It is the 1st time I have been here. I'm exhausted my son-in-law passed away this month. I decided that I couldn't even do the laundry myself right now so I came here to drop it off . I thought I would save at least a little bit of little bit of energy by using this service. I was greeted by the woman who I assumed does the washing. She wasn't super friendly and she told me that I could park on the side and bring my things in but there was a $25 minimum. OK fine. I went to get my stuff and when I got back there were 2 men there a guy was trying to pick up his laundry and and they had completely mixed it up with somebody else's laundry so he was trying to figure it out. ‍ I'm so exhausted I couldn't even wait because I just needed to be able to drop something off and let it be done by someone else at this point and it seems so problematic that I just gave up.. They don't seem really eager to have new business and I'm wondering how they keep their business if they mix up peoples laundry. I'm bewildered and disappointed. So I don't know... Way back in pre Covid times, Bubble Beach Laundry had coin-operated machines that were easy to use and very convenient for those of us who live in the neighborhood. Post Covid, they're strictly a 24-hr turnaround laundry service. Which I'd be happy to give a try, if only the staff were friendlier. The last couple interactions I had were very underwhelming and left me convinced that BBL wouldn't know customer service if it hit them on the a$!. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I don't know what is going on at this place. I brought 4 washable rugs in for cleaning WEEKS ago. I live down the street. I was told that the staff needed to contact the manager for pricing on washing the rugs before cleaning them. They said they would call me back the same day. I don't hear from them at all that day. I call and no update. So I call the next day and the person on the phone tells me they washed the rugs, but they BURNED my nearly new 700 dollar washable rug from Lorena canals. They told me they have an in house dry cleaner that they think might be able to fix it so they are sending it to the the dry cleaner to see what he can do. It has been MANY WEEKS and I have not received ONE call regarding my expensive rug. NOT ONE. It is winter and my feet are cold at home. I have called and even walked in numerous times to find out what the hell (excuse my language ) is going on. No answers !!! They say that the manager only comes after 3 but with my job it is very difficult to come at that time. I will be contacting the owner Zev who has commented below to discuss this matter . I am an attorney and I will not stand for this kind of consumer treatment. Thanks for causing me headache while I already have a lot going on personally for my right now, including taking care of my brother with mental illness and a sprained ankle . I originally discovered bubble Beach in 2016 when I lived somewhere without a washer, dryer facilities, so I needed to have a place that I felt was clean and safe to do my laundry. Then I discovered the fluff and fold bubble beach club and it was a total game changer! The women that work there are truly amazing and I consider them friends. It was truly heartbreaking to lose Sandra last year as she along with Araceli, Rosa, Dulce and Hilda always went above and beyond to make sure that my laundry is always done immaculately. I appreciate them so much. The pick-up and delivery service is usually good. However the returning of your personal belongings is where they appear to be failing. The past three orders my personal belongings, and the very expensive hand tailored items clothing have started to go missing from each order with no follow-up unless I call several times, and then there's zero accountability. Last week it was an African print Ankara head wrap that's a value of $60 which Yaron provided a credit for. Not even 5 days later my Ankara print African jogger pants I purchased on a trip to South Africa was picked up on Sunday 8/16 and not returned with my bag on 8/17, and the manager and staff have been dodging my calls and emails. Small businesses can only survive due to customers and accountability; I'm pulling my dollars from this business as they refuse to be accountable for ensuring my property is returned to me which is the service we pay for. The business owner Yaron followed-up and contacted me on 9/10 stating that he had asked all of his customers if my personal belongings were in their bags, but of course they were not. He then proceeds to offer to reimburse my credit card - issue with him being able to do that. Two days later, he offers to reimburse me the $128.55 for my stolen pants through Venmo or PayPal - but then conveniently realizes he doesn't have a business account on either after I've provided my accounts for efficiency to reimburse me. Then offers to provide me with a check - that was 6 days ago and still counting... So much for businesses being accountable for their mistakes when your property is stolen by their employees, and then passively-aggressively want to know why you've put them on blast in their reviews. Perhaps the question is why is your customer service and accountability lacking, and you choose to gaslight as opposed to taking responsibility and ensuring the customer you understand why they are displeased with your response to the issue. This place saved my sanity when my washer and dryer stopped working! I was right in the middle of a very hectic period of life and my dryer had been on it's last legs but then the washer stopped suddenly. I knew it would take a me a few weeks to get them replaced and I could not handle (really, I was freaking out at having so much on my plate) the laundry accumulating and having to go to the laundromat. I used the easy online ordering system, placed my order, got a few questions answered and my laundry was picked up the next day and delivered, clean and folded, back to me the day after that. I was pleasantly surprised by the price! The work was done well (neatly folded, socks matched, organized well and returned to me in a sturdy canvas duffel bag). The pickup and delivery are easy to schedule and easy to understand. They communicate well through text. I think I never thought to use the service because it seemed complicated to me, but it is not. Once you login, you can see a menu of services with clear pricing (wash and fold is paid by the pound, weighed after it is folded). On my second order, I added some dry cleaning that I had been meaning to get done for months and like magic it was delivered back to me with my clean laundry! Was very excited to use this service. 2 stars because my stuff came back on time. But the 4 hang dry items I sent arrived very, very damp and one is still completely wet. I know from washing those items myself and how wet they are that there is no way they were washed more than a few hours before delivery, and I had 48 turn around time from pick up. I can't even put away the wet items, so now they are laid out in my apartment when the whole point of splurging on the luxury of a laundry service is to relieve the clutter and chore. Items also still have (very easy to get out) stains, so while everything smells amazing, I would have been better off doing the laundry myself because the stains have now set. Huge bummer, won't be using them again. The search continues. read more

