I stopped by Bruxie in downtown Brea just to get dessert after dinner, so I didn't try their food at this location. I was walking by and the strawberry waffle immediately caught my eye. Honestly, I originally wanted a smoothie, but the cashier informed me they didn't have any, which surprised me. I'm not sure if it's just a late-night thing or if they stop serving them, but that aside, the strawberry waffle was fantastic. It was fresh and just as good as the one I had at another place, super delicious,! though definitely a calorie bomb. If you're watching your intake or on a diet, maybe skip it, since it's pretty rich in sugar and carbs. But I was really satisfied with the quality. everything was fresh, and the staff were great. The vibe inside Bruxie is really nice. they have a great store layout, and even though when I arrived there was no line, most tables were filled, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Overall, a really nice experience.

My go to is the Original and a dessert. The waffles are always fresh and crispy. Everything I've had on the menu has been solid so far. The workers here are always friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even better. I especially like this downtown Brea location because they have outdoor seating, and it's such a nice spot to sit, eat, and people-watch since it's right on the corner. Also, I appreciate that they have a sink to wash your hands because eating the sandwich can definitely get messy.

Tried Bruxie for the first time and went with the krckin "Nashville " Hot and honestly, so good. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, and the sauce added the perfect amount of flavor without being too heavy. Love this location, the staff was super friendly, and the space feels modern and stylish. Such a great vibe overall. Definitely coming back for more. Bruxie 215 W Birch St, Brea, CA 92821

I ordered the Super Cluck Sandwich, Spiced Tots, and Strawberry Lemonade The Super Cluck Sandwich was AMAZING! I would Highly recommend it, all of the ingredients compliment each other very well. There was just the right amount of maple syrup where it's really just complimenting and not overtaking the flavor. The Waffle was warm, crunchy, and thin, the egg was cooked to perfection, the bacon was not too crunchy and not too soft, and the chicken was breaded nicely and tasted great. I would definitely recommend to order this. The spiced tots are pretty good, they are not overly seasoned, they came out hot and crunchy. Everything you'd expect from some good tots, I would recommend to order these. The Strawberry lemonade was good but overly sweet for me, it leaves a sticky after taste from the amount of sugar, this would be a refreshing drink with less sugar. Definitely make sure to grab some hand wipes (they are provided here at the restaurant) because the sandwich is pretty messy. That's not a deal breaker for me. The ambiance is nice and very casual with good music. The staff is friendly. I'll for sure be back.

Been here multiple times but the last time I went here was 10yrs ago. The menu change a lot they only have chicken waffles. I remember before they used to have pastrami waffle, breakfast waffles with egg and etc. the original chicken waffle is really good. The waffles fries is really good very crispy and you can tell it's freshly cooked. Service was okay. The person was taking our order is not friendly and just stand there. Parking is easy .

This Bruxie is located in downtown Brea which is a beautiful location with a free parking structure next to it! There's a lot of surrounding activities like movie theaters, desserts and coffee shops. I had the Original which was actually a really good fried chicken and waffle sando - what really surprised me was the sauce which was a syrup + little spicy kick to it. Wasn't too spicy for me, but something to think about if you can't handle spice. Service was good too - it's an order at the front type restaurant but the waitress stepped outside to ask if there's anything we needed. I just advise to clean the tables after people are done, there's some crumbs left over on the tables outside.

It had been a while since last time I was here. I used to love their Holy chicken which is now named super cluck. I was a bit disappointed because it's not as I remembered it. I remember it tasting better and I couldn't pin point what the difference was. The spiced tots were very spicy and had way too much of the Cajun spice as you can see what was left behind. The tots portion was very generous but too spicy for me. We noticed at the end that you can purchase dipping sauces. I wish they would've told us but maybe next time. The staff were nice as usual and were trying to keep the areas clean. They have restrooms onsite and the sink area outside that's very accessible. It is a fast casual ambiance where you order at the register, you get a number and they bring your order to you. The drinks are self service and unlimited refills. There is a parking structure that's super close to the location behind the movie theatre. I'm giving it a 4 star because I do think it's pricey for what you get and the portion does seem to have shrank a little for the holy chicken.

