We ate here our first night in Cambria and it was amazing! We were sat immediately on a Friday night with no reservations. My husband and I shared the chicken and the potatoes, and I had the ginger drink, which was excellent. Food was delicious and seemed slightly Spanish-inspired, I really enjoyed the flavors of the chili on the chicken and the lemon and olives. The restaurant is in a beautiful old house and has a calm, intimate atmosphere and is not too loud. Service was also warm and attentive and the vibes were just good all around. As a transplanted local, we were very excited to try this new restaurant after experiencing some burnout from the rest of the them. Brydge did not disappoint! The ambiance and of course the food was A+ We had the chicken, smushed potatoes, kimchi and meatballs. More than enough food for two and took some home to enjoy the next day. Fantastic dinner at Brydge! We were dining a bit late and wanted "small plates", this was THE PERFECT meal for us. Every delicious dish was created with care and beautifully presented. Polenta was perfect, Beet Salad was amazing, Olive Oil Potatoes are not to be missed, mushrooms, olives, every bite a pleasure. Did I mention the wine? The wine was excellent. After our small plates we indulged in the Chocolate Pudding with flake salt. Sheer bliss. Not only were we gastronomically satiated, we were very well taken care of by Delphina, who graciously tolerated our running outside to look for the full moon rising during our meal. This place is a hidden gem. You would never know it by driving through this mostly residential neighborhood that hidden among the residences is this small structure with an adjacent parking lot. What was once the front yard of a house is a space for dining with polished stones embedded in homemade concrete bricks among red mason bricks, and stones wedged between the bricks. Beautiful succulents and rosebushes adorn in the yard with a shade tree out front. The backyard has also been converted to outdoor seating, and the interior is minimally, decorated, yet inviting. The food is some of the most outstanding incorporation of flavor and presentation I've ever had in my entire life! Coming from 40 years of culinary experience, I am in awe of the fusion in this most delectable cuisine. I don't even think the burgers that my husband and I ordered lasted five minutes. We literally consumed our food with urgency. I am generally a slow eater because I like to analyze the ingredients but I was able to effectively analyze my burger within that aforementioned five minutes. We also ordered a dish of noodles with scallops and prawns, that we shared between us. Leaves of seared kale were incorporated into this dish and made for a nice, crispy addition to the dish. If you're OK with pork in your diet, you have to try the pork meatballs in a tomato-based sauce. They are melt in your mouth delicious. Normally, I would order a bottle of wine to go with my food, but I opted for iced tea and water; the iced tea was some of the freshest brewed iced tea. I know it might sound a bit silly, describing something as simple as iced tea, but Just like the food, our beverages, were crafted with care. My compliments to the chef and staff running this place. As a local, I am always happy when new places open and then get excited when the chef comes from great culinary pedigree. I've been to return visits and always gravitate to the small plates. I love their smushed potatoes cause who doesn't love an aioli laced with smoked pimenton. Their bread and compound butter format is a MUST for the table. Run, don't walk, to this new restaurant. We were up from LA for the Labor Day weekend on a whim and came across Brydge while looking for dog-friendly dinner places. What a treat! The atmosphere is as charming as the staff and team there. Everyone fawned over our dog and she was as well taken care of as we were. We ordered The Wagyu Ribeye (MORE than enough for 2), the Polenta, the potatoes (the aioli with smoked pimenton was next level), the endive salad (so fresh!!!), and a couple of the mocktails on the Dry Bar menu (they were amazing -- we'll be recreating them when we get home). 10s across the board, y'all. We stopped at the Brydge Restaurant in Cambria. The service was nice. The old house was quaint, but the benches could have used a few cushions. The food was ok but we thought it was overpriced. The tin fish was canned fish and tasty but overpriced at $19 for what it was. The meatballs were good. We ordered the eggplant which was good but the cabbage inside the eggplant was a little crunchy. (very beautiful with the flowers/plants) Walking in, I must say took so much weight off my shoulders, I felt home. The staff gave us an option to eat inside or out. Taste rich but yet your eating healthy, everything is organic, no processed or additives foods here, taste like they just picked it @ a garden,many choices for vegans, with clean natural sauces that are of the best quality. I had one of the worst things I have ever put in my mouth at this restaurant - the mushroom burger - UGH! It was like biting into pure salt and was totally inedible. My friend tried it and also spit it out. Very disgusting. I took it apart thinking I could salvage part of the burger if I separated the cheese from the mushroom, but the mushroom also tasted of pure salt. I am a local and got the burger "to go". I called to tell them and they did not care at all. I had to throw it out, so it was a complete waste of money and I was left hungry with no lunch. I would give them one star for all of that, but their smushed potatoes are really good. The meatballs are also pretty good. So, I guess it depends on luck and what you order. I really liked the old Bridge Cafe and was excited to try out this new spot, but it was a huge disappointment. read more

All you could want for a great dinner experience - comfortable, relaxed ambience in a converted house off the main street; pleasant, friendly service; and nicely presented food that was absolutely on target! Each dish was a combination of fresh ingredients (even had fresh Gulf shrimp!!) that blended so well that each dish was a revelation onto itself. It was so easy to just savor one dish paired with a nice wine (good options there too) before going on to the next one. The meal was excellent, and as we were enjoying our meal, Callie and Elaine (owner/chef?) came by our table to see how we were doing. We were pleasantly surprised as this doesn't happen too often when dining out. On a side note, we were commenting on how cool the water carafe was. We asked where we could possibly get one, and Callie showed us the website. Well wouldn't you know, as we were preparing to pay our bill and leave, Elaine came out and gifted us the carafe!! Needless to say we were very touched by her kindness and generosity. She had no way of knowing it was our anniversary on that same day, so it made her gesture all the more special.
