This was our first visit to Bubbakoo's, and we weren't sure what to expect, except for what we read on previous reviews. However, the food was delicious and fresh. Our only wish was for more fresh veggie items for a salad as the fajita veggies and corn did not look as fresh as some of the other food items. The Chiwawa is unique with the crunchy panko outside and rice inside. It's great with queso and steak on top. Our server was very patient and helpful with caring for our order since we were new here. Price paid was about what we expected for the amount of food we ordered, and we appreciated the free chips and salsa on a Saturday. The pulled pork nachos were our favorite items we tasted. The Hibachi steak and shrimp are good, too.

Was not aware that this was a chain. This restaurant is right next to my favorite coffee shop in Riverview, but never thought to stop by. Decided to try as an alternative to Chipotle, after craving something "lighter" after a good gym day. I got a chicken bowl which was okay, it was lacking flavor - not sure if I could've added a different sauce or salsa to it! My friend got a burrito which he really enjoy. We shared the southwest eggs rolls which were my favorite of the meal. The service was great and the employees were very upbeat and positive which I loved!

On Friday night in Riverview, we were feeling hungry and decided to search for nearby food options. After seeing that Bubbakoo's Burritos was open and offered Mexican food, we decided to visit the store. After we entered the store, we perused the menu and ultimately decided on ordering a Grilled Chicken Tostada Salad and Chicken Tacos. The staff and ambiance were both wonderful. For our Tostada salad and Tacos, we carefully selected the ingredients. Our order was ready quickly and we started with the Chicken Tacos. The chicken was grilled perfectly and the tacos were delicious, especially when paired with the crispy chips. Following that, we enjoyed the tostada salad which was also superb. It was filled with fresh and tasty ingredients that we absolutely loved. Overall, our experience at the restaurant for dinner was wonderful.

I went here on a recommendation from the hotel desk. It didn't hurt I had a 10% off coupon either. I got there about 2 pm on a Sunday after a long travel day. The two young men working were great! Super friendly and helpful. They explained the menu and how it works. I went with the Burrito Dilla basically all the stuff in a burrito but in a quesadilla . I got the smaller one and it was plenty. You pick your meat then your toppings. They grill up the meat and away you go. The Burrito Dilla was great it was grilled perfectly. I would recommend giving this place a try and want to thank the staff there that day for great service!

This is a great place we like to come to eat. We enjoy the food, the ambience, the cleanliness of the place and the great service every time we come here. Nick is always here when we come and we look forward to having him serve us as he is so kind, professional and always has a smile. His hospitality skills are superb! Thank you!! Steve

Well, I would like to start off saying that we came earlier through the day. We were trying to scope a good place to go eat in our area. We don't normally eat out so finding our budget is hard enough to note. There's nothing worse being devastated by poor balance of taste. I was very impressed by the well mannered gentleman Elvin. He showed really down to earth so humor. If you're looking for something that's gonna knock your socks off you should try this place. We tried the pineapple express burrito with chicken with a little hit just enough heat not to chase off your pallet We follow a Chihuahua. I know what you're thinking, It is a dish that hits home to roots hello Latino friends. We had it pulled pork, black beans, humbled with unique drizzled sauce topped some cheese and cilantro slammed underneath with fried rice ball was actually very cleaver cause that "el pegao or coco de arroz" that we Latinos know about. It's got a little bite but the flavor is so worth. Definitely worth all my pennies. Thanks we look forward to our next visit. Taco smell or Cheatpotle got nothing like this. Yeah I misspelled on purpose.

First time and the Mango habananero taco salad is really good. Put on it what you like which is always a plus for me. Thirsty Thursday free drink with entree, can't beat that. They have more l more than that including fried oreos . Worth a try for sure.

