Love Bubba Gump. We have been to several locations in different cities! Love the food the decor the service just the whole dining experience. We were greeted with a Hello and were seated pretty quickly. We wanted to sit at the bar snd the bar tender was amazing. The restaurant was very clean and service was great. I'm giving three starts for the food. I ordered Caesar salad with shrimp and my husband had shrimp Mac and cheese. My salad had so much salad dressing on it that it seemed like half the bottle just spilled on the salad. Way too much. It was not even enjoyable. My husband liked his Mac and cheese. Pre-COVID, hubby and I would take little mini getaways to Laughlin a couple of times a year. Missing our silly little weekend trips and tired of being stuck in the house all the time, we decided to take a drive to the town to walk around the Riverwalk and partake in some safe outdoor activities last weekend. We figured we could be outside safely while wearing our masks, and get a little exercise in a new setting. Although the weather was very chilly, we were excited to see that Bubba Gump had their outdoor, riverside patio open for in-person dining! We refused to eat inside a restaurant due to safety concerns right now, so we jumped at the chance to be waited on by dining safely on the patio. Since reservations are required for restaurants in Nevada, we were happy that one was available. I think it was because we were the only fools who wanted to sit outside, but at 4:00 we were able to secure a spot for 5:45 pm. No problem at all, we just strolled along the river until it was time. Only two other tables were seated on the patio, and the hostess sat us all at opposite ends of the outdoor dining area, making it super distanced and safe. The restaurant had two very warm fire pits as well as half a dozen propane heaters. We were seated right next to one of the open flames and we weren't too chilly at all the entire meal. The outdoor deck is right along the Colorado River, which was gorgeous and calming at sunset. It's a perfect setting and made us feel as if we were doing something "normal" again. The patio was still decorated for Christmas, with charming lights which added to the low key ambience. Our server was so happy and even thanked us for dining out. You could tell she was appreciative of having customers, a big change from many of the restaurants in Las Vegas, where I live. Most of the time they make you feel awful for wanting to sit outside, and some refuse to let you sit outside (so we won't dine there). Here, they were SUPER welcoming and happy to have us, and never once acted like we were a burden! Big plus for that! The food is your standard issue chain restaurant fare, most of it tasted microwaved and was of a barely acceptable quality. (Not quite as good as Red Lobster, but not as bad as Golden Corral). I ordered the grilled seafood plate with extra broccoli for $21, and I'd call it edible. It was similar to frozen Gorton fish fillets. The shrimp was good and not overcooked, and my broccoli was absolutely delicious. So was the garlic bread appetizer, but it's hard to mess up garlic bread! I loved my freshly-brewed iced tea too. We didn't come here for the food, we came here for the pleasure of dining out. I almost cried I was so happy to get to eat at a real restaurant. Major kudos to Bubba Gump for keeping their patio open (even in the winter and cold / windy weather) so people like me can still enjoy a meal. read more

I came to Bubba Gump Shrimp with a group of friends. Normally I would have ordered something that has seafood, but I wanted to try something else. I decided to try the Texas Chicken Sandwich. There was a choice of grilled or fried. I decided to go with grilled. There was nine of us and I thought it would've taken longer for all of us to, but all of the food came in a timely manner. Honestly I have no idea where to start. Well I have eaten at bubba Gumps this the worst one by far. I expected it to be held to hirer quality in Laughlin but unfortunately that isn't the case. We got sat and we were a party of 8 4 adults and 4 children. It took over 10 mins for anyone to come by our table. Delwyn was our waitress and she was so rude and before we even finished ordering our drinks she was trying to walk away. No chance to even order an appetizer. She wasn't friendly, she didn't introduce her self and seemed upset that we choose bubba gumps for dinner during business hours. There was two other tables besides ours . So she wasn't swamped and had no reason to be rude. When we asked for refills she responded with ok anything else before I go back again And shook her head with attitude. I am sorry we asked for Services at a restaurant. She had an attitude the whole time . We had to stop another waitress to refill our drinks her name was cami and she was so sweet and friendly I wish she would have been our server. Now my husband order surf and Turf and his shrimp, mashed potatoes and broccoli was cold. They had us place the shrimp in a separate plate to warm up. How unprofessional and unsatisfactory. The rewarmed shrimp making it very tough. My sisters had the same complains. The artichoke was flavorless and cold as well. My calamari was very hard and tough to eat as if it's been sitting out for a long time. It also came out cold. If I could give this place no stars I would. I get it that companies and restaurant hires new people all the time, but please (trainer) don't let them take food orders and answer questions that they aren't 100% sure of. My cousins and I always go to Laughlin in the summer for a family vacation, and we often struggle trying to find a place that we all like and can get seated quickly (we usually come back from the river really hungry). We passed by buba gump thinking it was going to be packed on a Friday night but we gave it a chance a put our names down, they seated us right away!! The hostess and waitress were super sweet and very attentive. It was also