Bubble Tea Café was open on Fourth of July, thankfully, so we stopped by for boba after lunch. The interior is your typical 2000s coffee shop vibe with a few tables and chairs to sit in. I got the black milk tea with pearls (30% sugar and no ice). The pearls are smaller than what I'm used to and had a nice, bouncy texture. I don't think they were soaked in sugar or honey because they didn't have any flavor. 30% sugar was surprisingly not too sweet and I think I could have benefited from 50% sugar here. The cups that our drinks came in were super cute. Overall, we enjoyed our time here!

This boba spot is so cute. Great customer service and so generous with the servings!! The tapioca is perfectly cooked. My favorite boba spot in the DMV.

Thus is a cute little family business that has a variety of boba tea options as well as other snacks and treats you can enjoy alone or with the boba tea. The owner is really sweet, it doesn't take super long for your order to arrive because it's usually not overpacked, and the tea portion size is very generous. Love stopping by here when I'm in the area.

Delighted to stop into Bubble Tea Cafe, we don't love the overly sweet chain stores, so this was a pleasant surprise. Very good bubble tea - not too sweet, super chewy boba, tastes like it's supposed to, nice lady! We'll be back!

I went here at noon as I was out running some errands. We picked up some boba on our way back home. This place was a small store and had many different options. The sizes they have are huge and they give a lot of boba. I got taro milk tea and it was good. The honeydew milk tea was okay but way too sweet for my liking. Taro tasted like regular tea and not that much sugar which was good. The lady serving the drink was nice.

Very friendly and helpful employee greeted us and was able to customize our boba tea to be caffeine free for my daughter. Lots of flavor options. Drink came out quickly and was delicious.

Surprised this place is never busy. It's been a good minute since we've had bubble tea here. However, they're the only bubble tea place who has honeydew milk tea! No lines and they're very quick to make our order. Definitely have to start going back here often!

Great tasting Smoothie and Milkshake every time. I always get the large size 32 oz. Excellent value for the amount you get. Same lady makes my drink, so the quality is always consistent. I like to try to mix different flavors. You can mix up to 3 and they have a lot to choose from.

Ask the Community - Bubble Tea Café

Do they have a nondairy milk (like almond or oat) substitute option?

Yes, we have soy, coconut, and almond milk.

Does anyone know if they are open for take out or deliveries?

We are currently open for delivery via Postmates and for take-out.

Is Bubble Tea Café under new management? The usual couple I've seen working here are out of the country and the staff working there made no mention if or when they are coming back.

I had similar experience as Susan G. above. One of the main reasons I frequented Bubbletea Cafe was because of Mei and David. Besides having the best, and I really mean best, bubble tea in the area, they were the kindest and cutest little couple.…

The Blackberry Pistachio Croissant was flaky and full of a sweet-tart house made blackberry compote and rich pistachio frangipane. For the hot tea, I got Island Mango just on the description - sweet bits of mango, pineapple, orange, safflower & hibiscus. It was served as decaf. Once I let it cool, it had a citrus taste, but not sweet. I am still glad to have tried it and did not have to wait long for the order. Within a block of leaving the business, while holding the hot cup with one hand (the sleeve only helped a little), some of the hot tea spilled on me suddenly (I now have a burned scar on my knuckle). I don't know if the cover was on right, or if my movements made the top come off. I couldn't blame anyone. I did go back and had them replace the top since the other fell on the ground outside. When they say "hot" tea, they are not lying. Moving forward, no more hot drinks for me.

When we visited the first time it was very busy - on a Wednesday afternoon. No one is working and everyone is out drinking coffee? LOL! All the pastries are in the middle cases, mostly sweet ones on one side and savoy on the other. The price was very reasonable, unless you get the few selective croissants with special ingredients, such as the pistachio one we tried. The highlight is the latte. These days when you go to a cafe they give you a paper cup regardless if you are dining in with no latte art. We got the cute cup with lovely art. This along deserves 4.5 stars. The pastry were just OK if you ask me. You are able to heat it up yourself with the little toaster by the counter, but you feel rushed as there are others standing around waiting to heat up theirs, or want to get water which is right next to the toaster. overall it was a cute little place, I think it was owned by Korean as it give me a very korean cafe vibe.. LOL. If we ever go back to Maryland and stay near by we would re-visit.

Some seatings were comfy (the ones in the back) and the others was a bit hard. Most of the pastries are in the middle with sweet ones on one side and savoys on the other. The price was really reasonable. I saw so many savoy ones I would love to try if I ever visit at BF time. I saw they have Cronut (Croissant and Donut in one). I had had Cronut in Vegas (at the Paris Hotel), but the ones here looked a little different so I wanted to try. Mistake. It was extremely greasy. The oil soaked through the paper plate and I had to squeeze the pieces I cut with napkins to get as much oil out as possible. I would give it a 2 star, it would have been good if not so oily. The egg tarts on the other hand deserved a 5 star. Love it. The latte tasted fine, but it took them a while to make it (almost 10 mins) and served in the normal paper cup, I was hoping for a nice latte art since it took so long. Overall it is a wonderful place to sit around and enjoy some quiet time, just don't get the cronut unless they cut down on the oil...

The tofu steam bun -- easily my favorite lunch item in the area -- really didn't work. The interior of the restaurant seemed like a good meeting/date spot. Although they had Wifi, I wouldn't call this a great place to come and study or get work done, although I saw people doing that. I've had the Vietnamese coffee twice, the first time was great, the second time was just okay. Food items are very unique, so much so I didn't like some of them but I still enjoyed the experience. Try something that sounds weird, it's half the fun of coming in here. CONS * Allergies - it wasn't clear what all everything was made with so if you're trying to avoid gluten or peanuts or eggs, I didn't see much on ingredients. I know for some people that's a red flag. * The tea. We just thought it was above average but not amazing. I mean its right in the name, come on. * Collecting items - you gotta look for the little trays and the salad tongs. That's what you use to grab stuff out of the cases. I know for most people that was super obvious but it wasn't for me. * Summertime note: during the hotter months I've noticed they seem to have some issues with keeping things cool.
