This little hidden gem is a must visit if you love coffee, baked goods & sandwiches of all kinds. The workers are friendly, service is prompt, there's plenty of options to choose from, but most importantly it's kept very clean. This nifty bakery is a bit on the smaller side but they offer seating inside if you have no control like me & need to eat your treats as soon as you get them. The empanadas are out of this world! They offer 10 different kinds to choose from with all sorts of fillings ranging from basic ham & cheese to ones with pork, sausage or even egg. The outer crust of the empanadas are baked to perfection with a nice balance of firmness on the edges & a flaky shell as you get more towards the center. I wasn't the biggest fan of empanadas until I tried these but now I can't stop craving them. Their coffee is also really good. The espresso based drinks are brewed to order so you can taste the freshness in each cup. They don't go crazy with adding a bunch of extra stuff, which is something I really appreciate. The drinks are crafted to ensure the flavor of the beans really shine through & they typically tend to nail it. As with any coffee shop, the drinks don't taste exactly the same every time but they sure are consistent here. I always love supporting small, local businesses so I'm glad Buddie's is as close by as it is. First time grabbing some food at this location to go. I had an iced caramel macchiato which was pretty good and sweet. To eat I order 3 empanadas: Beef was 4/5 it was ok needed a bit more flavor. Chicken 3/5 a bit dry needed more seasoning as well. Spanish 1/5 it was absolutely in my opinion terrible, i couldn't point out the tasted kinda soapy it went to the trash. Our first time here. Definitely a hidden gem in Cooper City. Coffee was great. I love Kimbo Coffee. They have a real espresso machine (love that) I had an almond croissant, which was outstanding! Visited here on a Saturday morning with my hubby and my son and his family. There was a total of 7 of us. Buddies is rather small inside, but they can definitely accommodate you comfortably. Like most all the reviews mentioned, the staff here is very friendly and welcoming. I had the pistachio hot latte with the marshmallow rim. It was delicious and like a warm hug. We all had the bacon, eggs, potato, and pancake breakfast. It was very tasty and was served on a rectangular plate - reminiscent of cafeteria style. I wanted to try a bakery goodie but I was just too full. The atmosphere is very pleasant and very clean. I will definitely visit next chance I get. As you walk to the counter, you'll be enticed by a glass display featuring sandwiches, pastries, cookies, desserts, and the tastiest empanadas. And don't forget their homemade alfajores. They offer different flavors! We started with their iced coffee drinks and we could tell they used quality beans. Then we ordered the Proscuitto and Swiss and BLT sandwiches. They were both very. We also tried the Salmon Bagel Sandwich which was also yummy. But we were very impressed with their empanadas. They served them piping and they're not stingy with the fillings. The beef was meaty. The spinach was cheesy and flavorful. And we love the Cubano one. It's basically an empanada version of a Cuban sandwich. So good. As for sweets, we both got the original Alfajores. OMG. They were sinfully good. You could tell they were fresh and had not been sitting in the fridge. Also loved the Chocolate Cake. It was to die for. I highly recommend this bakery. It's very relaxing. My favorite spot to get some work done in the Cooper City area. Ella Cafe used to be located near here and although I was super sad that closed down, I'm glad Buddies Bakery was added to the area. I NEED TO COME BACK! My fiancé and I wanted to start our Sunday with coffee and pastries. He found this spot on his Yelp search and I'm so happy he stumbled upon this great find! The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly face and I immediately fell in love with the clean and minimal aesthetic. The moment we got to the front, we saw the yummiest desserts and pastries. IT WAS SO HARD TO CHOOSE! But it helped to have free samples of scones by the register hehe We originally wanted the guava + cheese empanada, Cuban empanada, and passion fruit cheesecake. We ended up scrapping the original idea and went for the Bakery Box and a White Chocolate Cranberry scone. We also ordered the Soursop Mousse BUT we didn't realize til we got home that we didn't get it. However, the kind man had snuck in an Apple Cinnamon scone and Blueberry scone in our order so it wasn't a total loss! The scones were so soft and thick. One of my peeves are hard and dry scones. But this was the perfect firmness for all of them! The only criticism I would have is that I hope they're all the same size. The Apple Cinnamon is the biggest and Blueberry was the smallest. Price-wise, I'd think it'll be unfair to charge someone the same price when they vary in size. The Bakery Box is a great sampler of sweets! My favorite in the box was the pecan bar, but all were very good and paired well with our coffees! I got the small iced white chocolate mocha and my fiancé got a cold brew. Both were good and I like that his cold brew comes with free refills. We came around lunch hour and it wasn't too busy and too loud so I can see myself getting some admin work or designs done here (they have