Western Omelette and Home Fries Potatoes
    Briana J.

Lack of customer service and bland food. The lady pictured literally put her finger up at me and said "I'm in the middle of something. I'm adding," when I asked her could I order. She literally was doing nothing. When I spoke she picked up her calculator, typed a few things, then came to me after proving she moves when she wants. The omelette meal I ordered was priced at $9.75ish. I added mushroom. After she clicked around on her handy dandy calculator and up-charged me for God knows what...my total came out to $13.31. No problem, had the food been amazing. But it wasn't. The omelette was very wet. It was completely bland. And they use those uncooked diced ham pieces. I was so disappointed. The potatoes were golden and cooked well. But once again no seasoning. They just threw the toast on top of the wet food. And the ambiance is not welcoming for all. You could tell they treat their regulars a different way than "outsiders". There's a lot of yelling information from waitress to waitress. The only person who was kind was a young lady with a neck tattoo. She was helpful. You can tell people at places like this have been getting away with their mediocre "ways" for decades so it's no use in giving them feedback. In their minds, they don't need "us" the customers because they've made it so long. It's not right. They should do better. And they should purchase some seasoning salt, adobe, garlic salt, onion powder, or SOMETHING!

Omelette with Hashbrowns and biscuits and sausage gravy in the distance

This is a "like" but not "love" the experience. Bigger on the inside than expected based on the parking situation. Incredibly friendly staff. Special call out to Donna. It's clean and comfortable. I chose the breakfast bar for today. Coffee is freshly ground from beans. These folks go through coffee on par with a Starbucks kiosk. Coffee is good. I had an omelette with everything minus the chef's hair. I suspect if I asked for it, Donna would have accommodated. In all, I felt like there was too much going on in the omelette. I should have gone with another option. I also wanted to try the biscuits and sausage gravy. I have a flavor profile in mind. Both the biscuit and gravy were disappointing. I'll be back to explore more items on the menu. But I honestly was hoping for both a better biscuit and gravy experience.

At first glance, this place looks a bit sketchy, but they have a great breakfast and house made sausage gravy. My husband, son, and I were in the area and we wanted breakfast, so we stopped in to grab a bite. It was our first time eating here and the service and food were both great. My husband started with coffee, my son had chocolate milk, and I had water. I splity breakfast with my son and we got the Country Kitchen 222 with pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage and I added a cup of fruit. Everything was cooked appropriately and the pancakes were so big that they took up the whole plate. My husband got the gravy dream omelette with grits and a biscuit. The house made sausage gravy had great flavor and paired well with the potato filled omelette. The grits were good. The biscuit was as tall as two biscuits stacked together. We had a good experience here and for the just under $30 before tax and top it was affordable. Rating from F to A+++, I give it an A++.

This is definitely a whole in the wall gem. They had turkey bacon nicely crisp and crunchy. Fench toast was cooked all the way through. Over hard eggs with a little butter salt and pepper. I was all set for my brunch. The staff was nice and felt like family. The decor was race car themed with classic car pictures and famous race car drivers.

I've passed this little hole-in-the wall strip mall establishment millions of times over the years and never bothered to stop in. My bad! I was running early to take my dad to an appointment and was looking for a breakfast spot. The first place I stopped at was closed so I went exploring. This is a local treasure that serves good meals cheap. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. I was seated at a table immediately upon entering and grabbed a menu off the server's counter. I was waited on quickly and ate a huge filling breakfast of two scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and grits in place of toast. My order was under $10! I will definitely be back and look forward to trying them out for lunch sometime.

We were in the area and needed breakfast. Stopped into the longwood country kitchen. The restaurant was full but we got 2 seats at the bar counter. We were greeted not too long after we sat. Started with coffee. I immediately knew I wanted to get corn beef hash breakfast with a side of pancake. Everything was good. It's your basic diner breakfast. Non expensive meal. The staff was great and friendly.

    The Gravy Dream Omelette
    Lisa M.

I love diners like this, and they hit all the right elements. Random sorta farmhouse decor and sassy signs on the walls, waitresses dressed appropriately but with their own flair, reasonable prices, great service, and no frills but delicious food. I judge breakfast places by a few staple foods and today my test was the country fried steak. For the price I was not expecting as big or as tender of a piece of meat as I got. It was about an 8" diameter steak covered in flavorful country gravy that wasn't too thick or too thin. The home fries were tender with a little crisp on the outside and the eggs were cooked perfectly over easy so my plate was swimming in runny yolk and gravy that I happily dipped up with the sourdough toast. My father had the Gravy Dream Omelette which was stuffed full of tastyness and accompanied by crunchy on top but tender inside hash browns and a fluffy griddled biscuit. All of that plus an iced tea, cup of coffee, and a side of gravy to go (couldn't finish the biscuit so now I d got breakfast tomorrow!) was only $20! Amazing value for the quality of food, attentive and friendly staff, down home atmosphere. I'll definitely be back for a comfort food fix!

