Food was very lack luster. Fish and chips had no flavor aside from the large amount of grease on it. Burger was very bland with no evident seasoning. Our waiter was the best part. My first burger for Burger Week was at Bubba's 33. My coworker is a burger purist and didn't want to try any of the fancy burgers and also wanted to stay in Indiana so this was the place she chose. It's a roadhouse type restaurant and it was my first visit. It's nothing special but provided good, solid food and service. We had cheese fries and bacon cheese burgers. Since we had fries, I opted for mashed potatoes with dinner which were actually real potatoes and a nice surprise. The fruit juice drinks hit the spot. read more

Bubba's is always happenin'! Always busy which is always a good sign. They offer call ahead seating, thankfully. We've been here a few times and the foods always been good. They're known for their burgers so that's obviously the go to! They have so many good specials through out the week that I couldn't even name them all. They have food specials that are great on the wallet and great drink specials also. Burgers, wings, salads, sandwiches, appetizers, and drinks. Great selection of great food. Always great service, also! We recently went on a day where they were celebrating the end of prohibition. So a burger and fries was only $3.33. Tall beers were the same price, trash can punch and LIT's also. 33¢ wings. Such a great deal. The only downside is getting there. Tried this place out for the first time during Burger Week 2019! We came on a Monday at lunchtime and this was going to be our first stamp - you don't open until 3pm. Off we went until the weekend. Sunday arrives and it's the last day of burger week. Do we go back to one of the favorites or try and go across the bridge again..... Wow we made the right decision by making this our last Burger stop! Valarie was our on top of it server! She has a great personality, very funny, and engaging. When we arrived the inside was popping and brunch was still being served. We decided on eating outside since we had the entire Covered patio to ourselves! We knew what we were getting and almost don't look at the menu! That would have been a huge mistake. Luckily Valarie suggested we check it out and suggested a drink. He changed up his usual craft beer order to a long island tea, and ended up getting 2. I normally don't drink and just get a water. They were out of mango margaritas but had strawberry so I went for it. With an added kicker of rum! Wow both were perfect!! We both got the burger and it came with fries or a sub of choice - we did tots and cole slaw. Everything was great. My son got the kids meal chicken tenders. The menu had so many things listed we wanted to try we have already planned another trip. Just use caution sitting outside my son did get stung by a bee/wasp. We decided to try this place since we really like Texas Roadhouse. We enjoyed all the food we tried. Between our family we had onion rings, fried pickles, burgers, fries and steak with baked potato. We had no complaints. The service was fast and our server was very attentive but not overbearing. Price was moderate. We will definitely return some time. read more

We came on Mother's Day after a long day at Churchill downs Believe it or not didn't have to wait for a table surprising since there were 7 of us in our group. The food was really good from the appetizers, burgers and sandwiches we all got. The service was very friendly and fast, our orders were taken quickly and kitchen did great timing getting our orders out and all correct. A few of us had beers and rest had sodas and the refills we didn't have to ask for like many times in other laces this busy. I'm not a huge fan of Indiana but Bubba's was a cool spot! I ordered the chicken avocado sandwich and it came with a good amount of french fries that were really crispy and my food was good! I'm giving three stars because the location of the place is super unfortunate/inconvenient and nothing was really surprising or exciting to me. Just another sports bar place to get wings and pizza or french fries! Passing thru town on our way home from vacation down south, spending the night at a nearby hotel. Came for dinner and were very impressed! This reminded us of Texas Roadhouse - the food is wonderful. While the service at TR is generally very good, at Bubba's it is excellent. Rebekah took great care of us. When we had one issue with one dish the manager even dropped by to ensure everything was resolved to our satisfaction. Came here on a Tuesday night. This business seemed to just recently open, very long wait. 1 hour to the dot based on estimate. This space can hold a lot of people. Tables and booths spacious. Sports bar feel, a lot of great TV's. Quite loud but manageable. I couldn't find free wifi. Service is very friendly and consistently checked up on