The hours are great. That is all I can say! My sweater came back with more lint balls than when I dropped it off. My white blouse came back wrinkled-was it really ironed?! Though I pointed this out to the clerk, I was informed that once the clothes leave that the cleaners have no more responsibility. Like I added lint balls to my sweater, one by one! After my previous two reviews, management reached out directly and resolved the situation. They reimbursed me in full for the lost shirts and also provided a cleaning credit as a goodwill gesture. The initial handling of the situation was frustrating and took far longer than it should have. Don't go here unless you want your clothes DAMAGED (see pics attached). This is my first time going here and I'll never go again. I came here to get a dress dry cleaned for a friend's wedding...and I didn't realize it was RIPPED at the bottom until I came home to try it on with my new shoes. WHAT KIND OF DRY CLEANING BUSINESS RIPS A GARMENT WITHOUT LETTING THE CUSTOMER KNOW??? Yes, mistakes happen, but it's completely dishonest for a business not to disclose that to the customer at pick up. When I called them to let them know, this guy named RAUL was completely dismissive about it and gave me a negative attitude. Instead of saying "I'm sorry to hear that, can you bring it in so we can take a closer look?" he said "idk what dress your talking about...take it up with the owner." WTF Raul, really?! That's your response?! Okay...BET. I will 100% take it up with the owner. I then had to practically BEG Raul to give me the information I needed after that. And because he was trying to rush me off the phone, I had to quickly word vomit a thousand questions like, "what days is the owner in?" and "what time is he usually there?" and "can you let him know I'm coming in next Tuesday to see him?". Raul didn't give AF about my dress, and he made a simple conversation MUCH harder than it needed to be for no damn reason. The worst part is not that I now have to attend a wedding wearing a ripped dress...but the fact that this dress is rare and irreplaceable. I can't even find the dress resold anywhere in my size because it was part of a small capsule collection from a London-based designer. IN SUMMARY: the dry cleaning quality is terrible here and their customer service sucks even more. If I could leave negative stars I would. read more

My brother trusts T J's ONLY with his casual, as well as business attire. And...he is picky as hell!! Would you believe they even dry cleaned a stuffed TEDDY BEAR for me? I brought my favorite dress to be dry cleaned and they destroyed it. The front of the dress was lined with feathers and I specifically asked for them to be careful. If it couldn't be done that's fine I would just take it elsewhere. They said they could do it. I picked up my dress and upon looking at it all the feathers are missing and it smells awful. Those feathers were fully on there when I brought it in. The photos are what it looked like when I bought it and what they look like now. So sad and so disappointed read more

Awesome Cleaners and Tailoring! After much searching on Yelp I picked TJ Cleaners. I just did my first pick up. Everything was great. I also took a dress in to be shortened and that came out great too. They have a little booth you can change into what you want tailored so they can mark it. Great! The price was great too! The people that work there are super nice as well. Everything is very efficient. Know before you go.... Even though their address is on Santa Monica Blvd. The store front faces the little side street (Chelsea/Park) not Santa Monica Blvd. so don't look for their awning. The parking lot is perpendicular to Santa Monica Blvd. read more

Great choice for a dry cleaner! I brought a skirt in to be dry cleaned, which was covered in dog hair. It cost just under $4 to clean and they had it ready for me within 3 days just before the Thanksgiving holiday. I also brought in a backpack with a broken plastic zipper. They were able to fix it within the same 3-day timeframe and it only cost $6.50. The service here is quick, and the staff is kind and professional, unlike the dry cleaners around the corner that shares the CVS parking lot. There is a parking lot they share with the laundromat next door, and they have a couple of designated spots for your ease of parking. There are also metered spots available on the street. read more

I honestly don't know where to begin I have had so many issues with them but since they were nice I kept stupidly kept giving them chances however I will not be returning! I am warning you if you choose to go here you will never get the clothes back you as they are constantly losing them as well as giving you other peoples clothing. The tailoring is terrible will always be screwed up additionally if they decide they can't tailor your item after already agreeing they won't call you prior they just tell you when you show up on the day you think it's ready for pIck up And speaking of pick up NOTHING is ever ready on time! Surprised by the mixed reviews for TJ cleaners. I have been going to them for 2 years for dry cleaning needs and have been very pleased. In addition to great pricing they have always gotten stains out of clothing for me. I always use the red tape on the counter to mark off where I have stains so maybe that is how they have looked over other customers' stains in the past? But i have had zero issues with smell/stains etc. Albert is always super pleasant and friendly too. read more

I've gone here for nearly 20 years. In all that time, I'd say 99% of everything that's gone in has come back just fine. Over the years I have given TJ Cleaners some pricey and more delicate items with mixed results. My coda with TJ Cleaners is only the durable stuff (regular pants, shirts, sweaters, etc). Anything that needs any type of custom care doesn't come here. The one item they totally ruined, I was reimbursed for by their dry cleaner after a ton of follow-up on my part. It's a decent place for everyday clothes, and the alterations are solid and cost-effective. Anything fancy needs to go to a fancy-clothes dry cleaner where they really do understand fabrics and how to carefully clean them. TJ Cleaners seems to send all the work elsewhere, and it seems like it all gets done in a dry cleaning/laundry factory which is a-ok for the everyday stuff, but not the good stuff needing more expert and specialized treatment. read more