    Fried flounder sandwich lunch

We stopped in here for lunch today on a whim. My husband said his fish sandwich was good. I ordered the corned beef hash which was tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. The home fries were a good size but unfortunately, I had a ton of black, charred bits from the grill that tasted obviously very burned and ruined a few bites. Not pictured is my son's omelette and biscuit. He enjoyed the omelette and we all tried the biscuit. It was a decent sized guy with very good texture and flavor! I think that is the best item on our table today. All in all, nothing to write home about, but prices were good and our waitress was very kind and attentive.

He was nice but appeared to need more training to be up to par for the price point. The decor was nice inside but the location does not give a good first impression and cheapens the experience. It is located in an older shopping plaza and is unkept. I think they are trying for a speakeasy vibe but it isn't being pulled off. The second time we went, we made a reservation to listen to their live music with some appetizers and a cocktail. It was spontaneous as we found ourselves child-free for the night at the last minute. Upon arrival we were told that 'we have a dress code and shorts are not allowed.' Mind you, the dress code says 'no gym shorts' and we didn't have on gym shorts or athletic wear. We weren't dressed up but were wearing decent outfits and nice shoes (no sandals of any kind). Needless to say, there will not be a third visit. Do not recommend.

But there is a cute neon sign that's lit and says "yes this is the place". Pretty funny. So first things first: the location is weird. However the atmosphere and decor inside is very well done. You open the door and are immediately greeted by the host/hostess. It's dark and moody. You turn to the right and suddenly you are in a very swanky environment. You forget where you parked in no time. The drinks: bottle of Tapestry, bees knees with tequila since they ran out of gin. They also ran out of St. Germaine liquor son only two rounds of putting on the fits, the fireside cinnamon sip, an old fashion and a espresso martini. They were all deliciously hand crafted and made to order.. The food: we were a group of 6 ladies and we ordered the Georgia peach salad, the tomato bisque (soup of the day) homemade bread (supposed to be focaccia but was actually French bread), salmon, cheese wheel pasta with shrimp, lobster linguine (I believe), filet and the cheese wheel with filet. For dessert: some molten chocolate (which burned my finger to no one's fault by my own as they did warn me) and the apple pie. The standouts: Georgia peach salad and tomato bisque, salmon & the cheese wheel pasta. As well as both desserts. Additional note: the service was great. The attention to detail to accommodate our coats and purses was thoughtful The cons: who charges $3 for a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese ? The chef is Italian and didn't think that the lobster one should have cheese on it. That's strange. Was it worth the hefty price tag - probably not Would I go again? Maybe for their happy hour but probably not for dinner.

I've had experiences at certain First Watch franchise locations that left me questioning not only the meal, but several of my life choices leading up to it. So when I walked into this location in the Fern Park/Casselberry (Altamonte Springs) area, I'll admit it... I came in cautiously optimistic at best. Thankfully, this visit reminded me why the chain became popular in the first place. Right away, the staff stood out for being personable and genuinely pleasant. Not the robotic "corporate friendly" where someone smiles while dead behind the eyes. Actual warm, attentive service that made the place feel welcoming. And here's something restaurant owners should probably frame on the wall because it's becoming weirdly rare these days: the food was cooked correctly and served hot. Hot. As in actually warm when it hit the table and not sitting under a heat lamp long enough to qualify for Social Security. I ordered the omelette, and it absolutely hit the spot. Comfort food done properly. Fluffy, flavorful, filling, and exactly what I wanted breakfast to be. My daughter ordered the steak and egg hash, and visually... let's just say this isn't a dish entering any beauty pageants. It kind of arrives looking like breakfast got into a small argument with itself. But one bite in and none of that mattered. It was rich, hearty, luscious, and cooked just right. The kind of dish where every bite feels indulgent enough that you briefly stop caring about cholesterol or responsibility. This location honestly felt dialed in. The kitchen was on point, the service was strong, and the overall experience reminded me that consistency is what separates a good restaurant visit from a forgettable one. Because of my mixed history with First Watch overall, I can't quite bring myself to throw five stars into the air like confetti... but this particular location absolutely earned four stars and deserves credit for getting it right.
