We went here on a Tuesday afternoon around 5:30pm and were seated immediately. The decor had a wonderful honky-tonk vibe. For an appetizer, I ordered the Bubba-Lo shrimp with Bubba-Lo sauce. It was reminiscent of buffalo (hot sauce) shrimp which was exactly what I preferred. My husband ordered the chopped brisket tacos which was worth the visit alone. The catfish entree I ordered was good and I loved the hush puppies accompanied with the honey butter. For dessert, they didn't offer bread pudding but their butter toffee bunt cake made me forget about bread pudding. It was delicious, better than any bread pudding I've ever had. This place checked all the boxes for me and the portions were sizable. Highly recommended! read more

Bubba's has a nice atmosphere, waitress friendly and accommodating, food selections of large variety. However, wait time, after ordering food, was too long (45 minutes)!!! Ribs were good, catfish was FIRE, macaroni and cheese was cold, sweet potatoes casserole was good. Would visit once more to give another chance. read more

Brisket fries are amazing! Brisket and the sauces that come on that appetizer mix very well together. Waiting staff very nice and friendly. Looked to me that the BBQ part of the menu was keeps above the "fish camp" menu. Large TV screens and a good place to take a large group. read more

If your looking for slow service and if you want to see the manager roll her eyes when it starts getting busy... then by all means go here. Came in to town to visit some friends and this was the second chance to try this place. Needless to say it is definitely a no go for any future visits. Our male server was given three tables of 5 or more all at one time... a restaurant no no... He did his absolute best but was under cut by his fellow coworkers. Unfortunately his job was tanted by others.. If we had to only rate on food, it still wouldn't get any higher then 2 stars.. dry pulled pork, signature sauce for a sandwich was not even on it. Not too bad a place. Met one of my teammates from whom I haven't seen in over 20 years! Appetizers were good. I got the hush puppies and he got fried green tomatoes and both were great! Next came the entrees. He had the Po boy sandwich and I had all you can eat catfish. Both were good. My girl got shrimp. It tasted great. The only downside were the sides as they came in small containers you'd normally getting salad dressing in - way too much money for such a small order. I was denied a kids meal, it's a cheaper price for a smaller meal. I was not that hungry and was rudely denied my meal. Will not be returning back to this insane and greedy establishment. My friend and I came here for lunch. The place is super touristy and cute. It smells like a smoker inside and automatically made me feel like Christmas. Our server Myra was very nice. I ordered the clam chowder and it was delicious. I ordered a small house salad with grouper and it was good. The grouper wasn't very good but for $6.00 it was fine. My friend ordered the salmon salad and sent it back cause it was pathetic looking. She ended up getting the grouper fingers and they were excellent. I recommend them highly!! read more

I went there on 11/20. Walk in, and they took the name "smokehouse" too literal. It was extremely smoky in there. Hazy, eyes burning, 1980s high school bathroom smoky. I asked if it's supposed to be this smoky, and was told they had a problem earlier, but did what they had to do to get the meat out. Just got to wait for the smoke to dissipate. So we went in and hoped it would sorted. It didn't btw. As for our meal there. Brisket was so so. Ribs were bone dry, not a dry rub dry, the meat itself was dry, like they were under a heat lamp for too long. I never had ribs that dried out before. Smoked sausage. Just goto the food store and get whatever brand you like and fry or grill it. Baked beans, no better than what you can get out of a can. While I like canned baked beans, I kind of expected better. Mac and cheese was trash, not cheesy at all, very dry, hard and dried out on top. I'm guessing another heat lamp victim. Store bought Mac and cheese in a box is far better. Corn pudding was pretty good. Cole slaw was alright. Service was alright. Seemed like they were short staffed. Had to get up to get the server's attention. But that's because he was busy doing work and helping other customers. Not his fault, he was busy. Mission BBQ is far, far better. Not a chance I'll return here. I won't go back to any of the "Divine Dining group" restaurants again. Maybe they get by on suckering tourists in, but as a local, I'm done with them. read more

I had ordered a pulled pork platter with baked beans as a side. He brought my husband's food. We called him over after waiting for my food. He thought we were sharing my husband's catfish, which was an unshareable meal, all you can eat. I asked for the manager, explained the problem, second time this place has let me down, and left. First time here after they reopened as Bubbas Fish Camp. Wasn't impressed with the menu about 6 months ago but today I had a craving so I thought I'd try them out! The service from Lynn the bartender/server was beyond top shelf! Great personality and her menu knowledge was impressive! I've been a bartender for 30 years and knew exactly what to look for! I took both of her recommendations on the wings and the brisket grill cheese and both were off the charts! Wes the chef came out to talk to me about the wings and I asked if there were wings they could cook from scratch which is the only way they should be served and he said "absolutely!" They came out so plump, juicy and fresh cooked compared to restaurants who ruin their wings by par-cooking them. If you do that, which almost all do, you're ruining your food. Guess where I'm going to come and eat and spend my money? BUBBAS! The Ambiance after the remodeled is amazing! Great beer selection is incredible, 23 beers on tap! Whaaaaaaaaa! You have got to come here if you want the BEST WINGS in Myrtle Beach! Hands down I will go nowhere else to get my wings! Slow service, and sad food... they sat us at table fast but then we waited 1 hour after ordering our food, with no waiting service to refill our drinks, any food or not even a stop by asking if we are alive... to be fair other tables around us had normal service but our waiter was really bad. I never complain at restaurants but this time I had to get up and go ask the bar tender if he can go to the back find him and see if we ever get any food or refill our beer. When the food arrived he forgot my son food, so my 6yrs old sat there staring at grownups getting their food. Basic restaurant etiquette to serve kids food first!!! The ambiance and decor us nice, thats the only reason for 2 star. As far as the food, we ordered a $19 blackened fish taco, but it was very blend, had no flavor and was served with a small sad bowl of white rice... my husband ordered oyster poboy sandwich and it was okey, nothing special, oh and it came with no dressing with all sides in small plastic containers... read more

