Just tried Bueno Y Sano and the Spinach Garlic Chicken Wrap for the first time. While not quite Spanish, the food is unique, packed full of healthy and full of flavor. The portions are generous and I had close to half of my lunch to bring home for another meal. Despite the exterior, the inside is comfortable and clean. Do you ever want to love a place before you step inside? This is what I wanted since they aren't a chain and local. I have driven by 100's of times and never stopped. I wish I never did!! Disappointing is an understatement. We ordered 1 Steak Burrito and a Buffalo Chicken Burrito. First off burritos aren't supposed to resemble BALLS! This was so hard to eat since it was more in the shape of a ball than a burrito. Second the vegetables weren't cooked enough and NOTHING is worse than RAW red onions in my book. Hit and miss, I'd say. You have to get hot or extra hot, else it is bland. The sausage (chorizo) burrito was good; the fajita burrito was made extra weird by mushrooms and bean sprouts. Bean sprouts, seriously? But just tried the grilled portobellos, and those are excellent, taste like they've been marinated. Seitan so-so. Treat it as an experiment and you'll probably find some things you like and some you don't; there's plenty of variety. Good choices for vegetarians. read more

I've been a huge fan of Bueno since their early days at the Amherst location. I usually get the chickpea and red curry burrito so that's what I got at this location. I was disappointed when I bit into it because it was a yellow curry as opposed to the advertised red. If the recipe changed I would edit the menu to reflect this difference. Red curry has a bolder and spicier flavor which is why it goes so well with a burrito. read more

This is just what we needed in West Concord/Acton. It has only been open for a few weeks and I have already gotten take out burritos twice. Given the large fast/healthy/tasty food joint void that was filled when they opened, there is understandably high demand for their food and an associated lengthy wait (30 mins for a burrito). If you call ahead, the wait is much more moderate. Also, parking is somewhat difficult given the limited number of spaces in the undersized lot. The burritos are very good - highlighted by fresh ingredients, white meat chicken, and a good proportion of rice/beans/chicken/salsa and guac. The menu indicates a super burrito option, but I found the standard burrito to be quite large. I am looking forward to trying other items on the menu. read more

I would have given this 10 stars if it were an option. Just opened, yet already packed and clearly a community favorite. I had the Spicy BBQ Chicken burrito with a side order of chips and salsa. They give you the chips and salsa right there as you order. As an added bonus, fresh Salsa Verde was on the counter and I am a complete sucker for that. Munched on chips while waiting for the food. Even packed, we had the burritos in less than 5 minutes. Chicken was tender, proper amount of spice, plenty of rice cheese and pico...no beans for me. Absolutely great burrito, can't wait to go back. One tip, look for alternative parking...there is a decent parking lot across 27 and a Bank of America ATM around the corner on 111...look for those if the main lot is full. read more

We've ordered a variety of things from here over the last few years. Always yummy and my family insists on not ordering the same thing... so we can sample each others! Burritos are huge. Quesadillas are wonderful. I am not usually a fan of Black Beans, but I do like theirs. They have a little kick that is great with a dollop of sour cream. First the place should not have a Spanish name because it is not a Mexican burrito place so don't expect too much more than tortillas and beans to represent Mexican food. If it is fusion food - fine. Call it Fusion Burrito and I would skip it completely. I went in (before reading Yelp) and thought it was Mexican. Next the burritos. I had a 'carintas' burrito (the only Mexican food on the menu). It was mostly salty rice in a flour tortilla. There was some 'carnitas' (pork) in the burrito but about as much that you would use in a very small taco. Certainly not the amount in a $8.25 burrito. It also had some funky vegetables in it that one would never expect to see in a Mexican burrito (more filler). I lived in San Diego for 8 years and ate lots of taco stand burritos and none had vegies or rice in them. Then, I tried to use their 'hot sauce' and it was basically watered down Durkee hot sauce. Gross. The 'medium' sauce was simply further watered down Durkee hot sauce. Double gross. Anyway, if they called it 'Salty rice in tortillas' I would have not even gone in. but that is what the name of the place should be. Over-priced for what you get and if you are not looking for a real burrito maybe you will like it. read more

