This place is the best! I first came here when I was in high school about 15 years ago, and I recently started coming back. The vibe is still amazing, and the food has always been fresh and delicious--it always hits the spot. Ruben provides outstanding service, hands down. Berlin was also fantastic. They are both welcoming, respectful, and make every visit a great experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and excellent customer service! To top it off my children really enjoy eating here as well.

This was our first time at Bruxie after my nephew brought us takeout and got us craving their chicken. When we got here, there were so many delicious options on the menu that I couldn't decide what to order! I originally ordered the Original, but then I saw another guest enjoying the Chicken & Waffles and immediately changed my mind. I thought changing my order would be a hassle, but Melissa and Tory were so kind, patient, and accommodating. They happily updated my order without making me feel like I was inconveniencing them, and their friendly service made the experience even better. The food was absolutely delicious, and the outstanding customer service really stood out. Thank you, Melissa and Tory, for your kindness and patience. We'll definitely be back. Easy 5 stars!

Tucked away in beautiful olde town Orange on the corner of Chapman University lies this gem of an eatery. I believe this was the original Bruxie's, opened in 2010, now a chain of several restaurants. Did you know that in 2011 Bruxie's was the second most popular restaurant on Yelp? Cool beans! The menu has changed quite a bit since my prior visits several years ago. Fried chicken and waffle sandwiches are still available but without the numerous variations once present. Instead, more standard burgers and chicken sandwich fare seems to have taken over. My suggestion, stick to the original! My wife and I each upgraded to the Super Cluck. The waffle sandwich was as delicious as I remember, and more than enough for a meal. I think of this restaurant as a food truck on a foundation. We order outdoors and eat outdoors. But that's fine, because - Southern California. A great little corner to people watch. Fun place! Recommended, especially for those who wish to take a break from the nearby manic Mouse mayhem.

On our way to a concert inside the Honda Center and decided to stop by for a quick bite and this place definitely was worth it!! The crispyness of the chicken and tots was Amazing !!! The service was fast which was good for us as we're already running a bit late. They offer outside seating with a lot of shade. Looking forward to being back

It's outdoor seating it was a nice the music wasn't too loud which I appreciated and the lady at the front was super nice she was constantly checking in on us and making sure we got anything we needed and she even gave us a free strawberry lemonade! The food was also great the brioche bun was really airy and yummy and the loaded fries thing was great too just a tad dry though. Overall great experience and would come back. My pictures kinda suck tho but i was really hungry so i couldnt wait.

We tried Bruxie for breakfast & overall it was a mixed experience for us. The original chicken & waffle sandwich looked really good & had great flavor but for the price it just didn't feel very filling or worth it. I enjoyed it taste wise but I expected more portion wise. My husband also wasn't a fan of the sandwich because the waffle got pretty soggy from the coleslaw & sauce which made it a bit hard to enjoy. On the positive side my toddler really enjoyed the kids waffles with strawberries & whipped cream. I tried a bite as well & they were actually really good. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience but for the price point it's probably not something we'd order again unless we were specifically craving it.

I've had Bruxie's in the past but this most recent time I feel like the portion size has just gotten significantly smaller. Food was good, don't get me wrong, but it was just... smaller. Anyways, decent amount of seating. Parking is mostly street parking. Service was good.

Love this Bruxie. Parking isn't the best, there's lots of seating and the food is always made fresh. Service is always good staff is friendly. Very busy location, great spot.

5/5 Stars for food and service! First time visiting and it was everything I hoped for and more. The waffle is an absolute must-try--light, fluffy, and not too sweet. The chicken flavor and spice profile were amazing, with the only slight downside being that the batter fell away from the meat a bit. The dining area tables were a little sticky, but the stellar service totally overshadowed that. Love that they have a clean restroom as well--for a street spot like this, I was pleasantly surprised! The staff is wonderfully welcoming, and the fact that they offered my puppy a pup cup won us over completely. A really pleasant first experience!

Food was great and the customer service was excellent! The prices were great too, especially in this economy lol. This is the type of restaurant that actually cares about the quality of their food and their customers! Definitely worth trying!

I'm from NorCal, but I've been here before many many years ago, but this review will be for last week. I was in town for a wedding and was hungry for some lunch stuck in the hotel. I was scrolling DoorDash and saw Bruxie and all the good memories of fried chicken came back to me. I didn't want anything too heavy, cause again, wedding so I elected for the chicken tenders and fries. OMG the hot spicy tenders was soooo crispy and juicy with a hint of spice that stays on your lips. I dunked it in their house made ranch with fries on the side. Perfection. The chicken was legit the juiciest tenders I probably ever had. I gotta try some of the other items next time.

Had a great experience at Bruxie in Orange! The original waffle sandwich was delicious--the crispy chicken paired perfectly with the waffle, and everything was packed with flavor. Also ordered the super click which I enjoyed more because of the sunny side egg, bacon, and melted cheddar cheese. The chicken salad was also fresh and loaded with chicken, and the seasoned tots were crispy and tasty. We also tried the waffle fries and several of their dipping sauces, which were all really good. The portions were generous, and there was a great variety of food to choose from. Definitely a fun spot if you're craving chicken and waffles or some good comfort food! Thanks for the delicious refillable strawberry lemonade. . I'll definitely be coming back

I had came for the Salmon Lox , I guess they don't have it anymore I was a little bummed, I decided to go with the chicken and waffles instead and my friend went with the strawberry and Nutella. I would give it 3.5/5. It was a bit on the sweeter side for me. The chicken and waffles 3/5- it was okay but not worth what it cost. The servings are a good shareable size. Service was quick and friendly staff. Plenty of seating areas.

