When I do, it's mostly ordering the cooked food rather than raw stuff. However, I was craving sashimi and sushi so bad that I decided to step into this restaurant one day last week. This is actually my second time here. First time being years ago when they first opened. Honestly, I still remember getting a few salmon/tuna hand rolls and was pleasantly surprised. Therefore, I may not have been expecting a blow my mind type of meal, but I certainly thought it would be fresh. Well, I was right, it was fresh. More importantly, it was overall quite tasty. It starts with the rice, which was warm and glutinous. I thought the house soy might have been overpowering, but it was a good sauce and unified all the flavors in the bowl. If you look at the picture of my ordering sheet, you can see that I ordered a ton of stuff. I paid extra for two more ptlroteins (eel & tamago), along with extra toppings (avocado and ikura). By rhe time I was done, my bowl was $29, but I felt it was a good deal. In the end, I know poke bowls will never be my first choice. However, what I learned is that I would definitely come back again when I'm desperate for some raw fish and rice.

Generally the slices are nice and thick and there's plenty of rice, but when I ordered this as take out, they gave me much less rice which I didn't expect. I'd also say that they're happy hour is very generous and they have a decent variety of drinks like plum wine and beers. This place can get very busy and it can be difficult to flag down staff. It would be nice if they had one of those buzzing buttons that you could use to call the staff. Overall, still my favorite place to eat at in person. Vibe is casual and looks like there's a lot of repeat customers which is good

My wife had heard good things and we had been craving sushi for a while, so we took a stroll over and gave it a shot. I went with my usual order -- a spider roll and spicy tuna -- and both were solid. I tried a third roll as well but honestly cannot remember what it was, and it did not leave much of an impression either way. The first two though were good enough to bring me back. The highlight of the visit was honestly our server. She was cool, spunky, and had a great sense of humor. We ended up laughing and joking around with her throughout the meal, which added a lot to the overall experience. Pleasant visit all around. We will be back.

They often don't read the order instructions carefully. As of my latest order, they didn't listen to the order instructions again. When I'd called, the staff member seemed nice about it and apologized, but apparently they "charge extra" and don't often do hand rolls without rice. Very common in all other restaurants I've been to. Not here. I've ordered sushi from dozens of places over the last few years and this is the first time I've ever heard these things in my life. I wouldn't order from here again. I disregard restaurants that not only don't read order instructions but go out of their way to charge for every little thing. Don't get me wrong: I'm happy to pay for a good meal and service, but the little needles acts like extra charges or not bringing it correctly make me not want to be a repeat customer. Their food was definitely good, but generally not worth the price. I feel like they're best for the dine-in experience. It's nice inside, and I can tell they have good quality food, at least this time; but that doesn't offset the poor experience from the few times I've ordered for delivery.

We had a great, GREAT server named Maggie Chen, whose name I am mentioning here due to the fact she was able to set us up with a free desert for a kind (and fair!) review. So here is my (updated) review: - The rolls we ordered were tasty and fresh. (For me, the Rapunzel Roll SLAPS. I ordered the same one - unknowingly - both times I have been here!) - We shared the Wagyu dumplings and the Shrimp shumai and they were honestly SOOOO GOOD. Finger-licking good!! - We also shared then chicken lo mein - also delicious and a big portion (there were some leftovers) - The staff is always kind and very friendly. Again, Maggie was really sweet, accommodating, took pictures for us and of course helped sing the HBD song which never not embarrasses me ever. darn. time. The ambiance is also always very chill, but a hit higher scale, with its beautifully colored mosaic-like rounded booths and a big, full bar, too. Knowing Mito is so good now and so close to my house can be a bit of a problem. I may become a regular but I guess that'd be a good thing for the business, HA. Thanks Mito for a special birthday dinner! Here's to more to come.
