Let me start off by saying that two weeks ago we did not have a very good experience. I kindly wrote a review and was contacted by the NEW general manager. He explained how he just took over this location and has been in this business for many years and is working very hard at fixing things that needed fixing! Last night we decided to try again and the food, drinks and service were excellent! It is a very relaxed place with indoor and outdoor seating. I have never sat in the outdoor seating, but I have noted every time we've gone that it is either heated during the winter and misters on during the summer making it a nice view of the river. My husband tried a new dish last night, I believe it was the New Orleans shrimp, and he absolutely loved it. I always have the shrimp heaven. Our waitress, Kari, was exceptional with her timing and checking on us. I don't know if it's because we went the last time about an hour before closing and this time we went earlier, but either way I do believe the new management is working on all those issues and if you haven't gone within the last three months, I suggest you try again. A nightmare for vegans. Nobody in the whole town of Laughlin knows what a vegan is or what plant based cuisine is. That's for starters. This utterly ridiculous Bubba Gump menu not only doesn't say the word "vegan" anywhere (surprise, surprise!) but the "steamed rice" comes with butter in it----no mention of that on the menu. The "steamed broccoli" comes dripping in butter and a strange parmesan sauce. Again no mention of this on the menu. And no, the chef will NOT be able to steam a new batch of broccoli for you in just water-----we asked. So everything is being sent back. We HATE this. We HATE having to work so f-ing hard to order something. The waitress was cute and nice! She had a full one week's experience working here----had never heard of vegans and was nice enough to run back and forth to ask the chef a bunch of questions. You know what we ended up with for our dinner? *drumroll* One small piece of corn each----like half a cob. I guess there's a small instant before they slather their Bubba corn in disgusting stuff, where it's actually just steamed. What a f-ing horror story. Of course in Los Angeles and New York and many other major cities, and even some minor ones, you don't have to be tortured by sadistic restaurants like this one anymore. There will be some nice vegan offerings right there on the menu and you can just order them. read more

We've been here a handful of times. Service is hit or miss. Food is hit or miss. Speed of food is hit or miss. I'd say we've had great service more than half the time, decent some and poor once. It was rough when we first started visiting the area a few years ago but has gotten better in time, or maybe it was a good weekend, I'll never know. But, my husband and loves Forrest gump so we come every time were in town. The entire atmosphere is set to the movie. Food is a little more than what it's worth, but you're laying for the whole experience and it's a touristy area so to be expected. Dined here with a party of 10. We were sat when 50% of our party was there. We ordered a few drinks and waited for the rest of our party. Our server, dang it, forgot his name, but he was very friendly, and we also did Forrest Gump Trivia. It was fun and entertaining. I visit Bullhead three times a year and I always stop in at Bubbas each time I do. The service is always phenomenal and the food is delicious. I've never had to ask for more napkins, silverware or had an empty condiment on the table. You can sit outside on the river and take in the amazing scenery which is a bonus. The managers often visit your tables to make sure everything is well and you're taken care of. Dakota always has a smile, is down to earth and you can tell she takes immense pride in her job, the employees and the restaurant in general. While I've had several different servers and even bartenders , they all do a great job and Dakota always seems to be there keeping it running above standards! read more

Decent option when visiting Golden Nugget or just Laughlin in general. I recommend getting a table outside on the patio so you can see the river views. Don't worry if it's cold, they have heat lamps! I like that there is typically no wait here, which is the total opposite of the Vegas location! Service is alright, it seems like the kitchen is a bit slow at times and then when the food comes out it's barely warm. Maybe almost room temp. The service here sucks. Came for a family dinner and honestly it was the worse experience. Hostess was so inconsiderate. Overall the customer service was horrible. Never coming back to this location. We didn't get assigned a server lol our party got seated but no assigned server. A gentleman ended up helping us but we waited over an hour for nothing. We ended up leaving. I got the Lava Flow which was so delicious but not super strong. (They give you a fresh cup to take home instead of having you take the dirty cup, btw!) We shared the Sampler and the Shrimper's Heaven. I really enjoyed it! Lots of sauces to try. Fries could be crispier. The hush puppies were delish!! Everything was pretty good. One of these dishes is honestly enough for 2 people if you plan on eating anything else that day or have a smaller appetite.