Going out on a limb and guessing no gluten free anything?

Hi Jody- we have some great grilled chicken and a grilled chicken salad you’d love. The team can walk you through the options.

    Bruxie still do Wednesday Specials?

Hi. We are trying our best to keep our daily prices as low as possible in the middle of the unprecedented price increases we are seeing from our vendors. In doing so, we are just offering the best prices we can all of the time. Thanks for asking.

What type of oil do you fried the chicken?

    Canola oil.

Is any of the fried chicken available without Rosemary?

Hi. Thanks for your question. Sure, you can ask for it to be cooked without the seasoned flour and just regular flour. Due to our marinating process, the chick will still be flavorful but without rosemary.

Hi do you guys deliver to arizona?

Yes if you pay a good sum for the delivery freshness not guaranteed tho hehe

Glad to see them back but is there any reason why they closed for 6 months?

In March of 2020, all Bruxie locations in SoCal closed due to CV-19. In early October 2020, two Bruxie locations reopened: Old Town Orange on Glassell, and Brea on Birch St. As of this report on 11/24/2020, only these two locations have reopened.

Which Bruxie can I still get the pastrami waffle sandwich?

The Orange location is back open and has the Hot Pastrami and Swiss on the menu. Such a great sandwich.

Hi is the dining area open, or just take out? Thanks.

As of 6/26 they are closed. All locations are temporarily closed per their website.

    Is this location still close?

Do they still have the specials on Wednesdays?

Yes they do!! I follow Bruxie on Facebook, and they always post the specials. The most recent one is $5 4-piece tenders.

Do they serve the full menu during breakfast hours?

Yes, I believe they serve breakfast all day long.

Do they still serve the buffalo blue? I don't see it on their online menu.

No they don't because they took off the cheese from menu

    Is this place vegan friendly?

Not really, the batter contains milk and eggs (assuming they use their "bruxmix" brand).

Overall, everything lacked flavor, although I will say the red salsa served with the chips was delicious. My friend ordered the avocado toast, but it was basically just a slice of bread with sliced avocado--no seasoning, condiments, or anything to make it stand out. The small garden salad was equally underwhelming, consisting of only romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes with no dressing or even a drizzle of olive oil. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, but they were more like open-faced boiled eggs since the yolks were completely hard instead of runny. The café de olla had a nice flavor, but it was much sweeter than expected. I think it would be better if they served it unsweetened (or lightly sweetened) and let customers adjust the sugar to their own taste. I really wanted to enjoy this place because the ambiance is so charming, but the food just didn't live up to the experience.

Benny with a Orange Mimosa. The french toast was of the highest quality. They were sweet, fluffy, and flavorful. Nothing was too overwhelming. I chose the Bella Bella Benny, because I wanted something savory. The vinaigrette was a little too heavy handed for my liking. It overtook a lot of the other flavors that the Benedict had. Unfortunately, it relegated the other ingredients in the dish. The Mimosa was standard. It didn't taste like it was freshly squeezed but something I could've made at home. Store bought Orange Juice being a little heavy handed in the alcohol. It's not terrible, but don't expect it to WOW you. Overall, it was a quaint place, that has plenty of options. The hours never really worked with our schedule either being from 8:30 am to 2 pm. We started off with the Ube Sweet Cream Cold Brew ($7) and Pandan Cold Brew ($7). My bf absolutely loved the ube cold brew and said it was probably the best he's ever had. He loved it so much that he got another one to-go after we finished our meal so that was a rare occurrence lol. The ube flavor was strong even after everything was mixed together. Smooth, creamy and tasty. My pandan cold brew was also pretty good. Usually I feel like pandan is difficult to get a real robust flavor and you end up tasting more coffee than pandan. I could actually taste the vanilla/nutty notes and coconut flavor. Also very yummy after mixing it all together. Cold brew flavor did end up coming out stronger tho but I somewhat expect that. We ordered the Adobo Rice Omelet ($14.95 - Chicken-adobo garlic rice wrapped in a three egg omelet, topped with adobo gravy, fried garlic & scallions) - This was really tasty and kind of heavy for me. Sooo much rice under the omelette bed lol. I was beyond stuffed and couldn't take another bite at the end and ended up packing like 2 bites in a small box. My bf ordered the Jeepney Breakfast Burrito ($14 - Crispy golden potatoes, melted cheese, chipotle aoli, scrambled eggs. Your choice of meat, served with a side of pork chicharron and Sinigang Salsa verde) - This was soo delicious. The chicharron side was a great crunch and sinigang salsa verde with the burrito made it even better. It was over the top for our bellies already with the heavy breakfast, but I still insisted that we try a regular breakfast item like french toast.
