The thumbs down was his idea, not mine.

I ordered two kids meals which were "grilled cheese ". I was their first customer of the day, and we waited while watching numerous others leave with larger orders. It took 25 minutes and cost more than $17 for the two meals and an iced tea for myself. What we received were not grilled cheese at all. Rather, the plates had fries and two slider buns with partially melted cheese (see pic). My littles said that they were gross and only ate fries for lunch. Awful, awful, awful.

This place didn't have good reviews, but I thought their single burger was amazing. Very fresh. Next time I would ask for light seasoning. All burgers are cook to order. The only bad thing going for them is there is no drive thru, and in the same center there is a Culvers and McDonald's. The restaurant was clean and the staff was nice. They do have TV, and it's a little pricey. $6'48 for a single cheeseburger, no fries or drink. They advertise ice cream. I didn't see any ice cream here. I will have to check next time.

As others have said, if you have eaten at a real Bub's burger this one will disappointing to you. It's a very small menu and you order at the counter then come pick your food up once they page you. You must order everything individually as they dont have combo meals. The seasonings they use are good but a little goes a long way. Both our burgers and fries were so salty you couldn't eat them. For me the bun was the best part of the meal. They do have patio seating which is nice. Save your money and go across the street for a better burger that is more affordable.

We stopped in this little gem of a burger joint after training camp Sunday. What a way to end an already great day with the hubby! I don't know what seasonings they use (they sell it by the way) but their burgers are awesome! So good I ordered a hotdog too, took two bites and brought the rest home, just to see if they tasted as yummy!? Guess what!? They do! M I went up to get my hubby a shake because he remembers a cinnamon shake there years ago but they said they only have those at the Carmel location. He opted for strawberry instead and it definitely did not disappoint, not even close! Hand dipped icecream complete with strawberries, whip cream, chocolate syrup drizzled and a maraschino cherry!!! I'm not a big icecream person but yeah, he had to share this one:)

Always consistent and quality food from here. Greeted as you walk in, ready for your order. I think it's the best burger around!

I'm really, really torn here. As other reviewers have noted, the burgers here are expensive and the menu is highly abbreviated (compared to the downtown Carmel Bub's). This is more of a "Bub's Express" type of thing. They've taken a page from the Chipotle play book and went with sort of an industrial, stainless steel type of look & feel for the interior of the restaurant. The menu is, as I mentioned, very small, so there isn't much decision-making needed when you're placing your order. Buzzers are handed out to every customer, regardless of whether you're dine-in or carry-out. So, if you're in a huge hurry, plan on waiting a few minutes, but the trade-off is freshness and quality. So, in the final analysis, this restaurant is a toss-up: The Good: Excellent food quality, like-new (clean) interior, trendy interior design, friendly staff. In a new strip mall that's accessible and close to home (for me). The Bad: The menu is too small and the portion (burger) sizes are small. The "Big Ugly" at the downtown Carmel location is a massive burger, where you get your picture posted to the wall if you can eat the entire thing in one sitting. I get it that that's not the style of this location, but regardless, these burgers are too small. The Ugly: Cost. Yes, I realize that if you just want a bag of hamburgers for $5, there's a McDonalds literally right next door. However, as much as I enjoy paying more for quality, this even crossed my difficult-to-cross threshold. Guys, you're going to price yourselves out of business. Take it down a bit, please.

I've been to the main restaurant and love the burgers, so I felt this might be a good place for after the baseball tournament. I consider myself a burger guy, and knew the original place can throw down a mean one. Well I was disappointed with this branch. Totally over seasoned and drrryyyyyy. All I tasted was pepper, salt, and the grill. Couldn't eat more than a quarter of it and I was starving. Don't think we'll be hitting up this one again.

Great place for a burger, not as good as the original Carmel location, but ok for lunch. The sweet potato fries with marshmallow cream is so yummy! Very busy & linger wait when teams are playing on the weekends , but nice addition to Westfield

Almost a $50 bill for 2 adults and 2 kids and we didn't even order drinks.