free wi-fi). It was a bit cold inside and I had shorts and a tank on because it was super hot out, so if you plan to stay a while, I suggest for you to bring a light sweater! I have ordered iced or hot coffee from Buddie's they have been delicious. We get lucky from time to time to get one dessert and get the other for free so it is worth trying everything if you can. I recently ordered their salmon lox bagel with red onions, mixed greens, cream cheese, and I asked to hold the capers. The bagel tasted fresh and the ingredients exceeded my expectations. A nice and clean bakery in Cooper City. I ordered the Caramel iced latte with whipped cream and it tasted good. I would suggest you ask for less caramel if you want to taste more of the coffee. I did not try any of their bakeries but will definitely try them when I come back. I like how every table is clean and has an outlet available. It arrived warm and perfectly packaged, and did not disappoint. I ordered three (3) empanadas; chicken, omelette, guava and cheese. I was dropping off dry cleaning next door and walked past the bakery and did a double take as I have never noticed it before. I went to peek in and the place is so cute. I love the clean and simple decor! When the pandemic happened, Ella Cafe, which was located a few doors down was shut down. That was a hidden gem in this community and I was so sad they had to close their door. This place reminds me a bit of Ella Cafe but Buddie's Bakery specializes in empanadas, desserts and coffee. Excited for another cute cafe open in this neighborhood. I'm looking forward to bringing my family here and spreading the word about this cute new bakery. Met the manager, Gabby. We got to chatting a bit and she was telling me they just opened 2 weeks ago around mid April 2021. That explains everything. Ha. Gabby was incredibly personable and friendly. It was a pleasure talking with her. She was working with another young lady who was also very sweet and helpful. So let's talk about the food. I love empanadas so naturally I had to try one. I wasn't even hungry but "I had to" try one. There were so many different empanada selections and I didn't know which one I was in the mood for. I was feeling the beef empanada so that was the winner. They heated up my empanada and served it with this creamy sauce that had a kick. I honestly forgot what type of sauce it was but it was good so I remember that. The sauce was a nice touch. When I opened the empanada, it was juicy and dripping with flavor. Not dry at all, which is the worst! Eat the empanada by itself and it's delish. Or dip it in the sauce for an extra kick of flavor. I loved this place so much I decided to bring my kids back after picking them up from school. Fridays are usually our end of week treat day so this place was perfect. My kids love cafes too. The kids picked out a few different desserts to share and I added a Spanish empanada to go for my husband. We got the crime brûlée, Ferrero mousse and the chocolate mousse. The crime brûlée was my fave of the dessert bunch. I'm not big on super sweet desserts so the crime brûlée was great. The other two were a little too sweet for me but the kids seemed to enjoy it. Because sweets!!! Lol. I took the Spanish empanada home to my husband and he killed it. He said it was so damn good!!! Cant wait to come back!!! read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now because of their social media presence. I was a bit skeptical but one of my coworkers told me it was good as well so I came in. To start the staff was very friendly and helpful. Their store is very cute but it is in a very dead plaza so it's a little out of place. I got a salted caramel latte with the chocolate cracking shell, 2 chicken empanadas, a turkey BLT on french bread and a 6 pack of alfajores. Since my total was around 70 dollars, the staff also gave me a complementary wine bottle to go. To start, the caramel latte was very yummy the cracking shell is super cool too. I regret going for the safe caramel option since they have so many other options so I definitely will have to try a different flavor if I go back. The chicken empanadas were okay but my friends and I did think they were dry. Apart from the fact that they were prettttttty toasted on the outside the chicken inside itself is dry. I think it could be saved if it came with a dipping sauce or they added more of the sauce the chicken is made with in it or if they toast it a little less maybe? The BLT was the scariest thing for me to try but it was my favorite. I like that they make the sandwiches al momento (fresh) therefore you can customize hoe you want it. For example my sandwich came on rye bread with tomatoes but i was able to change the bread and take out the tomato. The pesto sauce was AMAZING as a peruvian who eats pesto pretty frequently I could admire that this sauce was good and authentic tasting. It also comes with chips added bonus haha. Lastly, the alfajores. My mom grandma and I live alfajores as they are a peruvian delicacy as well. Our box had black,white,dark,pistachio,malbec and nutella and we loved them all. My favorites were nutella, pistachio and malbec. My grandmas was dark and black and my moms was nutella and white. They were all delicious and if you want to try every flavor like we did then the box is a great option! Overall I had a great experience with the only critique being the empanadas.
