Sweetest employee ever saw I was dying in the heat and grabbed me a strawberry lemonade that hit the spot! Also, my fellow mac & cheese connoisseur bestie recommended I try this and I have to say...not bad. They told me they could give me avo on the side since I didn't want bacon in my "Any Mac & Cheese" and while I've never tried that combo before this day...don't knock it till you try it! 10/10 would recommend this bruxies location out of all of them. The service was amazing and we got helped within 5 mins. Did not take pictures of my food :( The staff were so nice and attentive. It was a warm day when I went, so it was nice to sit near the trees. There's a good amount of seating. It's a fun area to go have a bite and chill with friends&family. The creme brûlée waffle isn't on the online menu but you can still order it in person. If I weren't trying to be healthy I would eat 3 of them. 10/10 I would recommend and go back! read more

Went there to have green eggs, and ham hadn't been there in a while no longer on the menu tried one of their hamburgers over the top. One of the best hamburgers I ever had in a long time almost as good as the smoked burger from Blakes just different grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and their sauce and cheddar cheese phenomenal inhaled it and they sent me and my brother the shakes first and I took pictures of the milkshakes, which were phenomenal as well from custard frozen custard just ridiculously rich tasty chocolate, very European very ice cream shop milkshake #PhenomenalMeal read more

Come here for some great chicken sandwiches! I originally wanted to try the honey hot sandwich, but the guy I was ordering from let me know it was the hottest sandwich on the menu, so I opted for the nashville hot sandwich since he gave it a 5/10 for spice level. I'm very grateful to that guy because while the sandwich had a kick, it wasn't that bad and I throughly enjoyed the meal. If it was any spicier it might've hampered the experience a bit. Overall very cool place! Their desserts look really good too, so I'm a little sad I didn't try any of those out. read more

Found this gem on Yelp while searching for a great place to eat during our visit to Anaheim. Shay and Alexcea were fantastic--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Eric had jokes (all in good fun) about my Dodgers, which made the experience even more enjoyable. GO DODGERS!!!! The service was top-notch, and the food? Absolutely incredible--some of the best I've had in a long time. It reminded me of Chicken and Waffles, but with a creative twist. Bruxie really delivered a memorable experience for my family and I. The patio seating had a trendy, upbeat vibe and everything was spotless. When I think of Anaheim, this place comes to mind--it truly sets the bar. Eric was extremely nice even though we changed our order twice because we couldn't eat bacon. This place is the bomb! My go-to order is the 2 tenders & fries combo and it never disappoints. I love this location in particular because the outdoor seating is nice and open- a great spot for a little outdoor lunch date. It's location is also awesome because you're just a short walk away from the Orange circle where there's plenty to do, so you can always make a day of it :) I also wanted to specifically acknowledge Ruben- since he took our order, to when we left, he was helpful and attentive to our own, as well as many other visitors needs. Came to the Orange location, we sat at the one table that completely leaned but it was the only one available. Anyways, we got two "holy chicken" Maple glazed chicken, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar, sriracha mayo, sunny-side up egg. It was soooo good, next time I'm going to ask for extra bacon because there was only one piece. We also got the loaded waffle fries but they didn't come until we were completely done with our meal which kinda sucked because we were full and they weren't that great, we'll definitely be back for the holy chicken it was soo good I also had the hot honey sauce they have on the side and drizzled as I pleased. Also got a iced caramel cold brew and they ran out of ice :( the coffee was strong I'm more of a sweeter fan but overall we'll be back read more

Came here for a quick breakfast, and they have such good standards for food. The workers are ready to take your order and they even recommend their new breakfast burrito. I really like the placement of this location. It's in old Orange and you can walk around. Parking is hit or miss. If you go early enough, parking is a breeze, but I can see how it'll be difficult in the afternoon and on. The food is solid. You can expect consistent food, and the chicken is delish. read more

I love ordering their breakfast burrito with chicken. It's a medium to smaller sized burrito that comes with a tasty chipotle like sauce on the side. This location is outdoors so seating can sometimes be in the sun but there is partial shade. We sat on a two seater table which was loose screwed because when I sat down I almost fell over since the table tipped and leaned to one side. Just be careful with your food and sitting. A nice outdoor place to hangout and eat before walking around town. read more

