I came here just for a boba on my lunch break. I ordered on the kiosk and it came out very fast. The boba itself was a little undercooked and chewy, but the taro milk tea was flavored well and was the perfect amount of sweet. The ambiance is very comfortable/casual. It's a great place to eat by yourself, get some work done, or hang out with a friend casually. I'd definitely go back here to try other flavors! read more

Came back to finally try one of their ramens, and they did not disappoint. I had the Classic Pork Miso Ramen with some chicken katsu and other additions. It was delicious, filling and quite comforting. I also had a boba tea to go with my food. I think I had pineapple boba. I love their boba teas, so no complaints here. They always have a lot of people coming in and out for takeaways and mobile orders, but my order didn't take very long to come out from the kitchen. I was craving ramen on a cold winter day and found this place online. It's a cute little ramen and boba restaurant. I loved the vibe and decor. There's only seven tables, but it wasn't hard to find a spot to sit when we came on a Sunday night for dinner. We ordered through the kiosk, but the staff were ready and willing to help customers with their orders behind the counter. I love how you can customize your own ramen bowl! I've been to a few ramen places and never seen a build your own option. They had several options for broth, noodle, and sides. The price was pretty reasonable too! The black garlic tonkotsu ramen was super flavorful. The chashu was tender and not too fatty. The soy egg was probably the best I've had. I wish I ordered a dozen. Even the broccoli was incredible! The bumblebee milk tea was so good -- even at 75% sweet!!! Ramen was surprisingly good as well! We got the Tonkotsu and the "X". Both were SO good!!! The ramen is good. I got the make-your-own with the spicy broth which was tasty. I used the self-service kiosk and regretted it after I saw the entire menu with pre-made ramen dishes at the front of the counter. The eating area was clean. My main complaint is the portions are really small for the price. Price points for a bowl are $15-20. After eating my noodles (which I thought amounted to maybe the same serving as instant), I was still hungry. You can go to pho restaurants and get a lot more bang for your buck with the amount of noodles and leave a little more satisfied. read more

I love everything about this place. I noticed the Honeypig neighbor but o wanted something small and new! Thanks to Yelp reviews, we ventured out to try this place. It's so cute inside. The staff is friendly. The Tofu was perfectly fried, just like Japanese style tofu. The katsu was also lightly fried and so delicious. The portion was big enough to share. The highlight of my meal was the Taro "snow" with brown sugar bubbles and 50% sugar. It was thick and tasty. I love the container it was in, so sturdy. This retsaurant recently opened up, somewhere in the heart of Ashburn! They specialize in various teas and ramen. There are a lot of items I would love to try, but for today, I stuck with the chicken katsu rice bowl ($12.95). They have pictures for the specialty items on their web site, whcih makes it helpful when ordering. They gave a generous portion of chicken and rice but very little sauce. Seriously delicious ramen! I got takeout and they packaged it well and didn't skimp on broth like some places do when you takeout. They filled the broth too the brim and the toppings were amazing! We learned that this was their opening week so be aware that they are still working out the kinks. The ambiance was so cute! They have a light up sign that says "love to bee yours" with cozy seating. Service was very good and prompt. I think the owner was there as he asked how everything was when we were leaving. You have a choice of ordering from a big touchscreen kiosk or the traditional way with the cashier. We chose to use the kiosk, which was pretty seamless. They have pictures of the items as well. I think it would be helpful if it also had descriptions for what type of tea was in each drink. I typically avoid jasmine tea in bubble tea as it can be a bit flowery. I also would like a description for the food and if you could have substitutions for sides. I am sure this will come in due time. I ordered the chicken katsu rice bowl with the mango lemon fruit tea (50%) with mango popping bubble. Bubblebee x Ramen is in the same shopping center as Honey Pig in Ashburn, so it can also be a great spot to stop in for bubble tea/ boba post-KBBQ eats. For me and my friend, we chose to get lunch here (we were craving ramen) along with ordering some unique bubble teas. I ordered a personal ramen with the black garlic tonkotsu, along with some agedashi tofu + blueberry lychee tea. Everything came out fairly quickly, and all the food tasted super clean + refreshing. I enjoyed the amounts of the black garlic in the broth, and the chashu was fairly hearty. My friend enjoyed her ramen as well, and she ordered the green apple yogurt tea and she enjoyed that. The staff here were super nice and also let us know their recommendations, and I just really love the decorations here. I traveled to the area for work and was craving boba. The place I tried the day before was just meh so I'm extremely happy I found this place. I'm not an expert but I do enjoy my boba frequently. I ordered the taro half sugar and it was so good! Not too sweet, great taro flavor, and the pearls were soft and chewy (not hard like some places). I also ordered the udon with fried tofu and spicy miso. SO. GOOD. The portion was so much I couldn't finish it all and got to take some left overs to enjoy later. I was sad that Tsaocaa closed down but was happy that another cute boba shop took its place. I'm glad they opened so quickly. The interior design is very nice and well decorated. I love that they offer golden boba. I got the BubbleBee Milk Tea that is an Earl Grey Milk Tea with golden boba, brown sugar boba, and egg pudding and my boyfriend got a Taro Milk Tea with Boba and Lychee Jelly. I have tried most of the Ramen places around Northern Virginia and have had ramen in a few different places around the country including Los Angeles, Seattle, New York City. For this area the ramen is good! I got the Black Garlic Tonkatsu but also tried the Miso and normal Tonkatsu broths. All were good. The gyoza was also decent, with a nice sweet soy sauce. I like the concept of having a good bubble tea selection with a sizeable meal menu, and thus I was eager to like the place. The teas didn't jump out to me for their available flavors, but I'm a sucker for mango and had the mango orange tea. It didn't hit the spot as the orange made it a bit sour. I had the spicy tonkotsu which was not spicy and a little bland actually. I also tried a bite of the chicken katsu rice - it was very crispy but also a bit on the bland side per my dining partner. In contrast, the pork belly bun appetizer we tried was flavorful but steeply priced. On the menu, I saw 3 in the photo and expected 3, but we paid $5 for one little piece of pork in white bread. My bad though as the appetizer clearly reads "bun" rather than "buns" as other things on the menu state more than 1 piece if appropriate. The service was great and operated by real Chinese people (at least on the day I went). It was a cute place, but be careful sitting in front of the striped wall -- after a while you feel like it's moving in front of you. I'd likely come back for the bubble tea if I lived closer but this will not be a repeat visit for me since I have a favorite tea place closer to home. read more