My husband and I were very disappointed with our dining experience. My husband ordered sliced beef brisket and it wasn't sliced. He was served scraped burnt ends. I ordered mussels cooked in wine sauce, but it tasted like it was cooked in plain boiled water. In addition, I had to go to urgent care and get transferred to the hospital with an alert reaction. I have never been alert to shellfish and I eat it almost daily. The mussels were cold and must have sat all day. The service was very slow it took forty minutes to receive our order. I am African American and I always like to see diversity represented in the places I visit, but the only African American working was cleaning tables. The food is fantastic. There are only a few drawbacks. The only brisket is chopped... it's good, but not like getting cut strips. I talked with the owner and he intends to have brisket on one night a week. The only other issue is that they had only been open for 6 days. There were still some growing pains. My family and I found Bubba's without much to go on other than it was close to our hotel, had a menu that matched all of us, and no wait to be seated. Everyone had a great meal and we've added it to our "list" for our next visit to Myrtle Beach! The fish dinner was great, kid's meals were a hit, and staff were all friendly and attentive. Wife and I just visited the new location in MB, across from Broadway on the Beach. Very pleased. This location has only been open for a short time, but you can tell that the management knows what they are doing. The location is bright, open and roomy. They even have comfortable outside seating. The food is reasonably priced, even being in a tourist area, and really good quality. My wife had the brisket grilled cheese, I had the blackened grouper platter. My wife raved about her sandwich from the first bite. So of course, being the loving husband that I am, I had to try it. It was really good. The brisket is moist, with a little bite to it. Awesome bread, and a large portion. My blackened grouper meal was very good. Nice fresh filet, that was flaky, tasty, and well seasoned. It was blackened, but not over done. Some places you order blackened and it's like they are trying to make you think you are in Louisiana. But it doesn't work. This location uses a decent amount of blackening spice and it works with the flavor of the fresh fish, not over power it. Our sides were fries and coleslaw. Again, both very good. Pleased that they use the larger Crinkle cut fries. And when you go, try the fried pickles. Our server was Kristen, man I hope I got that right. She was attentive, pleasant, and just damn good at her job. We will ask for her by name when we return. Yes, even though we live in the area, and have thousands of eateries to choose from, we will be returning to Bubba Fishcamp and Smokehouse in Myrtle Beach. read more

But she loved everything that they had her at the Bubba's, all of the sides were great and so tasty; coleslaw, baked beans, fried okra, sweet potato fries, hush puppies were all great. She is typically picky but didn't complain once!! We loved the BBQ ribs and brisket. Also trying the Flounder, Grouper, All you can eat catfish!! We honestly didn't eat something we didn't like. The waitress was so helpful and helped us navigate the menu. Giving great recommendations and telling us the usual. This was a disappointment. The ambience is fun and colorful and our server was friendly but the food is mediocre. We went for lunch and it was not busy at all. I ordered a half chicken platter. It was not smokey at all - it was very small pieces and tasted grilled and dry. The hush puppies were tough. The baked beans were good but there were hardly any beans in the container of bean juice. My husband didn't even get any beans served on his brisket platter. And for a place known for brisket, his was not what he expected . He got a huge portion, but it didn't taste smoky. Maybe the meat isn't done smoking at lunch?? If so, tell people that! The calamari, catfish, and oysters were good. So stick to the seafood here! read more

We' e been here a few times and have been quite happy with all aspects. The decor is garage doors, tv's that aren't all on sports channels (Halleluja!) Some of the channels are showing under the ocean reels. frankly I love it!My husband and I have been married for over 30 years so there are times after spending 24/7 with a person when we don't have much to say it's nice to watch the fish. Very relaxing. Night before last my husband got the catfish (cooked extra) and he was very impressed with how meaty and large the fillets were. The French fries were way too salty for me and my husband who really likes salt even thought they were too salty. The manager that I spoke with today was just as nice as could be. Now. About our waiter. His name is Cooper and I'd love to have him be my waiter at any restaurant I would go to. He was personable, had nice manners. The restaurant wasn't slammed and this young man was very attentive. As someone who waited tables I understand being very busy but I think Cooper will be good then as well. Average food. Pretty cool sports pub atmosphere for the tourists but nothing special as far as the food is concerned. The server told me the grouper was frozen, the flounder was not local, but the catfish was popular. I did notice they promote the crab cakes as "homemade". Also, one of my local buds told me their barbecue was good but I got stuck here for a late dinner in Feb so choices were limited in the off-season. I tried the flounder sandwich. It was decent and filling but nothing to brag about. Good service however. Try Mr.Fish if you want to eat where the locals prefer. When we arrived we, were told that there was a 30 minute way, so we were given menus and gave the hostess (Haley) the name of one of the ladies in our party. A couple of other families came in after us but were seated before us. We addressed the matter and the hostess acted as we didn't give her our name. We sat in front of her for 30 minutes and she had a clear vision of us. She could have easily asked us our name if she didn't get it, as we waited 30 minutes. She finally seated us by tossing the menus on the table. The saving grace was our beautiful and wonderful waitress Lacy. Her service was unmatched! She was attentive and kind. She relayed our concerns to her manager, who was equally attentive and accommodating with us. The food was absolutely delicious! Everything was hot and the catfish was the best I've had in a long while. I'm thankful that Lacy and her manager save the evening. read more
