My go to is their grilled chicken plate. Tasty juicy and not dry at all. The side of Mac salad is pretty good. Good value for the price. The slaw is crunchy but I can do without the cilantro in it. There are a lot of Hawaiian places, and what matters to me comes down to 1) meat offerings 2) Mac salad 3) Rice 4) drinks 1) Kalua pork and Huluhuki Chicken are solid. The chicken is what might be called "BBQ Chicken" or "Ono Chicken" at other places I've been too. The kalua pork was smoky, perfect salt ratio, and tender. The spicy pork was not as good as the other two, but I think it paired well with the Mac salad and rice. 2) Mac salad is not the best nor is it the worst I've had. It is Mayo-forward and heavy on the creamy texture. It pairs well with the meet but on its own would be lacking. I wouldn't order an extra side of it to go like I have at other places. Maybe it just needed some teriyaki sauce to take it over the top. 3). The rice was a little dry, but when mixed with the Mac was passable. Maybe with a little extra teriyaki it would be better. 4) They serve Maui Brewing instead of Kona Brewing, which is a nice change. I've had trouble finding Maui beer in the PNW, so it's good to know I can get it here. But, what I was most impressed with was how quickly our order was completed. We've heard the reviews around Buddha Bruddah and when we saw the Kenmore store open we gave them a go. We ordered the combo mixed plate with the grilled beef and huli-huli chicken. In a word, we were disappointed. The beef was okay. The chicken, despite being bathed in a sauce, was dry. The rice was under cooked and crunchy. Seriously how does that happen? The final straw was the Asian slaw. It was undressed shredded cabbage without a hint of dressing. Buddah might be the only plate lunch in Kenmore but there's much, much better to be had all around them. read more

Food is very good, I've spent a lot of time in Hawaii and it's some of the best I've had off the island. Service can leave a bit to be desired. Wait times for an order can take a little longer than usual for a quick bite, and staff can sometimes have a bit of an attitude if you substitute. Great food either way! read more

Welcome to the neighborhood Buddha Bruddah! I got the Mahi Mahi ($16) included perfectly cooked fish, macaroni, a lot of rice, and some slaw. Great spot for grab and go but indoor seating is also available. Only took about 10mins for them to get my order ready to go after ordering at the counter. The food at Buddha Bruddah is definitely an upgrade from other local restaurants. They use quality ingredients and it shows. Sure you can get a cheaper meal at Kidd Valley, but when you eat at Buddha Bruddah your meal doesn't come with the unshakable sense of regret. Ambiance inside is very casual. Was a little chilly inside, but not a problem if you are just ordering takeout. They seemed to have a lot of sauces available, and the staff should definitely highlight the sauce selection. We got take out, the experience was quick and easy for the pick up even though they were busy. I got the combo beef and chicken and my partner got the fried chicken with garlic. My food was great, but when we got home, we found that there was katsu rather than the other chicken dish. That wasn't great, and I did send a message using the number they sent order info on, but never heard back. My food was great (and luckily large enough to share as the katsu was OK but not our thing!) the order mix up and lack of a response was less good, though I could try harder to complain for sure. Kalua pork was just like what we had in hawaii and the cole slaw and mac salad were both fantastic. Can't wait to try the mochiko chicken and loco moco next. I used to absolutely LOVE this place when it first opened up. It was worthy of 5 stars , but sadly it has gone drastically down hill. Everything I order now especially the Hawaiian beef and pork are just so bland and tasteless. I'm not sure if they just stopped adding the sauces and leave it to you to grab sauces on your way out, but the food is just not good anymore sadly. Visiting Kenmore... looking for lunch and we hoped for the best in trying this place. So many places believe they are cooking Hawaiian food but it just isn't close. Buddha Bruddah blew us away with the food and friendly service. Deluxe Chicken Katsu was the best I've ever had on the mainland and better than most on the Big island! 10/10 my daughter had the Drunken Noodles and it too was excellent! Getting ready to leave and I noticed the pie. We split a banana and a coconut cream and OMG! The chopped Macadamia nuts mixed into the crust took us right back to real island enjoyment!