Very close to 4.5 stars. This restaurant has potential. Newly open. It give good quantity of food. It is upscale fast food with good flavor. Menu is easy understanding. A three step process to select what you want. First step is to choose the your entree. This includes burritos, quesadilla, bowl, taco. Next step is to choose your protein, it includes different types of chicken, pork, steak or ground beef, shrimp. Base on type of protein will determine the price of the items. Next step to choose your add on. They have good choices. I got the steak quesadilla. The add on was delicious. It take 10 minutes to prepare my thick quesadilla. It has good cheese. My wife have BBQ pork. The bowl is huge with add on. She like the taste of it. Overall I said it is good value for the food we have. I like the good thick quesadilla. Enough steak in it. Good grilled steak.

I enjoyed my burrito here with some mango habanero sauce. Service was friendly and organized. The place itself is comfortable with some fun pictures on the wall. It's a place I will come back for sure!

If you like fast, casual and delicious food, this is your place! I visited on grand opening day and all the staff members and owners were there. Let me tell you they are the nicest people! Portions are huge so prepare yourself. Prices are very very good and the mango habanero sauce is amazing. I recommend the chiwawa (very unique and delicious) and the quesadilla. And they have FRIED oreos!

It was open for business, but there was only one other group of two in there with us-and only one server-who was also the bartender. It was a little odd. I'm sure this place is popping at night. Our server (who was chatty at the end-businesslike before) told us there's karaoke on Friday nights and a DJ on Saturdays. I'll definitely bring the friends back for that. The drink menu is large-it would be a fun night spot. I'm just not sure I'd come back for a weekday lunch. That's not the food's fault, though. I had chicken enchiladas verde (very nice) with some of the best Mexican rice I've ever had. The margarita was also good. You can tell this restaurant has been around awhile-there are echoes of genres past, with different decor still lingering (the lighting, for example). But I love the murals outside, the bar surrounds, the signage by the stage area and the other Mexican touches. I also really like the vintage windows-it's a nice nod to the past. And it's spotless in here-so clean-with lots of tables. I also thought the prices were fair. I hope they thrive!

We did not know that walking in. They all looked at us like what are you doing here? My husband even said is this a restaurant? So we asked for a menu - which is a QR code. Yes- they have food. We decided to sit at the bar and at least have a drink. It was early so no a lot of people. Everyone seemed confused as to how things worked. Most employees spoke Spanish and we do not. A bartender did speak English. He asked what we wanted and took our drink order. He was nice. We did end up getting food. Chips and salsa=$10! Other items were priced fairly. We asked for water and he claimed they only had bottles of still water=$4.50. But we saw someone else get a glass with ice/water at another table. Also be warned there is a "service fee" of 15% (for what I have no idea) and if you use a credit card 3% card fee. We searched on line to see what people said about this place and some other reviews on Google said they charge $10 to get in although we were not charged anything to come in. In the end the food was pretty good. Bottom line- this is a nightclub with an identity problem as they are trying to serve food as well and it just does not have a restaurant or bar&grill feel to it. We won't be back as not our scene, but also wish them well with the clients they really are trying to attract.

I've been here before with friends a few times, years ago but somehow never wrote a review and hadn't been back. It was time to fix both of those problems. . I stopped in for lunch on a Monday and had my pick of spots in the large, festive- rustic dining room. There are tables and booths aplenty-along with tall stools at the large bar. They bring you a generous basket of chips and salsa right away. The first round is free-they charge after that. The chips are usually fresh and crisp. To me, the salsa needs more heat or spices-but don't go by me-I have tomato issues. My server arrived soon and was so sweet when handling my questions. She helped me make good ordering decisions and also checked on me often, but didn't hover. I went with one of the lunch specials, which was a good deal. I had the Speedy Gonzalez: a beef taco, beef enchilada verde and rice (you could have also chosen beans). It's tasty and filling-and goes down great with those aforementioned skinny margs. I ordered the cheese dip and a side of flour tortillas to dip in it. I just can't resist a bowl of cheese. All this merriment on a Monday afternoon? Si!!! The menu is big-and has echos of the Vallarta's restaurants here in the Bay Area. I'm wondering if it's a sister restaurant. It's in a strip mall, with some parking in front and maybe more in back. There's outdoor seating-and I know they used to have mariachis on certain nights-and people would dance. I should find out if that's still the case. I love mariachis even more than a bowl of cheese. Gran Agave has been here a long time. I think it has a strong local following-and I need to become a regular.