the 6 of us wanting to pay separately, so we were kind of nervous asking her about the check before taking our order (we didn't want her mood to be changed by our crazy request). But she was super understanding and sweet about it and she made the ordering and payment super easy. The food was also really good, they had a wide variety of meals to choose from, which is awesome because some of us don't like shrimp very much. But I ordered the 1/2 pound Cajun/garlic shrimp that's cooked in beer, and it was delicious! I also ordered extra lemon on the side because I just like citrus. What a difference a year makes ! We went to Bubba Gumps for dinner while in Laughlin. We talked about how good the Thanksgiving dinner was that we had there. How disappointing this time was !!! The hostess acted like she wanted to be somewhere else. She moped around and showed no interest in customer service. We waited for a while before the waitress showed up she took our drink order made a few suggestions and then left for not being very busy she was gone for a bit. She bought our drinks took our order and left and stayed gone for over a half hour. She came back to bring drink refills and disappeared again. It was so long that I told my wife if my food came out cold I wasn't going to tolerate it. Finally a person showed up with our order and bigger than shit cold fried shrimp and fries this was the fastest I saw anyone move here she was gone before I could say anything. I saw our waitress talking to some people and called her over and made it real clear that I wasn't waiting 45 minutes for cold food. She picked up the garbage and disappeared for a while and came back and said she turned the matter over to the manager who we never saw. After about another half hour I told my wife that we weren't getting anything to eat here and left. I saw my wife later and she said she had cold food delivered again but the waitress didn't charge her for anything. Sunday night was a full house but no wait time. Kitchy place based on the movie, lots of memorabilia to look at while waiting. Food actually came out quick. Some drinks come with a souvenir glass, love that! Lots of shrimp and fish options. Staff was friendly. They have a riverside dining area which would be beautiful in the cooler months. Good food for Laughlin. We had the mahi mahi with shrimp and jambalaya. Both were lower calorie items on the menu. It is nice to have the calories listed on the menu since it helped us make better choices on food & drinks. Service was quick and we were seated fast. Our reservation was on a weekend and before 5pm during off season. The waitress came by often to check on us. Drink selection was great and there is a nice view of the river. It was very tender and flavorful and they were very generous with the shrimp compared to outback next-door. Actually, the steak here was better than Outback too ! I've tried the brand before and have never been horribly impressed with it. It's a fun atmosphere. This one, located in the Golden Nugget, wasn't much different. The staff was friendly and attentive, there was no complaints about them. Apps: fried calamari with fried pepperoncinis. It was good, could tell it was probably pre-made by the chain and then fried upon request, so nothing that stood out. Seasoning was fine, calamari was slightly mushy, or at least didn't have that slight chew fresh does. Peppers were good fried. Drinks: lava flow, muddled strawberry basil something or another. Both sweet, middling on the pour. Mains: wife got the Forrest's Seafood Feast. I got Forrest's surf and turf. For the surf and turf, I ordered medium rare, it would have been generous to call what I got medium. Dry and not a ton of flavor, had to salt it. My shrimp was cold--colder than room temp. I mentioned it (politely, I strive to never be rude to the servers because most often they are doing the best they can). After a bit she brought out 2 skewers instead of the one that it comes with, which was nice if her. The shrimp itself-not sure if microwaved or not, but definitely over done. Chewy with a hint of smoke/grilled flavor and not much else flavor wise. Overall underwhelming. Wife's came with fried shrimp, fish n chips, and seafood hush puppies. The portions for each were small, especially considering the price. Her shrimp was wasn't dried out, decent size and hot. Her fish was overdone and dry. She only got two hush puppies, one was split in half (she didn't get the other half). They were dense and greasy, according to her. I didn't try them. Our server was sweet and apologized for the wait and the shrimp. She did a great job and was working hard with the tables around us as well. The best part of my shrimp platter was the coconut version with the tempura coming in last. Fries were way better than white rice, but the lava flow drink was the highlight for me. This was the worst restaurant experience. The server looked like she was on drugs. The food was not that great . Red lobster is a million times better . Ordered the bucket with crab legs. It was very spicy and dried out and overcooked. The server put in the wrong order for the appetizer and then brought it out and Yelled at me for not wanting it when I clearly ordered a different one . Then, she started writing really hard on her little notepad. I will never go back there again. Do not recommend, tbh I expect much more of this place being that it's right by the water . One of the restaurants in Golden Nugget Casino with outdoor seating. Perfect for us because we had our dog with us. The outdoor seating area is by the river, really nice. You can take water taxi here as well. There are fire pits in the outdoor seating area, which is nice for a chilly day. We had shrimp gumbo soup, burger, and 2/3 net catch shrimp. Shrimp gumbo soup - $5.69, was good. Burger - $10.29. The meat was okay, but we didn't like the type of bun they used for burger. Net catch shrimp - $13.29, were so-so. The size of shrimp were small.
