I'm somebody that usually works on their own car and knowledgeable in all cars. That being said, I'm a very skeptical and cautious when I have to take my car to a shop. I will check everything! I will tell you right Now GO TO BUCKY'S!! Seriously if you have to take your car somewhere take it to Bucky's. I've been there several times now and I've never been disappointed always happy with the work and the price. These guys know what they're doing they are professional and best of all, they only do what needs to be fixed and don't try to sell you unnecessary services or things. Like I said before I'm very knowledgeable when it comes to mechanic work and by far this is the best shop I have been to. They're also very fairly priced!!! I visited Bucky's for the first time for an oil change and a desperately needed brake repair. Heather greeted me and was very polite and patient as I explained what was going on with my car. After a test drive and inspection, Rob who was also very nice, took the time to inform me of what the issues were. He explained the different components, and gave me a break down of how much everything would be. I already knew that I need a new battery soon and Rob confirmed this, but as it's not yet in my budget he offered to charge the battery to give it a little boost(for free)! I was told my car would be ready in about an hour and a half, and that's almost exactly as long as it took! As I waited in the lobby, Heather was very open to me coming to her multiple times with random questions I had out of curiosity. She gave me great tips on how to go about picking new tires according to my budget and how often/ far I drive. She even recommended a tire shop nearby I could walk to for a quote while I waited on my car, which I'm glad I did! When my car was ready, Rob again took the time to break down the costs of that days services on paper, and helped me with quotes on other services that I told him I wanted to return for in the future to make sure my car will stay in tip top shape. He had topped off my fluids and even checked all of my tires and gave me an idea of how long I had until I needed to get new ones, and specifically which ones should be replaced first! I could immediately tell the difference once I drove my car! No more horrible screeching or shaking when I apply the brakes, and I felt MUCH more confident while driving through mountains the next day. I plan to stick with Bucky's from now on. Not treated like a dumb girl. I've had my car serviced here 2 times now. The first time I had thought something very expensive was needing to be fixed, but since they know what they are doing, it was a minor repair at a minor price. This time I had my 70,000 mile maintenance and brakes done. The nice dude with tattoo's,(so NOT scary) filled me in on what was needed and why. Not like talking down to me, just helping me understand the benefits of synthetic oil on a car I'll be keeping as long as it runs. I am grateful for the service I got at the Shoreline Bucky's in Sept 2022. The assistant manager did the work (I think his name was Luis Perez). He was so attentive, thorough, instructive and friendly. Over the past few years I've had an issue with my '98 Tahoe's random cylinder misfires and other mechanics would do a tune up and the code would go away but it'd still idle rough and ran under-powered. But this mechanic wanted to get to the heart of the issue and did a deeper diagnosis. Of course I had to replace more items so it cost more but I hope this will finally solve the issues. I took my truck in to get a bunch of front end work done, they did not bolt down my front brake caliper and it came off, luckily when I was almost stopped, which destroyed my rim and some other brake components. They did a poor job repairing the damage and I had to tell them at least three time to get it done correctly. Because of their negligence and poor attention to detail I did not have the use of my truck for about a month and missed out on two planned trips during that time. I goth the run around saying that my truck was fixed and ready when it wasn't. I want my money back for the poor service, the length of time they had my truck and for compensation for the loss of my trips. I would not recommend using this company. I've been coming to this Buckeys for almost 3 years. Jon is an awesome Assistant Manger. The employees are super nice and friendly like Heather. He's always been up front and honest any time I've had to come in. They always tell me what's going on how to prevent other issues and best deals that can give. They treat me with respect and never try and talk me into anything I don't need. I've had my fair share of bad mechanics in my past. If you're looking for an honest and reliable shop this is that location. Very impressed with Jake and his crew. I needed a new catalytic converter after someone cut off the old one outside my house. Jake gave me a written estimate while I waited; it turned out to be half the cost of one from a national chain. I brought the car in the following week; although they were exceptionally busy Luis managed to fit the work into their afternoon schedule and get me back on the road with the minimum delay. All the time I was there Luis was constantly on the go, dealing with a non-stop stream of walk-in and telephone customers, and handled everything calmly, efficiently and gracefully. This auto repair shop was totally unethical with me. I brought my Subaru in for a "free inspection" after another mechanic told me I needed new pads, rotors and calipers. Given the mileage on the car, I was concerned that the calipers didn't actually need to be changed out, so I wanted a second opinion. They were busy when I arrived, so I left my keys with them and told them I was going to take my dog for a walk while they did the inspection. I got a call from the female receptionist telling me they had test driven the car and inspected the brakes, and indeed I did need calipers. After speaking with her for a while, I agreed to have them do the repairs. When I returned, I noticed that the car had not been moved. I know this because I had parked it in an unusual way in an odd spot, it had been sprinkling for most of the hour-long walk I was gone, and the pavement all around the car was wet, but bone dry underneath. Also, I am short, and had the seat position very far forward with the back straight up right. People tease me about this driving position. I seriously doubt they had a mechanic who was under 5ft 2in who drove it and for whom this seat placement was perfect. The mats on the floor were also completely dry, which they would not have been had someone had walked across the wet pavement to test drive the car. This woman straight-up lied to my face about the inspection. The car had not been touched. This is unbelievably shady business practice. I would recommend this place to no one. I would recommend to avoid it. read more

