    If I could leave 0 stars I would. Upon arriving to Austin and receiving the car, the car was dirty on the inside and needed to be cleaned. We returned the car in the exact same condition and they send this letter in the mail about a week or two later. They are charging us for $125 for "animal hair" when we NEVER had an animal of any sort in the car. Upon request for them to send the before and after pictures, they stated it was "confidential". Had to go through multiple customer service reps before they said they could waive only 50%. Save your time and money and rent from someone else. They will nickel and dime you.

    If I could give negative stars, I would. Please save yourself the trouble and rent from another agency. Or just plan on the pick up process to take about 2.5 hrs as that's what it was for us and many other people in that long line. I asked the worker if there was an issue today or if this is typical and he actually said this is how it always is. Wear comfortable shoes and bring your patience. You've been warned.

    Arrived early to pick up my rental. I paid ahead of time and did expect additional delays due to the holiday but this is ridiculous. Upon arriving was directed to the third floor of the rental car building. Once on the third floor I realized that the line was a mile long and outside! It's 90 degrees and humid. Look at the pictures below! This is shameful and I will never use Budget ever again.

    Do not ever rent from Budget! They are always closed and everyone is routed to Avis. The only line in the entire airport is budget -- avis.

    Ridiculously long wait. Do not reserve with budget (or Avis for that matter) at the Austin airport. Worst car rental service I've seen.

Because of Zak's outstanding customer service, I'm officially a customer for life. I'm a co-parent and travel to Austin every other month, and Fox will continue to be my go-to rental company because of experiences like this. It took us more than 30 minutes to get our car from the fox rent a car. First off, we reserved a Kia Sportage online and paid for it. However, when we got to the booth, the representative kept telling us we booked a Nissan Kick. And then, he said that car wasn't available either and that we can only rent us the Dodge charger which was a sedan. It newly saying is roomy and it would have plenty of space for our things. Which was bull! When we asked for a SUV, he said he had a grand Cherokee but it would cost us$20 more per day. It was so frustrating. He wasn't trying to work with us. I thought he was being rude and took advantage of us. We ended up taking the dodge because we didn't want to pay more. By the way, it wasn't roomy at all. It was cramped inside the car with the car seat, diaper bag, and me in the back with the baby. We were so mad. We complained to wisecars.com about our situation and they said they would email fox rent a car. They got back to us and said that fox rent a car actually upgraded us to that sedan. How was that an upgrade from an SUV? I wish I read the reviews for this rental car company before we went there. Don't rent from these guys. They don't care about you.

In sunlight it was easy to see many streaks and spots where a cleaning liquid was used but not wiped dry. There were also several long black hairs on the upholstery and central console. I don't expect a perfectly clean car but long (like 12" long) hair around the interior makes it seem like not a lot of cleaning occured. But apart from that, I've experienced a Hertz.com website that won't recognize the car contract or tags, the customer service line is "no longer in service", and the "contact us" form leads to a blank web page. Calling leads to a "call us again on a business day" message. I finally got a foreign call center who told me there was an accident report form in the glove box (nope!). I finally wrote up a statement and told the attendant when I turned in the car but got an "YOU HAVE DAMAGE! YOU MUST REPORT THIS!" email/text. Called the CS rep again and was told everything should be fine, since they have all the claim numbers, etc. But again today, I got the same email, demanding I account for the accident on your non-functional website. This is astonishingly bad customer service, which has taken hours of my time, day after day, and the fact that it's ongoing is even worse. It's clear that there are pervasive problems behind the scenes, particularly when they are things that should be easily addressed. :( Also, if you do book with them, look the car over and take photos--the seams were ripped in 3 places in the back seat. Lastly, be aware that if you use the toll roads, that will cost you big-time through Dollar, but you can set your GPS to "avoid toll roads" and it will prompt you to easily hop on and off the freeway at the appropriate times to avoid them entirely. :)
