Today, November 2, 2017 we placed an order for our technology team, the amount of the order was $77.88. We picked the order up and when we returned to the office, there was a chicken Shawarma sandwich missing. We received four chicken schawarma and one chicken schawarma with hummus; a total of five sandwiches and we paid for six. After we identified the shortage with our order, we called the restaurant to inform you all of the error. I spoke to the manager, Dee, and he informed me that he receives forty calls a day with people saying they had items missing in their order. I responded with, "That is a problem". I do not like how your manager handled me, the correct customer service response should have been, I apologize for the error and I can send you a gift card in the amount of the schawarma or if you could return to the store we will give you the sandwich that you paid for. This was my first experience with Bucharest and it was a horrible experience! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, but not because of the food, but yet the service and your managers problem resolution style. read more

Love the food hate the service and they way the employees treat me. They ignore you and get mad when they have to correct an order they messed up. My husband and I did an online order for two chicken shawarmas and one lamb. Apparently they were out of lamb. Instead of reaching out to the customer and asking what I would prefer in place of lamb, they assumed I wanted chicken. I don't understand how that made any sense. How do you know what I want to eat? And on top of that I hate mayonnaise which is on the chicken shawarma. So I immediately went back in and kindly asked for a beef shawarma instead. Yum yum... curly fries are so good. We had the chicken shawarma tons of perfectly grilled pieces of chicken breast. The portions are huge it was a huge wrap. The pita was so yummy next time I will for sure ask for light garlic sauce because they are really generous with the garlic sauce. But hey if you love garlic dont go light.. The place was packed for lunch but we managed to grab one of the few tables. I guess a ton of people go for take out. A large parking lot for parking so thats great. I love Bucharest, but I will never go to this location again! I understand COVID has effected many businesses and employment, but there were many employees standing around not doing anything. I placed an order ahead of time so I could pick it up and go on my lunch break from work. I also did not leave right away to pick up, thinking it would give them more than enough time to complete the order. When I arrive to pick up my order, there weren't very many customers there. There were at least 7 or 8 workers, most of them standing around. I ended up waiting well over an hour for my order (once I got there!) not including the call ahead time! I kept getting told that they were waiting on curly fries to be done. Last time I checked, it did not take close to 2 hours to prepare curly fries. The one employee that was actually working seemed to only be doing door dash orders and could not be bothered by any other customer. Once I finally got my food and got back to work, I noticed items were even missing from the order!! So, then I had to go all the way back up their to get the rest of the items I paid for, after calling multiple times to finally get someone that did not hang up the phone! So, after a total of almost 2 hours of waiting, I still did not got the items I paid for. Never again will I go to this location. Customer service and work ethic at this location is an absolute JOKE! Im a Bucharest fan girl. I could eat their chicken shawarma every day. I'm also really into their hummus. And surprise their chicken shawarma salad. The chicken is packed with flavor and not dry. I noticed the sign for Bucharest a few months ago and the time has finally come for them to open. I visited on a Friday afternoon , I expected them to be busy. First off, the parking situation is not ideal, they don't have a private lot so your only choice is to parallel park on the street. I had to drive around to find a space, as there was little to no parking spaces available. Once inside, there was no wait to order food which was awesome. The place itself is bigger than the one on Piquette. Booths to sit in as well as counters with bar stools. The longest wait was for the food, 30 minutes for my take out order. There were so many people inside waiting. Which is expected ,since they just opened. Customer service was pretty average but they had plenty of employees there to handle the food orders. The Shawarmas were delicious as always, spicy chicken quesadilla was amazing, fries were overly salty. I only ate a few and threw the rest away as I could feel my blood pressure rising lol I'm so glad Bucharest Grill has opened near me, hopefully it will attract more businesses to open on Livernois as well :) read more

Love this place. I enjoy the beef shawarma and chicken shawarma (great values at $5.50/ea) and cheese quesadilla. Great falafel - everything I've had is wonderful. Parking can be a bit of a pain but the food is worth it. Staff not too friendly but it's busy and they're working hard so no big deal. I couldn't possibly come up with anything to complain about. If I could give no stars I would! I placed an order through Doordash for 2 chicken swarma salads, extra pita chips, 3 dressings and shoestring fries for my husband. i have had carryout a couple times and im really disappointed. Both times the chicken sharwarma was way too salty. Unlike other Middle Eastern restaurants where i have ordered the same thing. Bucharest was a big wrap fill of small dry pieces of chicken, not moist and juicy. i dont think they have enough management supervision, there were lots of employees but they clearly arent following any standards . Normally this restaurant has good food I picked up an order for my coworkers and myself. Ordered chicken shawarmas and a salad. The dressing was terrible and all the chicken was over salted and burned to a crisp. We work 12-hour shifts so when youvfinally get a chance to sit down and eat and to have to eat this mess. Whoever made these wraps knew the chicken was burned like that. Who does that? And also the cashier was passive aggressive. Who gets mad when people add more items to their order doesn't that equal more money?? So shocked and so saddened this place used to be great. I guess we have to find a new spot to order. Can't comment on the food because I never received my order but the service is lackluster. I placed an order at 2:20 and was told it would be ready in ten minutes. I arrived at 3pm to pick up my order and was told, "They'll call your name" without and explanation as to why my food wasn't ready or my expected new wait time.
