Really, really, really delicious! I got the baby back rib dinner with fries, green beans, coleslaw and garlic bread. My boyfriend got the brisket dinner with collard greens, corn on the cob and corn bread. I love when a place slices the brisket instead of serving chunks, brings me back to my Louisiana childhood. Everyone on staff was very sweet and the food came out super quick! Cute inside as well :) very happy!

Pretty pricey considering the portion size, at least based on my first experience here, especially when there is an upcharge for okra and you only get 5 pieces. The plate in my photos was $17. It's really good though. Highly recommend the jalapeño cheese grits. Like, highly recommend!!! General info: Private parking lot, indoor and outdoor seating. Mostly tight booths but there are some tables with chairs on the far side. Self-serve fountain drinks. Condiments at each table. Interior reminds me of Sonny's. Good service. Food comes out super quick!

We love Bubbalou's. The staff is friendly, the food selections are numerous and the barbecue is amazing!! Lots of seating, the place is clean. My favorite is the black-eyed peas, corn bread and collard greens. But I always have to get the fried okra--cooked the way I like it crispy.

The food wasn't too bad. This was a quick stop through. I ordered through the drive thru. Server was okay, there wasn't a long wait. Can't speak on the ambience inside but parking lot had few cars. Won't mind stopping in again in the future but won't say I'm running back.

Nice bbq place, service was nice! The brisket I would highly recommend, it was very tender and flavorful! They have you order at the front and wait at the table, so make sure you look at some pictures from yelp to see what else looks good.

I'm sad writing this review . Driving by I saw this place and was extremely excited . People on the line were bragging how good this place was . When my wife got her pulled pork barbecue sandwich the pork tased like tuna and had no barbecue on it. My sandwich had the smallest amount of brisket I'd ever seen in a sandwich for both our meals and 1 drink paid $30 total waste of time and money. Please don't eat here

Break me off a piece of that Kit Kat Bar? Nah, break me off a Rib! Haven't had Bubbalou's since probably college days. I remember trying to study after eating the dinner portion.. not happening. Incoming food coma! Recently had myself some of these RIBS (on top of Garlic Bread) w/ Fries, Baked Beans, Coleslaw Ribs were pretty tender. I also got the Killer BBQ Sauce and no lie, it made me sweat.. lol. I'm glad I love spicy!

On the plus side, the beef brisket is yummy, a variety of sauces, good sides, casual atmosphere and the best name ever for a BBQ joint. However, this place hasn't changed in at least 15 years and it's showing it's age. Plus, the food is average compared to newer options like 4 Rivers. You can choose from a sandwich only, sandwich basket with one side or dinner with 3 sides. Meats include the regulars of beef brisket, pulled pork, sliced pork and pulled chicken. Favored sides at our table were the French fries, cole slaw, potato salad, Mac & cheese and Texas caviar (pickled black beans). Pepsi products on tap(actually self serve fountain). You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Busiest at lunch and quiet on a Saturday night. Long tables with bench seating that can accommodate parties of 8. Friendly folks at the counter. BBQ is not the friendliest to Low FODMAP diets. I stuck with low impact sides like green beans and French fries, beef brisket and no sauces. The brisket was tasty with a layer of fat on top that could be easily trimmed off. I enjoyed my return down memory lane where I ate many lunches with colleagues, but I'm afraid that it has not improved itself, allowing better options to come in and wow like 4 Rivers. Okay in a pinch, but better options prevail.

Won't be ordering from here again. Chicken was sent undercooked, we ordered double fries they gave us double beans.

For my drink I decided on the sweet tea and for dessert o got a key lime cake slice. The food didn't take very long. I did take the food to go but, I did a taste test before heading home. The fries were for my husband but they were delicious and it was def filling ! The sampler was amazing and I def recommend if you're not sure which exact meat you want. The brisket & ribs were so tender they melt in your mouth. The sausage was a bit spicy but good and the pork was seasoned well. The wings were also very good. The sides were delicious but, the Brussel sprouts were very salty and especially as you got to the bottom of the container. The key lime pie was spectacular! I was able to refill my sweet tea while I waited at no additional cost . Overall all I enjoyed this place and look forward to visiting again .

