Chicken laksa. More like curry noodle than laksa.
Carolyn L.

I usually have the customized soup noodle at Bubble Waffle, but decided to have the Hainanese chicken dish instead. I decided to try the laksa version instead of the rice. The chicken was good, tender and moist. The laksa was good too, if you are not expecting the laksa gravy from Singapore. Here (and most places in Vancouver), the laksa is more like a curry gravy soup thing. It lacks the spices and most importantly the laksa leaves garnish which give more flavor to the dish. Still good though. I just have to remember laksa = curry here. I added the bubble waffle which was nicely done. It went very well with the laksa. I dipped it into the gravy like you do roti. You get a mix of sweet and salty and slight spiciness to it. I am glad this place is here in the strip mall, especially if you want some HK cafe type of food.

I really always get their laksa here you really can't go wrong with the different dishes here. Out of all the locations in Richmond the one located in ironwood has hands down the most impressive laksa soup base. * Hainanese chicken laksa ($11.98) ~ I always get it with rice noodles as it's the only way! The soup base is rich and creamy very good with the hainanese chicken and it's so good let's just say I drink the soup! The chicken is always boneless and silky. Nicely cooked and juicy too! * Hainanese chicken rice ($11.68) ~ their chicken rice is good too best part also boneless! The oil rice is so good and delicious and that silky soft juicy chicken just makes the dish 100% complete! I love the pairing condiments it comes with. * 2X bubble waffle (+$1.50) ~ must have did you even have bubble waffle if you don't get this staple item? Super delicious and crunchy. Especially when dine in it's always crunchy! I love a good bubble waffle and it's such a good contrast with the laksa soup! * 10/10 ~ can't go wrong with such a classic. It's quick simple and delicious! * 9/10 ~ the pricing it's pretty good for the flavour, portion and item! Plus 1.50 bubble waffle is such a steal! Total bill before tip: $29.86 * 10/10 ~ social distance, barrier.

Got the Hong Kong style Milk Tea & HK style Coffee + Milk Tea. Total was $5.50. It was good, tasty, slightly sweet but not overpowering. Coffee was the better one of the two. Milk tea had a slight tangy afternote. I enjoyed it and would order the same drinks again. Service was appallingly poor. For a location who boasts of a "Grand Opening" banner out front, its employees played a poor first impression. No one would take our order & our drinks + receipts were shoved to us in an irritated manner. They have Wifi but wouldn't give us the password even though we were paying customers. Super disappointing for decent drinks at a decent price!

Finally, a noodle soup place (other than pho) close to work. This one's not a stranger to many (or at least to me) since they have 8 other locations spread around the lower mainland, including two in Richmond (Aberdeen and Lansdowne Mall). And, lots of parking in Ironwood Plaza, a plus for me. Walked in with a couple of my colleagues at around 11:30a on a Friday with lots of tables to choose from. But by 12:00p, it was packed and a small lineup outside. The ordering is simple, tick off what you want on a bilingual (English/Chinese) form, and submit it to the server. Service was fast, efficient, and friendly. As expected, the food is good or as good as the other locations. Nothing fancy. The Satay Ramen + Drink combo that I had was pretty good. And the HK style waffle cake is always a nice treat. Good for a quick bite on a weekday. And another plus is they accept credit card payment, not just the usual cash only like other noodle shops around Richmond.

I liked the food here..I recommend their hainanese chicken with rice. I think the only thing I wished they did was not put the soy sauce, ginger sauce, and chili sauce on the same plate. It kind of made the food taste more of one sauce each section of the plate rather than a balanced taste. The Laksa soup was not as spicy but still pretty good. The combos we ordered came with H.K. style drinks (hot or cold). You can also add bubble waffles for a dollar extra. It's a lot of food for the amount you are paying. Overall the restaurant is a bit tight - ie. tables are close together and the walkway to the bathroom or other tables are narrow. They accept card - always a big plus for me especially in Richmond.

Of all the locations I visited, this is the WORSE! Not sure if the chef had a bad day or the standard is just not living up to the other locations such as Aberdeen or even Lansdowne! The soup noodle was tasteless, my ovatine drink was watered down and the bubble waffle was oily and over done! We also ordered the black pepper duck breast rice combo which was super oily! For most restaurants the pictures are not always accurate but this one was down right NOT the same! I wouldn't go back....but like most bad restaurants, they will always have their own tasteless customer base! If there was an option for a negative star I wouldn't even give this place one star!!!! By the way, the hallway leading to the washroom was filthy!!!

3 Stars Huge shared parking lot. No problem finding parking. First impressions, not a very big restaurant, we had to wait for 10mins for a seat. It's a little cramped. Ordered: Haininese Chicken Noodle Soup - the portion size is not very big. The chicken was a little bland. added HK Style Waffle Cake - really good waffle with peanut butter/condensed milk topping. Haininese Chicken and Rice Combo - again, not a big portion and the chicken isn't as flavouraful as other hainines chicken we have had. added regular bubble waffle - known for their bubble waffle and done very well. Service was good, food came out fast considering how busy it was. I think the waffles are better then the noodles. Overall Experience: Service - 9/10 Cleanliness - 8/10 Food - 6.5/10 Value - 7.2/10 Parking - 10/10

This location has a larger menu that includes dumpling combos. I came and ordered my usual noodle soup, but will come back and try their unique menu items which stand out from the others. Clean, pleasant atmosphere. Wasn't busy when I went for a late weekday dinner.