We had a group of nine for a family dinner and waited about an hour for a table, which was understandable for a larger party. Once seated, however, the service was unfortunately very slow. It took about 15-20 minutes just to receive our drinks (seven waters and two margaritas), and our food took roughly an hour to arrive at the table. The restaurant didn't appear to be overly busy, so the long wait times were a bit confusing. Because gratuity was automatically included, it felt like our server may not have been as attentive as expected. The prices were also on the higher side, which made the slow service even more disappointing. That said, I do want to mention that the food itself was very good, which was definitely the highlight of the experience. Overall, while we enjoyed the meal, the customer service left a lot to be desired. I'd consider returning in the future, but only if the service improves.

I ordered the Al Pastor burrito -- twice in one week -- specifically to test consistency. Both visits were outstanding. The flavors were vibrant and clean: fresh pineapple, bright cilantro, perfectly seasoned meat, and you could even pick up subtle notes of cinnamon. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and genuinely authentic, not over-processed or masked with heavy sauces. What really stood out was the care. The staff checked on me while I was eating, genuinely wanting to make sure everything was right. Truly-it's a feast for the senses-all the colorful lamps, the background music, the accent lighting and wall quotes, even the menus: super colorful and stylish. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30, for a late lunch after morning errands. I was hoping to find a new hangout for Saturday nights with friends. This place is large-so many booths and tables-and a separate bar area with tall stools. It's somewhat dim inside, even with all the windows, which just adds to the ambiance. It's also very clean and well staffed. Service was quick and efficient--complimentary chips and salsa arrived in a flash-and I truly appreciate my server telling me the margarita at the bottom of the list was $40. (None of the cocktails have prices listed in the menu, as of May 2026). I wanted to order a couple of things, since I'd been trying to get here for so long. I ordered queso fundido, expecting it to be cheese dip with a bit or chorizo. It was actually the other way around: chorizo with a spoonful of cheese on top. It was surprising-very filling and tasty enough-and I liked that it came with three flour tortillas. But I don't think I'll get it again. Don't let that deter you, though. It's just my preference. It's made well and presented nicely, like everything here. Give it a whirl! I also ordered enchiladas Suizas. They came with a small guacamole salad and beans, which I swapped out for rice. This dish was really tasty and a generous portion-so much chicken in the enchiladas-super filling but not heavy at all. I was full from the appetizer, so I had lots of leftovers. They reheated beautifully. I would definitely order this again. But it's a big and intriguing menu. I have lots more exploring to do! This location has several sister restaurants, in places like Lakeland and Zephyrhills. This one is right off I-75 and really easy to access. There's lots of parking and I think they have mariachis, certain nights. I will definitely be back-sooner rather than later-and get more details. Cheers!

We sat on the patio outside which was perfect. Our server, Angelica was amazing super sweet, kind, and patient we loved her! We started off with some chips and salsa which was okay. I was super hungry so i ate it but the salsa kinda tasted like spaghetti sauce. Not my fave at all. But the chips were good. We ordered the margarita flight which was very ok. The smaller portions made the flavors feel so much more concentrated. Pretty underwhelming bc all i could taste was how sweet it all was and just a hint of tequila. Definitely better off ordering a regular drink next time. But it was super cute and exciting how the flight came with the sparklers! For dinner we ordered this huge taco platter which was an absolute dream come true. It came with 12 tacos and your choice of meat. We picked chicken, al pastor and carne asada! For my birthday forget a cake i want this taco platter! The vibes, music, staff were great as well as the tacos. The order comes out and is steak, chicken and shrimp so I tell them that we didn't order chicken. They come back two minutes later with the same fajitas without the chicken on the plate -- clearly they had just scraped the chicken off and didn't add anything to the plate but rather just covered the space up with grilled veggies. The fajitas for two had 5 shrimp on it for $46...what a freaking joke.