I got the super cluck sandwich (8.5), loaded waffle fries (8.0), and a cookie dough mix-in (5.0, the vanilla ice-cream is pretty flavorless). Was plenty for two people. Overall great service from Alexcea and Azela. Only downside is that parking can be hard at peak hours and not too much seating. Purely outdoor seating with shade. read more

I got the fried chicken waffle sandwich, loaded waffle fries, and a cookies and cream shake. The sandwich was on the sweeter side for my taste, but that's to be expected from a waffle sandwich. Honestly would pass on the shake too, but the fries were a hit. Service was great, super friendly and pretty fast. I have been eyeing this place for years now, we have finally stopped in tonight for dinner and I am so upset that we didn't come sooner. This place is delicious and super casual! Service is good, people were sweet but the orders do take some time to come out although they were swamped!! We had the strawberry lemonade and it's free refills when you dine in, super cute outdoor seating too that is perfect for a little night time dinner date. I highly recommend mixing in some water (free fills towards the back too) it is EXTREMELY sweet! I was smacked in the face with the amount of sugar but it did taste good just needed to be watered down slightly to my liking. I ordered the grilled chicken blt with ranch waffle sandwich sans the bacon. It was so evenly balanced with veggies and protein. I absolutely loved it and plan to order again! My husband got the honey hot fried chicken bun sandwich, I seriously can't believe how we have been missing out on this. It was SO GOOD. I'm full right now and wishing I could just have another bite of that sandwich. I'm counting the days until we come back so I can get my own. He ordered it with the spicy tots which were also perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I will not be returning to this overpriced establishment with rickety tables & bland chicken. If the chicken is battered & fried, why is it not even warm in the middle? For an establishment that includes chicken on basically every menu item, i'm immensely disappointed it was worse than what i can make in my own air fryer for 1/3 the price. Everything is waffles! Everything is cool when you're going to eat... Parking is limited on site but there is plenty of street parking around (well maybe when school isn't in session). It's on the corner across from Chapman University. You can call, order online or in person. Had to order online on Yelp as the kids knocked out (didn't want to interrupt their Piano playlist. Parked nearby while we waited for our order and drove up as soon as it was ready (not as accurate as one would like). They have an area for online pick up orders and servers on hand. Plenty of seating outdoors with shade from the SoCal Sunshine. Tots and nuggets were good (I had to take off the skin for the kids, dad duties). You can order the tots without seasoning (I should've). Wish I could've tried the sandwich right when it was freshly out, but kids go first. The syrup sauce along with the cold slaw and bacon (extra $) made it very flavorful. Maybe next time we'll be able to feast on the bird there. read more

This location is right across from Chapman University and it is outdoors. You order your food at the counter, find a table, and they will call out your name when your food is ready and bring the food directly to you. Wait time wasn't bad, but it wasn't busy at all when I went (Around 9:30am on a Sunday). Waffles were the highlight; Light and airy, with a slight crisp on the outside, but soft on the inside! The burrito was good; they actually put a decent amount of chicken. If you happen to be in the area and are craving chicken & waffles, I think it's worth a try for a quick bite. read more

This is as good as I remember from last year. We went here while on vacation and I had to get my bruxie fix. They don't have one in NorCal (asnofnthis review) so I try to go here when I'm in socal. We went on a rainy/cloudy day, so not much of a crowd, and got 2 tables luckily. We ordered the jumbo tenders, Mac and cheese, fries and every dipping sauce to try them all. Everything was good, but it was a lot of food. I went to a different location last year, but they taste the same. The service was excellent as well and they did get almost all our items (we had a big order) and just had to ask for our soda, which they were kind about. The place itself has decent seating, but had an open air/similar to a patio seating so it was a bit cold as we could feel the wind and rain. I'll go to bruxie again when I get the chance. read more

I ordered through Uber Eats and saw a buy-one-get-one-free burrito deal, so I decided to try Bruxie for the first time. I went with the breakfast burrito with bacon and a side of green salsa. Let me tell you -- the burrito was so delicious! The bacon was perfectly crunchy, the eggs and cheese were melted together just right, and every bite was super satisfying. My only complaint was the salsa. I went with the green salsa, but it tasted a little off -- kind of stale, maybe even like it had gone bad. Next time I'll definitely try the chipotle salsa instead. Overall, though, the breakfast burrito itself was amazing, and I'll definitely be ordering again. Bruxie just gained a new fan! read more

WOW this place was good. I was surprised by the menu bc I've never had chicken & waffles in sandwich form. When our order arrived, it looked so good that I forgot to take a pic before digging in. Love and hate! Taste great but not a healthy choice! My absolute guilty pleasure. This spicy chicken is the best you ever had. But I recommend to either take out or go to other locations since this location doesn't have decent place for you sit and enjoy your sandwich. Even if you love the highest degree of hotness I would say don't get the spiciest cause you cant taste anything else. read more

Hi. Thanks for your question. Sure, you can ask for it to be cooked without the seasoned flour and just regular flour. Due to our marinating process, the chick will still be flavorful but without rosemary.