our drinks and food. A++ Appetizer: Beer battered onion rings. Tasted good. A bit oily due to how crazy busy this place most likely is. Light and air'y. Came with ranch and bubba sauce. The bubba sauce was a bit smokey and thousand island looking. Drinks: Bubba Blue Lemonade was pretty good, not too sweet not too sour. Water tasted crisp. Entrees: Food came out quite fast. The strange thing was some of the items were kind of luke warm or cold. The taste overall was good. My burger and fries were hot. Poboy shrimp sandwich and broccoli 33 deluxe pizza Classic cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. Price was reasonable for this area. Bubba's doesn't fail from lack of trying and I absolutely understand why some would give it more stars. As I left though, it just didn't do much for me. Bubba's 33 is from the same folks that gave us Texas Roadhouse and follows a similar recipe: good service, large portions of middle of the road food, affordable prices and lots of stuff on the walls to distract and entertain you. Good luck figuring out how to get to the parking lot! Although the building is located RIGHT off the highway, you practically need a map to make all the turns to get to the service road that takes you in. Once you're there, parking is plentiful. I'll give it up to the servers. They were hustling and smiling every time I saw them. Our server kept our drinks full and us up to date on how our food was coming. Great job! The food was alright. I had a chicken sandwich when I should have gotten a burger. The rest of my party had nothing but praise for the beef, but my chicken was dry and fairly flavorless. The shoestring fries made it happen, though! Imagine the opposite of the word "sparse" and you will understand the decoration of the interior. It is like rock 'n roll Americana exploded inside and covered everything except the ridiculous number of TVs lining the top of the wall. Even the top of your table is covered with some type of theme. Even though this is somewhat of a chain restaurant their service and quality of food is excellent. I have not had anything bad on the menu. They have a great selection of burgers, pizza, wings, and more. Occasionally the wait is rather long. They have wall to wall TVs and maybe the most I've seen at any one restaurant. Dummy us ordered the salad with chicken tenders (it's a salad...what more can I add)...hubby ordered the Philly cheesesteak. He didn't complain. Looked like a large messy sandwich. He devoured it. Believe me if it was bad he would have told me. We started with some chicken nachos. We could have shared these with 2 more people. Hubby ordered a beer if the day. It was an IPA that had a citrusy aftertaste. I had a frozen sangria margarita. It was delicious and quite large. Bubbas has wall to wall TVs one of which was showing some vintage mtv videos and another was showing funny outtakes. The place was very loud when we visited. Lots of kids screaming and loud talking. I had 3 boys so I understand the challenges of dining out with kiddos. Just referencing for those who may be put off by this. Overall food was good. Came out at the correct temp, didn't gave to wait long for service. Beer was cold, everything was reasonably priced. I deducted one point for ease of access. Petty I know. Would I visit again? My wife and I went to Bubbas this past weekend, almost by chance as we had other dining options in mind. But as I was craving pizza my wife browsed pizza establishments on her phone and Bubbas came up as a suggestion. Bubbas? Seriously? For pizza? For the record, I have never been to Bubba's and just imagined it as a roadhouse kind of restaurant, which is not normally enticing to me. Nevertheless, with guarded optimism, we went inside and were rather quickly ushered to our table next to the bar. As a rule, I'm not a big fan of this kind of location but with the lights, TV sports, and laid-back vibe I realized it was kind of fun. The music was a bit loud but only because with our server wearing a mask it combined with thundering AC/DC vibrations to make it a bit hard to hear her. Because of Covid, we were asked to sit on the same side of the table; at first I wasn't thrilled with this seating arrangement but it worked out just fine, and I appreciate their cautionary methods. Speaking of our server, BRITTA, she was *excellent*. Please give this server lots of praise--she was quick, considerate, and very much on her game. She attended to us but did not smother us. I enthusiastically tipped her services as she earned every cent. Awesome! But what about dinner? Well, before I get to that, my coffee was great, and we were given ample time to consider our options. We declined an appetizer, this time, and instead ordered a pizza and a shrimp basket. My wife felt her shrimp was a little on the greasy side but I found it flavorful, although a little more crisp on the