The mains were absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and seasoned perfectly. For dessert we had the beignets, and they were sweet, flaky, and full of flavor. The perfect ending to the meal. To drink we had the Hurricane and the Hemingway. The drinks were definitely strong, but absolutely worth it. The music, atmosphere, and overall energy really reminded me of New Orleans culture. You haven't had shrimp and grits til you've had them as grit cakes, get the shrimp and grit cake: Monica style, if you don't like spice, maybe don't get it but it's delicious otherwise. The combination of the crunchy fried exterior and the creamy grits inside is such a yummy experience. Lastly, you have to get beignets and an espresso martini. As a beignet obsessed person, it pains me to say that their bread pudding is the superior dessert. I'm not a HUGE fan of the croissant flaky style of beignet that's become the norm for most places, but that's what they have here. I'd much prefer the classic beignet with the pocket of air in the middle. But otherwise they're still amazing and the espresso martini is delicious. Sarah B was an efficient and friendly waitress! The steak frites are just as magnificent as my boyfriend and I remembered. Have you ever had a food memory? Years ago, my dad made the best steak I've ever had. He passed away when I was a kid, and two summers ago, when I took my first bite of the steak here, my mouth watered... but so did my eyes. It was one of the strangest, most beautiful experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. For a moment, it felt like Dad was sitting at the table with us. To taste something so familiar, something I hadn't experienced in over twenty years, was surreal. That's not a compliment I hand out lightly. So we each had that For this visit, we started with the rock shrimp tacos, and they absolutely did not disappoint. They packed a nice little kick without overwhelming the dish, and we practically inhaled them. Of course, we had to finish the meal the same way we did last time: with churros. Somehow they were even better than we remembered. Crispy, warm, perfectly sweet, exactly the kind of dessert that makes you argue over who gets the last bite. My boyfriend ordered two Old Fashioneds, and I had two Cosmos. Both were delicious and definitely generous on the pour. I was a little concerned when we arrived for our 8:00 p.m. reservation because the place was PACKED for a Thursday night. We ended up waiting a bit past our reservation time. The hostess suggested we grab a drink at the bar, but that area was just as crowded, so we hung out in the lobby instead. The wait ended up being completely worth it because we were seated at the exact table I was secretly hoping for: the most perfect little corner window booth, straight out of a movie scene. It was the ideal setting for our last night of vacation. And then there was our server, Anton. Anton could teach a master class on waiting tables. He was efficient, funny, attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what he was doing. In a world where great service sometimes feels like a lost art, Anton was an absolute delight. The Ravenous Pig delivered once again: phenomenal food, excellent cocktails, memorable service, and one of those meals you'll still be talking about long after you've gone home. The cauliflower appetizer missed the mark a bit for me, the pieces were a little too big and came out slightly undercooked. The chicken salad was just alright, nothing bad but nothing memorable either. Parking can be a little tough in the area, but the complimentary valet makes it much easier. I love that they have a quicker option out back with the beer garden, you can't go wrong!

I made a reservation for a Saturday evening on Resy in advance. Since valet parking is free, I took advantage of it and headed straight to check in. I was greeted immediately and sent to the table where I could watch the open kitchen. I was told most of the drinks were strong, so I tried the mezcal drink (14 dollars). I forgot the name, but it was smoky, herbal, and lightly boozy. It was such a nice sipping drink. I was very happy that my server was very honest in mentioning the salmon was farmed raised, so I decided to go with the airline chicken instead (26 dollars). Before I was given my chicken, the chef near my table gave me a complimentary hors D'oeuvre. It looked to be a small wonton bowls filled with ahi tuna with some guac topping I think. Whatever it was, I was in heaven. It was fresh and flavorful, making my taste buds happy. When the chicken arrived, it came mostly deboned. It was tender enough, but could have been a little more juicy. It could been a bit more seasoned as well since I tasted mostly chicken without any other flavors. The vegetables, however, were far better as the potatoes were roasted and seasoned perfectly. I thought there would be mostly grilled vegetables, but the potatoes overtook them. The other vegetables were still amazing. I wish there was more of the green salsa, but it was thin. It did, however, added the kick and flavor to the chicken. It was still a very enjoyable entree. For dessert, they handed a separate menu, and I had to do the creme brulee (11 dollars). It was quite generous, but still light enough to finish. The crust was crispy without being too powerful, and the vanilla specks just made the flavor perfect. The service was excellent and professional. When it was time to pay, I showed the email to my server, who got the manager to verify. The manager immediately checked and gave me the twenty dollars off, making the total price before tips about 33 dollars after tax. It was a great deal. Both the manager and server checked up with me on the dinner and were very friendly. The atmosphere is upscale, but t-shirt and jeans are still welcome here. I love the open kitchen, and you are welcome to talk to the chefs. I am so happy I visited Luke's again after a long time.