In March of 2020, all Bruxie locations in SoCal closed due to CV-19. In early October 2020, two Bruxie locations reopened: Old Town Orange on Glassell, and Brea on Birch St. As of this report on 11/24/2020, only these two locations have reopened.

Zidane saved my life. Zidane saved my life too. These employees aren't just workers--they're heroes, and they absolutely deserve a raise. It all started when I walked into the store feeling off--lightheaded, dizzy, like something was wrong but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I thought maybe I just needed water or a quick snack, but before I could even make it to the aisle, my vision blurred and I stumbled forward. Out of nowhere, Zidane appeared, steadying me just before I collapsed. Calm and collected, he gently lowered me to the floor, speaking reassuring words as he checked my pulse. At the same time, Zidane sprinted across the store, radioing for help and grabbing water, a cold compress, and even moving customers out of the way to give me space and privacy. Together, they moved like a trained emergency response team, completely in sync. Zidane stayed by my side, talking to me to keep me conscious, asking all the right questions with this incredible calm energy that made me feel safe, while Zidane monitored my condition and relayed info to paramedics on the way. They didn't just follow protocol--they went above and beyond with urgency, empathy, and pure human compassion. I truly believe if they hadn't acted so quickly, things could've gone much worse. They are the kind of employees who turn a crisis into a moment of hope and care. They didn't clock out when it got hard--they leaned in. Zidane and Zidane didn't just save my day. They saved me. Recommended by friends (more so than family). Always great things to say about Bruxie which manages to introduce some novelty into the seemingly static tradition of sandwich making. Not only is the actual "sandwich" different, but so are the flavors. Setting: situated on the very corner of two relatively busy streets, Bruxie gets good publicity and exposure. Literally right across the street from Chapman University, the restaurant was pretty busy. I hesitate when I say restaurant because it's more of a fancy drive through. There is seating but not enough to accommodate everyone there. A friendly employee sauntered around asking if people in line had any questions. Handwritten signs conveyed a "homey" feel. Servers: always served with a smile. They were quick to bring out the food as well as clean off your table. Turnover is the key to profit. Food: We ordered strawberry creme brûlée, smoked salmon, and fried chicken. I don't like sweets but the creme brûlée was spot on. Tasty with just the right amount of crunch from the waffle (right out of the toaster)! The salmon and fried chicken tasted good but was probably a step down from the creme brûlée. The salmon was perfectly salty and the fried chicken wasn't too fried. The only drawback to the food is that the portions are a little small for the price paid. Still, a great dining experience. So I have to make somewhat of an embarrassing confession...I attend school cady-corner from this waffle joint and I have boycotted trying this place ever since it opened a couple years ago. Over the past few years, I have seen it transform into a million different restaurants that all FAILED...but not BRUXIE!!! Bruxie proved that this little corner location is not a jinx and can be SUPER profitable. I boycotted this place mainly because I am "chang" (cheap) and I had the crazy idea that I didn't want to pay $7-10 for A WAFFLE, WTF (WHAT THE WAFFLE)!!! But boy, was i wrong about that one! Bruxie is worth every wakin waffln penny! From the friendly customer service, quick turnover of orders to ready-to-eat meals, to the deliciousness of the waffle. WTF!!!! Granted I have only tried the Turkey Club and the Criss Cross Fries Nachos...I haven't been dissapointed yet. Some of my friends who usually get the fried chicken tried my turkey club and almost died! They said they are definitely ordering the turkey club the next time. I have mixed feelings about the meal I had at Bruxie. I liked the service and the staff were very friendly and fast at expediting food orders. The thing I wasn't so sure about was the savory dish I ordered, which was the Smoked Salmon & Dill Cream Cheese Waffle Sandwich. The cucumbers didn't really fit into the sandwich and it really didn't add much to it. I think if the chives were replaced with red onions, it would bring more flavoring to the sandwich itself because it was kind of bland. Bruxie should stick with the classic flavor pairings of smoked salmon, cream cheese, and red onions. Potentially adding some arugula and maybe some bell peppers would give the sandwich more of a flavor profile. With this meal, I had their fresh strawberry lemonade which was okay, it didn't impress me that much. It was on the sour side with some pulp present, so you could tell it was fresh, but it didn't really win me over. I also ordered a sweet dish which was the Seasonal Creme Brulee with fruit. Now this was an awesome waffle sandwich and I think the maple syrup with the powdered sugar really made the dish cohesive and well put together. Came here with a friend on a Sunday morning. I heard about this place from a friend and had to try it when I heard they offer breakfast Waffle sandwiches. The place itself is more like a hole-in-the-wall food stand than a restaurant. When we got there, we found an extremely long line most likely due to how inefficient their order and pick up windows were. So, onto what we ordered. My friend ordered the Prosciutto and Gruyere from the savory section of the menu and the S'mores from the sweet section. The Prosciutto sandwich was mildly flavorful with it's mustard and chives. I'm not the biggest fan of prosciutto, but my friend is and she seemed to really enjoy it. The S'mores sandwich was extremely flavorful with it's chocolate filling spilling out of the sides of the sandwich. The only complaint I have for the S'mores is that the waffle gets soggy pretty fast. I ordered the Smoked Salmon and Dill Cream Cheese since I love bagels and locks. Putting anything inside of a Waffle, is cheating! It makes everything better! Why have bread (boring!) when you can have your sandwich surrounded by a Waffle?! Everything I had was very good. The best being the Strawberry Crème Brulee, this thing was delicious! It's a special item, not sure if their specials are daily, weekly or monthly. Can't go wrong when you mix fruit and waffles. I also had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Waffle. The Chicken was fried perfectly and the syrup is great with it. It costs extra, but it's recommended. I just wish I would have seen the hot sauce before I finished it, it would have been a great addition. I also tried the Braised Rib Waffle. It was very good and loaded with meat. It is also a special item. It comes with waffle fries inside and a bit of Bleu Cheese. I also had the Strawberry soda. It was good, but did not blow me away. Again, another special item. There was a bit a of a line and seating is very limited. The service was extremely friendly. Not sure about the 1 dollar sign on Yelp. I'd say it needs 2. 27 bucks for lunch is kind of high. 2 sandwiches, 1 order of fries and 2 drinks. I guess that rib meat ain't cheap. read more