bite would be an improvement. But let me get to the MAIN thing--the pizza: Italian Margherita. Friends, I love pizza, and I shop around for the best. My brother is of Italian descent and was a chef and part owner of an authentic Italian restaurant in Old Louisville not that many years ago. I do not qualify as a connoisseur, but I AM judicious when it comes to pizza. My pizza arrived, hot off the plate, beautiful and entrancing. Britta brought me a generous cup of hot pepper flakes and with that I was ready for action. First bite: good, but still uncertain. Second bite: better, yes, better. But then... I got INTO the heart of this creation and was suddenly transported to a world of Sicilian Euphoria. I paused for a moment, in between bites, and was nearly given to tears. So delightful was the flavor on the palate that I just set my slice down for a moment to ponder the reality. What makes this pizza so great, from my experience at least, are two things: the firm but not overcooked crust, crispy but not overly crunchy, AND, more importantly, herbs that tasted as though they were picked in Bubba's garden behind the establishment. The tomatoes, wherever they hail from, tasted SUMMER-FRESH, and the sauce was earthy and invigorating. My one complaint, and it's not even really a complaint, is that the Mozz. cheese was thick and briefly a bit difficult to masticate, but this was not a distraction or a barrier to the overall culinary pleasure. I ate about half my lunch and then reheated the rest the next day. By then you might think the value would have declined a lot, correct? Well, while reheating is not perfect, the TASTE was still there, and once again I was in my "happy place" as I had been the day before. I have had a lot of pizzas around S. Indiana, and quite a few really decent ones. Having said that, at least as of Jan 2021, I have discovered the BEST pizza in these parts. YES, I said it, Bubbas 33 has THE best pizza on this side of the river, and maybe one of the best on BOTH SIDES! Again, Britta did great, both my wife and I had a good time, and we intend to come back. I am scoring Bubbas 33 as a 4/5 only because I want to try some of the other pizzas and hold my 5 back for one of the meatier ones--but this cheese and sauce offering was wonderful and I wholeheartedly recommend it, especially if you are less on the meat side of your pizza experience. My birthday is next month and I'm already planning on spending it there, if at all possible. My compliments to the excellent staff, kitchen, and servers. I'm impressed and plan to become a regular customer! One final note: the manager, on at least one or two occasions, checked on us, and this was a very nice touch. This is probably one of my favorite places. All the burgers in there that I've had are very good. Very juicy very tasty. The atmosphere is Fast and Loud and service is really well. Ask for Piper when you go she will treat you right. The restaurant is very clean and well ran. The only drawback to this restaurant is getting to it. You have to turn off Veteran's Parkway go down the ramp turn left on 131 then turn in like you're going to the hospital and make a left to get into Bubba 33. It is well worth going though. read more

This location just started a weekend brunch...so we thought we would try it. We were seated quickly when we arrived around 10:30. We were given complimentary cinnamon/sugar knots served with cream cheese dipping sauce. They told us they are new and they were trying to decide to keep them on the menu or not. We both agreed...they were a keeper! Then I ordered a mimosa (not huge) but only $2! For entrees we ordered the Not Chicken and waffles and the chicken sandwich. Both were large portions and very tasty! The French toast with chicken was sweet and salty and the sandwich was just salty but delicious. My favorite parts were the tater tots and gravy..I think next time I will try the biscuits and gravy. We don't usually come to chain restaurants often...but this was a good choice! My boyfriend and I would have enjoyed wings and salads but we spent the entire dining experience fighting flies and gnats. It's very unappetizing to see bugs flying around your food while trying to eat. I couldn't finish my food because the flies landed on it. My boyfriend was able to kill two of the gnats but still had flies and gnats everywhere at our booth and we were the closest table to the kitchen, which makes me think there are tons of bugs in the kitchen too. They have great service! Our wait wasn't too long at all, we came around 6:50 and got sat around 7:00 while the restaurant was packed. The burger alone is huge and fulfilling, the chicken nachos are good, and the onion rings are delicious (the seasoning is amazing). The manager came around to ask us how our meal went and our server was attentive. The booths are roomy and they have outside seating as well.