Horrible service. I brought my clothes in to get cleaned. It came back with an old clothes smell. They denied that it was them that made the clothes smell which I know in fact they did 1. Because they didn't smell like that when I brought them in 2. They smelled old like they were shoved somewhere for weeks/years and I wear these shirts and jackets often. I requested them to reclean it which they did. And still the smell was still apparent. I had to pay otherwise they wouldn't give me my clothes. So I immediately took it somewhere else. Guess what? No more smell! I called numerous times they are now refusing to answer my calls or call me back. I left 3 voicemails KINDLY requesting them to refund me for the bad service and I told them I will show proof that I had to take it elsewhere to have them remove whatever smell/residue they left on my clothes. They refuse to call me back or refund me. Please don't waste your time and money here. read more

I have been a customer of TJ's since 2001 and they have always been accommodating to us. I am in the car business across the street and if we needed something rushed, they are always there. The person who left the review about the laundry mat, is mis-informed as the laundry mat and the cleaners are 2 separate business's and should not be confused as the same business. I heart this place. Let me tell you why - I spilled coffee on a beloved silk dress. Whoops! I took my dress to "another" cleaner in Santa Monica, thinking that that will do the trick. Sadly, when I got my dress back, it was not cleaned. I thought the dress was ruined, until I stumbled upon this place on laundry day (I do my laundry in the laundromat next door). I thought that I would try it again! So I took them the dress, and showed them the stain. Days later, I went back for the dress and it was perfect! I now take my dry cleaning and alterations here. This place is cheap but bringing your stuff here is always a gamble. Used to think this place was solid but then had awful experiences. First, I brought a bridesmaid dress here and it was ruined- the dress was literally tainted and had random grease on it. Moreover it didn't even appear pressed. Luckily was able to find a different cleaners to fix the mess but this place gave me a hard time and insisted the NEW dress had come that way. After that horrid experience I figured the place was better suited for simpler tasks like work shirts. All was going well but the latest batch of NEW shirts i picked up ALL came back REEKING of Indian food... and i didn't eat Indian food in those shirts... I wore them once while on vacation in Japan. Don't get me wrong, i love Indian food, but it's def not a great scent to have imbued in your work shirts. read more

I would give TJ Cleaners -0- stars if I could. I picked up my dry cleaning today and half of the order smelled like dried paint or some other acrid fume. When I asked why the clothing smelled horribly, the man behind the counter stated "well, it's dry cleaned." W O W. I responded saying that I've had my clothing dry cleaned for many many years and have never experienced anything like this. If it weren't for the fact that I had to travel out of town today, I would have demanded my clothes be re-cleaned. I now realize I can't even wear these pieces because of the awful scent. It literally makes me nauseous. Awful smell left on the clothing, poor poor poor customer service. They are totally automated, so when you walk in and give them your garments and phone number they can quickly print up a receipt and BAM you're on your way. Also, if your receipt is lost they can do a lookup by phone number. (Which happens WAY more than it should.) Once when I was doing a drop off, they mentioned that some of my hubby's shirts were ready. Surprise! Saved him an extra trip. They have also done minor repairs on buttons and tears, etc., which has been great and really convenient! On top of all that they are natural, inexpensive without using coupons and the parking is great! read more

Love our corner dry cleaner. My shirt stains come out on the first try almost every time and the shirts are neatly ironed and can be worn right off the hangar. I left my last dry cleaners because I'd have to iron my shirt much too often after it was dry cleaned or where it with sharp creases. They also do alterations which always come out great. Albert who I interact with most is the nicest guy too. You won't be disappointed. read more

Best value dry cleaners on the westside! Albert has trouble removing tough stains on occasion (and another cleaner was able to remove them), but you can't beat his prices or service for regular sweaty/smelly laundry and dry cleaning. He charges 1/2 as much as every other cleaners for laundry ($1.60/shirt) and dry cleaning ($4/blouse). Everything comes back pressed neatly, looking good, and smelling clean. I took several items in for cleaning after reading positive reviews, and they managed to (1) give me back a Karen Millen formal dress with additional marks on it and signs of fading, and (2) damage a Rebecca Taylor silk shirt irreparably. I've been going to T.J Cleaners for over 10 years and love my neighborhood dry cleaner. They are non toxic and not overly priced for that service. I can get my clothes the following day, not a problem, and in 10 years, they have only lost one top (which they paid for). After being a loyal customer for 10 years I was so shocked when I took two designer dresses to be cleaned and after two cleanings they returned them to me with dried spot remover on one and the other was torn and wet. I asked for a refund as they charged me $15 when I first went to pick them up and they were not clean. They refused and yelled at me to leave the store.
