was a 35minute wait. Inside the restaurant is noisy. The equivalent of a gymnasium. You can not hear yourself speak or think. They have outdoor seating which she didn't want to give me until I said oh look she cleaning the tables. Out side we went again. I ordered egg Benedict. Ham was suppose to be there. Well it was not. Thereweres pickles in there. The eggs were poached well. But the picked in eggs kinda made me sick. Who does that. Next daughter had eggs, Canadian bacon. Regular stugg. Eggs over done. Canadian bacon as thin as a sheet of paper and so small. The fiancee had all sides. Said nothing special. His sausage was spicy. I'd have to say very disappointing and very overpriced. First, the hostess tried to sit us at a dirty table until I pointed out it wasn't cleaned yet. Then she gave us the wrong menu and only one for 2 of us so I had to go up and ask her for two of the correct menus. Then I ordered a "wrap" that says you can also order it as a sandwich, which I did and I got the wrap anyway that was probably the smallest wrap i've ever seen in a restaurant. My daughter ordered gluten free pancakes, which the menu said you could do but never said anywhere on there that it's $2 extra, which normally would not be a big deal but just added to the overall disorganization of the experience of this place. So we had a wrap with hash browns, 2 pancakes with a side of burnt bacon and just water to drink which came out to $48.95 with a 20% tip!!! Are you kidding me????? Would the owner of this place like to pay that for that meal, I highly doubt it!?!? I will never be back, that's for sure. read more

I really wanted to like this place but it was soooo disappointing. Super slow service (hostess and waitress), the food we ordered (eggs benedict and biscuits and gravy) was NOT good and it was cold. Expensive for what we got!! We waited along time for it. The restaurant was dirty with dirty dishes/silverware/cups stacked on the bar, the floor was wet and they were attempting to mop up as customers were coming in the door. I was really afraid someone was going to slip and fall. When the waitress finally arrived to take our ordered we had to repeat it several times while she entered it into her hand held device. It was awkward. I feel this is another example of a locally owned restaurant trying to take short cuts by not having enough staff and not knowing how to run an eating establishment and try to do everything themselves and getting overwhelmed. read more

Finally got to try this place out and it was GREAT! Loved our server, Rosemarie - so friendly, fun and could not have been more attentive. Food choices were different and delish. Reasonable prices and a LOT of food. Compliments to the chef! The outdoor seating in town was fun as well. Can't wait to come back. Cramped 2-person tables and horribly overpriced food that you tasted ok. I ordered the avacado BLT and was disappointed to see that it only consisted of 2 pieces of bread, one egg, 1 one slice of bacon, 2 slices of tomato and a bunch of lettuce made into a sandwich for $16 along side a few fries. Incredibly inattentive waitstaff that took forever to place our order and had to be asked for coffee refills and creamer. And to top it off, they do not accept cash. Green Tomato Benedict the green tomato slices were silver dollar sized, flavors were, meh. The harvest hash, brussel sprouts were hard and charred. Got a thumb down. Philly steak omelet was so so. None of us would order any of it again. My coffee pour was luke warm and none of our food was hot. Restaurant decor and look is nice, but it needs to be cleaner. We waited over an hour for our food. All the drinks in plastic glasses and straws. The management needs to have brunch at Buttermint to see how it's done. Will not be back. Too bad, location is great. read more