Met up with my friend to catch up on all things considered. Bruxie is a fast food take out with open air seating located on Glassell, north of the circle in the City of Orange. It was Sunday. Bruxie was packed with a minor waiting line of 6 or more a clear show that this is a very popular niche fast food restaurant, specializing in all fried chicken related. However, the line moved fairly quickly. I had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken salad, quite good and presented unmixed in a large bowl with Romaine, Apple wood Smoked Bacon, Avocado, Egg, Tomato, Cheddar Cheese, Chives & Ranch Dressing. You get your ticket and a waitress delivers your meal to your table in the open air or umbrella seating area. Condiment table is available for plastic utensils, various chili sauces. Lately, I've been into the "Chocula" sauce which is not too spicy hot but has a nice tang. Works well with my salad. Got a side of buttermilk fried chicken steak which I took home for a later dinner snack. Ginger beer was a nice treat, a bit sweet but solved with adding some water..Good to go! All in all, it's a great little hot spot for fried chicken fast food with unique chicken dishes, sides and entrees. read more

Randomly came here today and it was actually my first time. I had no expectations since I heard mixed reviews. I heard this place could get reallly packed though, luckily I caught this place at a good time. Anyways, very fast and good service! but no parking :( resorted to the meters i guess. I got the salmon and dill cream cheese waffle :) it was pretty good. Nothing unique that stood out to me though. Salmon was fresh though, i guess I could give it that one. My friend got the Apple bacon cheddar egg waffle sandwich. It was okay. It tastes better with ketchup and siracha though otherwise, it a little too oily for my taste. however my friend really enjoyed it, i guess she likes oily stuff. Sugar cane soda: way too sweet. the coke itself is already sweet but this just made it taste like im chugging sugar -_- NOW onto dessert: You must get the Creme Brulee dessert!! I normally hate creme brulee but this is something you just have to get even if you're not a dessert person. even if you're too full, it's worth gaining a pound from it. it's not too sweet either but just right amount of sweets! read more