Brought my Audi Q7 in for new brake pads and an oil change a few months back. The people that worked there were fine, but not particularly friendly. They did the work, I drove home, brakes a little screechy (but that can take a few weeks to go away) so thought everything was good. Overnight, a pool of oil formed under my car. I drove back the next day, they raised the car back up and found out that they had screwed the oil cap on wrong so oil was leaking out the bottom. Seemed weird that they couldn't change the oil properly. It's been a few months and the screeching never went away in the brake pads. I brought the car into another place this past week that fixed the problem.... Buckey's apparently can't change oil or brake pads, so not sure what they could do right.... read more

I don't do well with auto problems. In fact, it's a serious problem area for me. Instant anxiety. I had a massive oil leak. I took it in and it cost me $100 all told (including tax and all that jazz). I knew upfront the diagnostic was going to be around $50, but then fixing it and an oil change ended up being another $50 -- as I asked for the higher grade oil and they topped off all of my fluids and discussed the next maintenance that I needed without making it a big issue. It was so much less stressful than I expected. I also watched them talk to some other people about bigger issues and I was impressed with how they were trying to help people and really talking them through things and they allow you to bring your parts for the really expensive one. They charge a bit more per hour for labor, if you do, but on some of the big things that's still a big savings. read more

Be aware that when you receive a coupon for oil change. The only way that it will work is if you drop the car with no appointment and they do not guaranty that they will be able to do it. If you make an appointment the coupon is not valid. If you read the coupon it doesn't say anywhere that the coupon is not valid with appointment. A trap!! read more

Bucky's customer for eight years. They have earned these five stars. I've used them for standard maintenance and care like oil changes and fluid flushes. They've installed custom exhaust work on one of my cars. They've done two used vehicle inspections for me. They have done brakes, and they have done repairs on bad sensors on one of our cars. Bucky's has always been professional, honest, and addressed my needs. On some vehicles, like my winter beater cars, I don't care about having the best - I just want to keep it running. They address that need, and quote me the work accordingly. On the other extreme I have a show car where they've done basic work like oil changes. It is the best of the best of the best for that car, and they address that need also. You cannot beat the customer service offered by Trish. Saturday hours? Check. Knowledgeable staff? Check. Honest mechanics? Check. Stand behind their work and their warranties. You better believe it. Not all Bucky's are treated equally, but this one is fantastic. read more

My wife brought her 2008 Mercedes-Benz S550. Let me tell you that it was worse from when she dropped it off from when she picked it up. Stopped in at 12:30 P.M. today on Saturday May 15th, 2010 for an oil change; due to the $15.95 special posted online which seemed like a great deal. The service was absolutely great today; however, it took roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete an oil change and replace three bulbs for a broken headlight which cost $40.00 with parts and labor. Extremely friendly staff; which also gave some future recommendations in regards to preventative maintenance. read more