For having almost every item offered as a combo, This place is the combo king in this part of town. The food has been consistently solid and the service when busy or slow has been good. If you know this type of food you'll have a good appreciation for this place in this area. It's much needed style of food in this area provides a quick meal sit in service. Prices are good and it's clean. I'm giving them a solid three stars to set them off right. And let others chime in to balance the review ratings out. What are your thoughts? Come here for dinner or lunch or both ? What's your favourite dish? Mine is still the mushroom soup combo. Tonight we had the beef tempanyaki with rice

Paolo M.

Looking for a vast variety of noodles, Bobo Teas and snacks? This is the place. Pick and choose your own combo of noodles, soup base and condiments and create your own masterpiece. My personal favourite is a non-traditional combination of laksa, egg noodles, lamb and fish tofu. Sounds weird but extremely delicious and satisfying. Don't like lamb switch it out for beef. Hmm. The slightly spicy coconut milk based curry like broth with chewy egg noodles hits the spot every time. We order it so much the server doesn't even take out order anymore she just says "the same?"

The last couple of times we've come, the beef ribs were a bit smaller than they used to be, but they were awesome about making up for it. Last visit they threw in an extra rib, and today they gave us this massive extra bone loaded with tendon. I loved it. My wife was too shy to use her hands to eat it, so hey, bonus piece for me! Aside from the food, the service here is amazing. Everyone is super attentive and friendly. The vibe is really comforting to, it's way more spacious than your typical cramped pho restaurant. They only take cash or debit. After I paid the bill and walked back to table, the waiter already took my leftover away which was an XL bowl with 3/4 left and of course I was planning to take home. I'm too tired to write the rest. They didn't apologize, didn't offer another bowl until I demanded it, basically didn't know what to do except said oh we already took it, with a blank look.

I didn't realize it was a chain with three locations in Metro Vancouver. We entered and the place was moderately busy. We were seated immediately. Rather typical looking restaurant but it was clean. Despite not liking fresh durian , I don't mind eating this. Outer layer is crisp and not too thick. - Rice Noodle with Tomato Broth: Good. Comes still boiling. Decent size, variety of toppings and a slightly thicker broth than most. Rice noodles are a bit soggy, but being all you can eat rice noodles is a nice feature for big eaters. - Yang's Chicken Rice Boneless: Good. Also comes boiling. Chicken is tender, and mushrooms have intense flavour. Service is minimal, but helpful. Overall, we were happy with our food as it was good, fast, and affordable. I'm so glad they finally got their own standalone building that's much bigger now. Long's Noodle is my comfort food when I go to Richmond, BC. The XLB is a no brainer. Get it, no questions asked unless you only like the thin skinned ones. In which case, go to DTF. The soup in these are packed full of flavor and I'm always surprised at how much soup is packed up in them. The next thing I always get is the Drunken chicken. In fact, the last time I was there, I got two orders of it cause it was so good. I've tried it at many other places and Long's Noodle is legit the only place that makes it this good. Beware though, if you're sensitive to alcohol, you can get a bit red (happened to one of my friends, lol). We tried the crispy noodles with beef sauce this time and my partner really enjoyed it! Keep in mind they won't seat you unless your entire party has arrived. The total came to less than $30 per person, which is great value for money in Vancouver. While the xiao long bao and sheng jian bao were definitely the highlights of our lunch, I enjoyed all of the dishes. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for Shanghai cuisine in Vancouver. Xiao Long Bao ($9.25) Even with my questionable chopstick skills, the wrapper didn't break at all, which shows how well they're made. The broth was flavorful, with plenty of meat inside. I just wish the dipping sauce had a stronger ginger profile. Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings / Sheng Jian Bao ($8.50) Crispy on the bottom with a fluffy top. Interestingly, they have the same soup filling as the xiao long bao. Meat & Vegetable Wonton in Peanut Sauce ($12.95)This was the only dish I've never had in Shanghai (my friend told me it's commonly served in the summer, when soup dumplings would be too hot). Wine Chicken ($15.95)It was cute how they served this dish in a tall pot. It looks small, but there's actually a decent amount of tender chicken inside. Fragrant without being overwhelming. Crispy Rice with Salted Egg Sauce ($21.95)The flavor profile reminded me of Singaporean-style salted egg fried chicken (which sadly doesn't seem to exist in Vancouver). The crunchiness adds a nice balance to all the dumpling dishes we had.

But the fried chicken piece was about double the size than the one in Sapporo! Perfectly juicy and the crispiness is a nice contrast to the soup and soft vegetables. Beef brisket was soft and tender but would pick the fried chicken over the brisket. The rice was a bit lackluster compared to the more fragrant one in Sapporo.