This is Brandon Bremmon. I've had many chocolate shakes in my time. But none like the one at Bruxie. Oh my gosh. This is how a shake. And abra took my order with awesome and polite manners and gave me free ranch. I mean. That's awesome. The chicken is good and cooked perfect medium and if anyone is a fan of tater tots. I mean why wouldn't ya be. Give the spiced tots a try. They are GOOD. And I like how you can watch a football game too

Food was amazing I got the original and was so impressed! First time visiting and if ever in the area would come back and definitely recommend. Also tried the tater tots which were good. Restaurant is clean and I like the sink setup. Service was quick and I also tried their strawberry lemonade which was very fresh and tasty :)

Overall, going to Bruxies is a pretty fun experience, as it's a mix of order yourself and service where the staff will bring out your orders. The waffles are super crisp and yummy, especially the strawberry creme Brulee waffle which I get every time. I love that there is plentiful parking in Brea downtown, and overall, the area just has a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere. Will be back for waffles soon!

For some reason the refinery spend their 40 minutes cooking the hell out of my burger, and they could even put the tooth pick in the middle of my burger, like is it that hard to stab my burger in the middle. I honestly don't know how The Refinery inside the Hilton in Brea manages to stay open. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. First off, the place looks nice when you walk in, but that's where the positives end. The service was painfully slow -- not the "busy restaurant" kind of slow, but the "did anyone remember we're here?" kind. We waited forever just to get water, and it somehow took even longer for the food. Then the food actually showed up... and wow. Bland, overpriced, and somehow still cold. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. For a restaurant attached to a Hilton, I expected at least basic quality, but this felt like cafeteria food with steakhouse prices. To make things worse, the staff acted like helping customers was a huge inconvenience. No check-ins, no refills, no effort. Just vibes of "please eat and leave." Between the slow service, disappointing food, and ridiculous prices, this place feels like a tourist trap hiding in a hotel lobby. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else in Brea. Even a gas station snack run would be a better experience.

A gentlemen on the phone answer and tells me as long as it isn't a big order and we're here before 10:00 they will take the order. Cool. We get there at 9:49 and go up to the window and he tells us they've closed the kitchen and aren't taking orders. So I bring up the phone conversation and let him know we were the ones who called. Keep in mind it's the same guy who we spoke to. He's saying that he didn't say that on the phone and that he won't take our order. So I repeat our conversation word for word as he's now trying to say that isn't what he said. He then says, "I spoke to the cook and well take your order." I go up to the window to pay to pay with Apple Pay and the dude aggressively grabs my phone and is obviously in some sort of mood about the situation. Tells us to go park and he will bring us the food. He brings us the food and is being snarky and laughing and just acting like a dick. I come here decently often so it's pretty lame to see. Do better...If you don't want to serve someone. We visited on Father's Day around 12:20 PM. Since part of our group was still a few minutes away, we waited outside rather than going in because we assumed the entire party needed to be present before being seated. While we were waiting, a large group of around 20 people arrived and sat in the outdoor patio area, which was completely fine and didn't seem to affect the indoor seating. Once the rest of our party was close, I went inside to check in with the host. At the same time, another group of about 10 people entered and seated themselves. Seeing this, I assumed seating was being handled informally and found an empty table for my family. The host immediately told me we could not sit there and asked us to get up because the tables were being held for future reservations or call-in parties. Meanwhile, other groups appeared to be seating themselves without being stopped. In that moment, it honestly felt like our party was the easiest one to turn away. I was then told we wouldn't be able to eat and that the wait would be over an hour. I asked if there was some type of waitlist or system being used, and was told there wasn't. What bothered me most wasn't the wait itself. It was Father's Day, and I completely understand that restaurants get unexpectedly busy. What was frustrating was the lack of communication. Even if the host had a plan for how she wanted to handle the sudden rush of people, I wish that had been communicated. A simple explanation and a little empathy would have gone a long way. Something as simple as, "I'm so sorry, we just had a huge wave of guests come in and unfortunately we're at capacity right now," would have helped us understand what was happening. Instead, it felt like we were simply being told no without any real explanation or options. We've always enjoyed coming here, and that's why this experience stood out. Great food is what brings people in the first time, but great customer service is often what keeps them coming back. I wanted to share this feedback because I genuinely think clearer communication during busy periods would create a much better experience for guests. We'll still be back because we've had many positive experiences here before. I just hope this feedback can be taken as an opportunity for improvement.
