Last night it was really cold and after running around we decided to go out for dinner at 9pm. Yes 9pm. We chose this restaurant. Great choice because they still had what we wanted. This was my first time. Half of the group had been here before. First of all I like the set up. The decor is top tier. I liked the fact that you order at a counter or code on the phone. No waiting for a server. Everything is paid for up front. You still get the feel of a sit down restaurant. They bring your food to the table. The dinnerware is heavy and colorful. Very festive. I ordered 1/4 Chicken Breast in Manho Lime flavor and Brussels Sprouts. We also had Chicken Thighs, Chicken Wings, Portuguese Rice Fries, Cauliflower, Sweet Potatoes and Garlic Bread on the table as well. I once sampled Peri-Peri sauce at the mall and thought it was so tasty that I bought a bottle, however, I had no reference of what properly prepared Peri-Peri chicken should taste like. I was stoked when I accidentally came across Nando's Peri-Peri Chicken while picking up dinner at another restaurant. I decided there and then I would take my girlfriend there during our next date night. We settled on going Friday around 6 PM. I was immediately impressed by the trendy ambience and how busy the place was. As I looked around there were plenty of happy faces that appeared to enjoy their food. I was a bit concerned that the chicken would be too hot for my girlfriend, she is super sensitive to spicy foods. It turns out that each menu option offered a variety of spice levels. She didn't have any trouble finding something she felt she could handle. While we waited we had a chance to sample the sauce bar and tried a few of the different Peri-Peri Sauces. They were super tasty and it made me extra excited to try the food. I ended up ordering the half chicken and my girlfriend ordered the Peri-Peri Rainbow Bowl. As an appetizer we ordered the fried cheese, and for desert the Naughty Nata. Everything was amazing. Each bite was packed full of flavor and the chicken was super juicy. I also enjoyed the Naughty Nata. It was a nice treat to wrap up a good meal. The only downside I had was about the spiked lavender lemonade. We had trouble figuring out how to order a pitcher through the app. When we received the pitcher I wasn't able to tell if there was any tequila in the drink. The lemonade itself was delicious but I wasn't sure if they forgot to add the alcohol. After our first experience we both agreed we will have to come back to try their sandwiches. The chicken is underseasoned, maybe on purpose since they're known for their sauces for flavor. The Mac and cheese was watery and $2 extra. The dishes are okay and felt kind of like a home-cooked meal. I would have preferred the chicken to be more tender and a little more seasoned. One of the managers walked us to our time and walked us through the menu, offering recommendations for us to consider. He also walked us through their unique ordering set up: you order all your food and drinks ahead of time and continued to check in on us throughout the meal to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. As for the food it was delicious! I got the 2 piece chicken with a side of Fries and my wife got the rainbow bowl. The 2 piece bone in chicken was flavored to perfection but the chicken breast for the rainbow bowl could have used a bit more flavor. We needed a quick meal that did not consist of burgers or pizza. Found Nando on our way to TJ and decided to give it a try. It was early enough so parking was available right next to the entrance. The server showed us our table and explained to us how everything works. Once you view your menu, you order through the QR code type your table number and wait for your food. It felt like a lively restaurant, the music was a little loud for conversation and there were maybe 15 tables in the whole place. I ordered the house white wine as it was on the happy hour menu. However, it was not very good so I ended up switching with the DH for his coke. We ordered the buffalo wings, a peri peri bowl and a quarter thigh meal with rice. The food came out pretty quick, the chicken was hot and juicy. I thought the lemon and herb sa ice was a little strong on the lemon. The buffalo was delicious and so was the extra hot. My only complaint is that my side of rice was in a small bowl but when I went to take a forkful there was literally one fork of rice in that side dish. Very excited to have a nandos near us and I LOVED it! We came for dinner with some friends and the food was cheap and service was quick. We sat outside on the patio since it was a nice night and the 4 of us decided to share a family platter that came with 2 sides as well as some hummus to start with. The chicken was soooo good! It was absolutely massive and honestly a lot of food for 4 of us so I think it could realistically feed 5 or 6 people. They also had a lot of fun sauces to go with the chicken, my favorite was a spicy garlic sauce but the spicy lime one was also a hit. For our sides we had the Mac n cheese (delicious!) and the cauliflower (just to be a little healthier lol but still really good). They are only doing sit down service right now and the overall experience is a little confusing. You can go inside and order with a cashier or order at your table. Came here with a friend on a Saturday for lunch and while parking can be a challenge to find in the Forum, I was surprised that I didn't have to wait for a table. After being seated and looking through the menu, you have to go to the counter at the front to pay and order. I went with the garlic bread CLT and a side of their fries. I am a huge fan of their garlic bread and loved that they incorporated it into a sandwich. They do have a station for drinks and all their sauces on the other side which you can get to after ordering. We were given water glasses and were told that we could either get fountain drinks or we could order specialty drinks that would be brought to the table. Craft drinks were a great selection, interesting mixtures and very delicious. The food was extremely flavorful not dry at all and came in great portions. The flavor profile was very distinct and different and I definitely will be back. It is something that you get a taste for. I think I was more impressed by the fact that they had a sink to wash your hands right beside where you prepare your drink, grab napkins and utensils and get your silverware. Chicken was cooked to perfection, so flacorful and juicy and had a great kick since I ordered it hot. Cauliflower had fantastic flavor. My only concern is the lack of consistency at the Perimeter location might transfer to this one. Alot of Atlanta restaurants seem to be inconsistent with quality, its disappointing. The food looks pretty, but it's not good at all. It seems that they pre-cook all their food which you could tell. The chicken was very rubbery. Everything was cold when it came out to me even though they had us waiting over an hour. Sat outside where it doesn't look like they don't clean any of the condiments dispensers. A lot of them had ants in them. The manager was decent you could tell her she didn't want be there. I wouldn't recommend anyone go here to this location because it doesn't feel like they like to give good quality food to the customers.