I was searching for a basic oil change as my regular mechanic was super booked. Jiffy Lube was ridiculously expensive. Bucky's has had coupon on the blue envelope thing from the snail Mail for a long time so i decided to give them a shot. I called ahead on a Friday afternoon was told that i could drop at 4pm and it would be ready in an hour or so. I left at 4pm and was called at 5pm saying car was ready. Came back at 5:10p and had to wait for a complicated transaction to finish with a few customers but it was hot out, the AC was on and they had cold water for customers. So no issue at all. Friendly, reasonable cost and easy. I would certainly recommend for an oil change and would consider them for other repairs/work if it came up based on this encounter. My boyfriend went in to get a clutch replacement, it came out with a really loud rattling sound and they scammed him by saying "we gave you the best clutch possible" so it was overpriced even though that's not what he asked for. He went back to get the rattle fixed but had alternator problems too so they said they would fix it, put a new battery in because the alternator killed it and throw a belt on for free and gave him a price of $600 total. What they actually did was seemingly fix the car, the rattle is mysteriously gone, but now 3 days later, the battery is completely dead and now his car won't start at all AND they charged him $900 (the belt was not free and the battery was overpriced). If he doesn't get a refund for both "fixes" he's taking them to small claims court. read more

Not overly impressed.. They gave us a firm price to replace the front brakes and master cylinder, then charged us $56 more because they "forgot" to include the fluid flush expense.. Just because it fits within your 10% allowable overage doesn't make it right. You admittedly made the mistake and should've eaten the extra cost. This should've been a learning experience for the employee, instead I got a defensive manager who isn't looking out for the customer. read more

There is seriously NOWHERE else to take your car, period. We tried them for an oil change after a radio ad years ago, & we won't go anywhere else. I don't know anything about cars, & was frequently cheated out of $ by Jiffy Lube & such (oil filter change when not needed, etc). Never an issue here, & Bucky's goes above & beyond- I stopped there a few months ago because I had a headlight out & they just FIXED IT, in like 20 minutes, no charge. Huge when you're wrangling toddlers lol. Our beloved Subaru just needed head gaskets & about everything else replaced after 200k miles. & they beat the competition by....LOTS. Plus you'll never get better customer service, be it Heather managing the phones or Steven on Tech. Cannot begin to recommend these guys enough. :) read more

Chris and Hung were there today, Fantastic service Quality work as well. It was Heathers day off. How ever fixed dead cigarette lighter, fixed side view rear mirrors control switch. Removed old trailer hitch. Put on new exhaust hangers (two), Lube oil and filter, Trany fluid was low, Brake fluid was way low. All fixed professionaly for way less than two hundred bucks. Dishonest over the phone, needs to make clear that coupons offered on their website are not valid at the Shoreline Buckys, coupled with rude customer service. This place has really gone down hill. They don't even have water or coffee in the waiting room anymore. Small investment for large returns with your customers while they have to wait. This place is merely a cheap oil stop now, and now that they no longer even have this advantage they will no longer have my service. I'll go to a real mechanic if I want to pay that much and have you quote me for larger jobs. Everything recommended was deemed unnecessary after a quick stop in to Dave's Auto in Mountlake Terrace. I recommend you try them next time you need a service. Honestly will never go back to Buckys, I know that they will be dishonest over the phone, and dishonest in person to squeeze extra dollars out of the customer. read more

I've been to Bucky's Shoreline shop twice now and have been treated like royalty both times. The first visit was for a complicated engine-light issue and the second was for a headlamp replacement. Both times I was invited to come in right away, I was treated well, the problem was explained to me and the cost made clear. The work was done immediately and well. I appreciate the minimalist waiting room because it means Bucky's doesn't have to charge me high prices to support a cavernous waiting area. I can bring my own coffee, thanks. I want a mechanic not a Starbucks. Regardless who I talk to, Bucky's Shoreline is a good experience. I won't go anywhere else for my 2004 Honda Civic. Not anymore. read more

Had my Pt Cruiser towed to Bucky's on Memorial Day weekend after it stopped running with no warning at all. They did their best to get it fixed and ready that day but the starter wasn't cooperating so I left it til Tuesday. It was fixed and ready to go by noon.
