Went in for the free inspection. I was concerned about my muffler slash catalytic converter being loaded and needing attention, but the comment by my reviewer that they would do whatever I asked them to do. The fact that he never told me either my catalytic converter OR my muffler was loaded or full suggested to me that the work did not need to be done, but was merely "optional." It was his body language and facial expressions that told me my car was fine and didn't need any work, but they would have had me to act on my suspicions and waste my money. Honesty is everything in this business--and that includes the withholding of information.

They left the pressurized cap off of my coolant. My car over heated and had to be towed... a simple mistake could of costed me my car.

On a beautiful Saturday the Lynnwood locations car wash was unfortunately closed. Against our better judgement we went to the dreaded Alderwood location to clean our son's car. The car wash started and immediately the middle of the windshield cracked and then spidered into the entire windshield. We reported the incident immediately and took several photos. There was no manager on duty on a Saturday? We then contacted him first thing Monday morning. He insisted we drive the car back where he told us the crack was in the inside...hmm. I guess not only is he a weekday manager but also a glass expert. We have tried several times to get anyone (else) to return our calls to no avail and there is apparently no other manager to talk to at anytime onsite. Our insurance has told us they will not cover it as it is considered third party damage. Not to mention at time of purchase on the inspection of the vehicle no windshield damage was found. So my (Autistic) 16 year old is left with a car that is illegal to drive. Thanks Levine family, we will never use your company again. We will now determine if this is worth pursuing in small claims court.

Japanese Auto Care - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CROOK

    - Honest,…read moreKnowledgeable, and Refreshingly Transparent** I came to Japanese Auto Care after another shop told me I was looking at either an oil pan gasket leak or -- worse -- a cracked engine block. Understandably worried, I found this shop through reviews and stopped by to ask if they could take a look. Roy, the owner, was genuinely personable from the moment I walked in and agreed to diagnose the problem. A few hours after dropping off my car, I received a call with good news -- there was no oil pan leak and no crack in the engine block. But what really set this shop apart was what came next: Roy sent me a video of the undercarriage so I could see the condition for myself. No guesswork, no upselling, just straight answers backed by visual proof. In a world where it's easy to take advantage of a worried customer, Roy and his team chose integrity instead. That says everything about the kind of shop this is. If you're looking for an auto care shop you can actually trust, look no further. I highly recommend Japanese Auto Care without reservation.

TERRIBLE PLACE !!! Do NOT trust this shop or its ratings…read more My catalytic converter was stolen while my car was inside Japanese Auto Care and under their custody. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff and owner did nothing; no investigation, no CCTV review, no explanation. Their only response was to blame me and demand payment simply because I am the vehicle owner. I was forced to pay $900 to repair the stolen catalytic converter just to get my car back. Completely irresponsible and dismissive management. If anything goes wrong with your car here, expect zero accountability. Stay away.