So, I decided to take my dear son to Gringtinos to eat some empanadas, because this Latin-ish restaurant has several different varieties on the menu. We sat down, looked at the menu, and my son wanted a cheeseburger, instead. Oh, kids! You gotta love them, right? (Right?) Luckily, Gringtinos has a kids menu that includes a cheeseburger, as well as a quesadilla and boneless wings. My son said that the cheeseburger was the best that he's had in a long time, so there you go. If you want a great kids' cheeseburger, visit Gringtinos. I was there for empanadas, so I got us a few: barbacoa, chicken, ground filet and street corn. We loved all of them, but the ground filet was probably our favorite (it was basically ground beef). We also ordered the yucca fries, which are served with white queso. They were like regular potato fries, but more earthy and dense. One order can feed two or three people -- they're very filling, with an interesting texture. I'm glad I ordered them. The service was OK, but we had to ask for plates, even though the server saw us dripping empanada juice all over our napkins. (It's like, hello! Yes, plates would be good. Bring us plates.) I'm also not a fan of servers not writing down my order, and instead, trying to memorize everything I say. I'm not impressed! It makes me stressed! Please, for the love of everything that's holy, just write down my order. It's truly OK to write things down. I promise. The construction around Gringtinos is murder, but don't fret. There is parking in the back, off of a gravel road. Once you park, enter through the back and you're good to go.

We usually prefer to eat in the bar to avoid some of the crowds that fill the regular dining room areas, to check out any of the sporting scene that might be on one of their TVs, and the service typically seems pretty prompt. Mark S was very efficient for us today. Appreciate their happy hour offerings [Monday-Thursday 3:00-5:30] of half off appetizers and $3 off various beverages. Today we shared the Bru Fries (regularly $9), Soft Pretzels (regularly $12), and the Triple Dip (regularly $15). If you like your fries with a dark natural cut and a mix of crunchy and soft, these nail it. They come with House Ketchup (REALLY sweet), Black Pepper Mayo, House Chipotle BBQ Sauce and are a pretty decent value at half price. The pretzels are OK. I'm not convinced they are made in-house, but they're fine. They come as an order of 3 plump sticks with a beer cheese, which seems more like a basic nacho cheese, and a spicy mustard that is pretty good if you like mustard with just a little something extra. Not sure they're a must order for future visits, but they're not a horrible deal at $6. Might ask for the mustard with other menu items. The Triple Dip has long been our go-to, although they substituted our favorite option of the dips for a lesser option. It used to come with a goat cheese, which was awesome, but it has been replaced by a pimento cheese dip that is OK. It still includes solid dip options of hummus and guacamole with grilled naan bread and onion straws. I would trade the pimento cheese and onion straws to get the goat cheese back. Overall, still enjoy the environment, service and food and find the happy hour offerings to be a very good value. Just wish they would bring the goat cheese back and improve the flavor of their beer cheese option.

Super friendly staff. We chatted with the hostess for a bit about the other Family of Grindstone restaurants. We started with the short rib poutine. I also love the added touch of the scallions. For our meals, I had the Jambalaya pasta which was a large serving with plenty of meat, my husband had the tenderloin sandwich (which was massive and the best he said he has ever had on all of his trips to Indy) and our friend had the piggy melt grilled cheese (Mac and cheese and pulled pork!) That sandwich had incredible flavor and I said I'm getting that next time. We ended the meal with bread pudding bites as the photos on here looked delicious and the waitress recommended them. They certainly did not disappoint. The restaurant has a bit of a nicer vibe and there are certainly some people that were there dressed better than us, but it is not a stuffy atmosphere. Delicious food for very reasonable prices. Good beer selection as well.

For sides, they have french fries, onion rings, mac & cheese, baked beans, and chips. They are priced separately. They serve Coke products, which we really like! Our tenderloin sandwich was served hot and fresh. We got it with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onions. They have a variety of sauces you can add as well. Since the seating area is small, my wife snagged us a table while I went to the counter to order. This was probably our mistake. Our order was priced incorrectly in that we only got the tenderloin Tuesday discount on one of the tenderloin sandwiches. We probably both should have gone to the counter and ordered separately. We got sauces on the side and my wife got the ranch and I got the fiery ranch. However, when we picked up our bag at the counter, my sauce was not included, although it was on the printout of our ticket. So, technically you could say both our order and our bill were incorrect Although the bill, you could say, was also our fault since we did not order separately. That being said, we have gone to other establishments on Tenderloin Tuesday and had one bill and we both received the discount. The tenderloin sandwich was OK and fairly priced given market conditions. Would we return? If we were on the far east side of Carmel, we would stop in again.