I ate here the other night with a buddy of mine after an alumni event at Chapman University (he is the alumni, not me). We were greeted by Tyler who is kind of like the Maître D' or ambassador for Bruxie. Tyler did a tremendous job making some recommendations. I ended up ordering a 4 piece Nashville hot chicken tenders that come with waffle cut fries and my buddy ordered the regular tenders. Evidently, the girl who took my order thought I ordered a chicken waffle sandwich, so I ended up with the tenders and the waffle sandwich (they gave us the sandwich free of charge because of the mishap). Gold star for Bruxie and Tyler for making that happen. The sandwich and tenders were delicious and I recommend this place to anyone on a strict meal plan/diet if this is going to be your cheat meal. I paid for it the next morning, but it was yummy going down. I'd definitely eat here again if I want some yummy high calorie comfort food. I just took the one star off because my digestive track didn't do so well, but then again maybe I should blame that on genetics and not Bruxie :) read more

Gourmet waffles with toppings and stuffed with things you don't normally think of? Yes, please. I came here with a friend for the first time after all the chatter about fried chicken waffle sandwich. When I got there, I saw they had specials and there was a carolina pulled pork waffle sandwich that I could pass up. My friend got the fried chicken waffle sandwich. We both ate half of each just to see which was better. They were both equally good. The waffle was not soggy (which I was afraid of) and all the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The fried chicken was tender and crispy and was even better with the maple syrup they provided in a small bottle that girls would consider "cute". The pulled pork tasted as if it was slow cooked forever and the tangy coleslaw cut the sweetness offering a great contrast in flavors that balanced very well. Other than that, I definitely want to go back and try some other sandwiches. The waffles weren't dense like some other places and was light and crispy which definitely was enough to hold the sandwich together. Give this place a try! read more

I've been coming to Bruxies for about four years, and I can honestly say they've never disappointed. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently amazing every single time we visit. Their lemonade is absolutely delicious and is something I look forward to every time. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the customer service. Every employee has always been welcoming and kind, but Ruben especially deserves recognition. We've known him for about a year, and he always remembers us, greets us with a smile, and makes us feel genuinely welcome. He treats everyone with respect, checks in on us, and even clears our plates. His hospitality goes above and beyond, and it's one of the reasons we keep coming back. The atmosphere is always clean, comfortable, and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. I never thought I'd find a spot that serves up southern-style cuisine in Orange, CA but Bruxie has done just that! As a southern father, I've had my fair share of fried chicken sandwiches but the one at Bruxie is something special. The crispy, golden brown chicken is juicy and flavorful, and the tangy slaw and housemade pickles add the perfect balance of acidity. But what really blew me away was their waffle fries. They're crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and I couldn't stop eating them. I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when I first walked over to the stand but the atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Bruxie has a very special place in my heart and a designated space in my stomach - it's obvious that their food is worthy of a Golden Globe if restaurants had such a thing, with the crispiest freshest fried chicken and hand-crafted ingredients made fresh every day. I swear in college I saw a produce truck parked on that corner delivering fresh fruits and veggies every day. Gourmet fast casual food at its finest. Their employees are friendly, knowledgable, and great at their job. Their cooks have a magical way of creating a meal that fills me up and makes me whole all in one sitting! You don't walk into a place like Bruxie expecting to be blown away by every single item on their menu AND have an employee take the time to ask me how my day is going. And it's amazing how they do it all with the little space they have - if you've ever been, that kitchen is TINY! It is very rare that I leave a review and even more so when it is a good review. We showed up and even though parking in not plentiful there was a few open spots that were fairly close. As we got up to the place the line was 5-6 people deep but moved fast. Fairly shortly after we arrived someone came out with menus and that is not all, he was very entertaining as well. He suggested the pastrami bruxie which was amazing. The girl at the register was nice nothing special. Me and my co-workers selected a table that had a few o-rings from the sodas of the previous guest. Quickly the Manager Amanda came over to wipe down our table. She was extremely nice and was our second form of entertainment. Amanda wouldn't let me throw away my trash, refill my own water, and even let us try one of there tasty treats.... Something drastic is going to have to happen to keep me from going back again and again. read more

My favorite is their chicken Chipotle soup. Again, I love it so much I tried to make it at home so I can eat it if I'm craving it on a day that its not the soup of the day. You can tell their soups are made fresh because it always varies a little each time. Their cookies and brownies are delicious too. Their brownies are THICK.