The staff are rude, disrespectful and greedy. They watched us walk into collect our stuff from the washer; they deliberately pulled all our stuff out not caring what hit the ground and stuffed it in a basket. Their reason was there were people waiting, but the place is empty. They have a drop and go service, which they over book; they will move regular patrons out of their way to snag washers or dryers from paying customers. Half their machines aren't operational, or they conveniently don't take coin so you have to use a card. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE - THE STAFF IS ONLY OUT FOR THEMSELVES NOT THEIR CUSTOMERS. read more

I loved this service until I asked an innocent question then the owner became very nasty & belligerent.

In the six months I've been using this service, I have had brand new clothing missing and the hang dry items that were labeled and taped shut with shipping tape we're also put in the dryer. I had asked to speak with a manager and they told me that someone would get back with me, that never happened. Then they tried to blame the delivery guy who picks up the laundry and delivers it. They do not take responsibility for their own actions. I gave them three chances. I have had to re-purchase new items that were ruined and or missing completely. Customer service is horrible!!!!! If you want to keep your clothes and not let them get ruined, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Because they won't replace anything or pay for what they ruin!! They will just try to blame it on the delivery guy, or say you didn't give us that item or whatever. 23 pairs of underwear Gone. ! Brand new pairs of workout pants Gone? Missing. Hmmmm. When I used to crash at my boyfriend's beach shack while I was in town from SF, I would drag our laundry over to Bubble Beach for an adventure. See, we would usually just drop it off and let them fluff-n-fold, til one day we noticed the proprietess wearing one of his shirts. It wasn't some Old Navy, everyone's-got-it tee. He had made it. Ehn, whatever. The real fun came when you did your own laundry. I would stake out the high capacity machines to get it all done with a quickness. On my favorite day, this lady comes in with her 10-year-old daughter. Little's dragging the biggest stuffed rabbit I've ever seen. They enlist my help to shove this beast in the ginormo washer. Wanting to see this happen, I comply. They git 'er loaded up and dump in a box of suds but bolt when the machine starts overflowing with foam and rocking around. Plus I have a pic. Hi-larious. Don't ever, ever come here to do laundry yourself. The only thing this place has going for itself is location. I can't speak for the fluff & fold service, however, the number of broken machines makes doing your own laundry a pain. And they have been broken for weeks. I stopped coming here about two months ago but decided to give it another try today. Bad idea. Many of the dryers have strange temperature characteristics, either too hot or too cold. I lost my white sheets to a dryer that burned them while set to 'low.' The front loading washers seem to have a mind of their own and work to destroy your clothing (when they work). When I was at Bubble Beach today there were 8 machines (washers & dryers) that were out of service. The ATM, vending machine & two of the change dispensers were also out of service. Especially considering the price of the machines, there shouldn't be so many that don't work. Avoid if possible. read more

This is the first time I've ever had to stand around and wait for a dryer at a commercial laundry place, an inconvenience more common in college and apartment facilities. How to assign blame isn't a completely easy question, since they can't be responsible for someone showing up and occupying five dryers and leaving items after the closing time. But the usage of dryers for both the coin-op and laundry service operations is a risk factor, and having three broken dryers out of around 16 also affects the odds. On the bright side, it was clean and after I eventually got to use the dryers they worked well. read more

Bubble Beach always comes to my rescue when I am in a pickle. I only use their fluff and fold service. The ladies are always very friendly and you get a free high-quality laundry bag on your first visit. The hang all my dresses, and fold all my pajamas....and they even fold my thongs! LOL.