I'm a big fan of Mexican food. I've worked in Boston where there is quick easy burritos to get for lunch at a counter. First, the food is cooked to order and is great. We love the burritos and tacos and they make them exactly the way we want. The kids are very picky so everyone wants them a certain way. We live in the area and go frequently. At first I was hesitant to write a review but after reading the others I feel I should also chime in... Like everyone else I was super excited to try this place since I live down the street from it. If I could describe the food in one word it would be " Soggy " literally everything I've ever had from there has leaked right through the bag and all over the place. I've tried a few things from there, but I won't be going again. The food isn't fresh or worth the money and the "taco" isn't a taco... Or at least what I think is a taco. I'm giving four stars for potential. On a par with Anna's taqueria. The staff was polite and attentive, but for such a busy location, this place should be packed and it isn't. My steak burrito was good, but I got the same impression that some others have reported. The place needs a business manager or it won't make it. It makes no sense that the left 50%of the building is the office and there are no curtains and you can see into the brightly lit Windows to the storage area. I got the immediate impression that the person running it may be a cook, but doesn't get the business end of it. It would be great if owners took the Yelp feedback, got some curtains for the storage room, and got some business consulting so they could succeed! read more

I do feel like the burritos could use more meat(they can go a bit heavy on the rice), and definitely ask for extra pico or some bbq sauce to get some flavor. I went in for a quick burrito fix with my family, and the food lived up to the normal standard of Bueno food (delicious). The burrito was the size of a football, and as delicious as I remember them from Amherst and Northampton. The atmosphere is clean, comfortable, and well lit. I really wanted to like this place, this area is really lacking for any sort of food. We got a few burritos, one steak and one chicken. They both had very little flavor or seasoning. Very little meat at all. Just a lot of bland filler. The beans were a bit undercooked/tough. The cheese didn't exist. The guac which i paid an extra $1.25 was just a green stain on the tortilla, seriously it was nothing more than a enough to add a bit of color to the wrapper, you couldnt even detect its flavor (if any).. Overall for $10/each it was really unimpressive. They had some "hot" sauce remnants in a bowl. I scraped some of the remaining off the sides to try but it wasnt "hot by any means.. Location/parking stinks but i would overlook that for good food. Maybe this works for drunk college kids but it wont around here... read more

I went to the Acton location because it is close to work an on Tuesday s the parking lot is always packed. After trying a burrito bowl I can honestly say it was by far the worst example of Mexican food of any sort that I have had and I thought taco bell took that award. I even saw 4.4 starts on google review how I now ask myself The yellow rice that is being served is worse than the yellow Spanish rice mix you get at the dollar store. The bacon was not cooked properly, the lettuce was mostly white last time I checked it should be green but hey why focus on freshness. The cheese was cold, stringy and extremely chewy it was odd. There is absolute no flavor to this expect for the hot pico I had added. For my first experience with your brand I would say it was a horrible one and no further visits are needed. This is definitely not a place I would ever recommend anyone trying. for almost 10.00 I certainly except better. read more

Clean? Yes! Fresh? Yes! Unfortunately too clean for my tastes. I like a little more grease, but, the green Pico stuff is SO GOOD! The burritos I tried were very full, made very well and very fast, they just weren't my favorite. They're expanding their beverage menu though, beer! Yay! And the guacamole was really good. They didnt ruin my life with cilantro either, very balanced flavors in the guacamole and the green stuff. The tortilla chips were excellent too, I could just eat those and the green stuff all day. And they were very fast and very nice. They had all their ducks in a row, it was smooth sailing in terms of production and distribution of food. It was just too health food-y for me but my fitness freak brother loves it... So this review was really just about personal preference. I've been here twice and, although I *want* to love it, I don't think I'll be back. Like many other reviewers, I am a fan of the restaurants in Amherst and Northampton. This one does not come even close. For my first visit, I ordered the chick pea and red curry and it wasn't as flavorful as usual, but I doused it in salsa and it was ok. This last time, a group of four of us ordered all different burritos, and none of us had completely cooked rice. Not just al dente, but really really crunchy. I ordered the Thai chicken burrito, which has basmati rice (the others have white rice) and neither variety was cooked. The burrito itself didn't have much flavor--just vaguely peanutty with crunchy rice and way overcooked chicken pieces. Despite the terrible parking, this place could do really well if they would just get their act together. In the meantime, I'll be going to Chipotle when I need a burrito near home and eat at Bueno only on my occasional trips out to the Happy Valley. read more

Went here for the first time today, hoping for a good mexican place. Nope, nope, nope, and nope. Ordered tacos - steak, chipolte chicken, buffalo chicken - for myself and wife. First off, they weren't tacos. Bueno Y Sano uses a burrito size shell, puts the taco materials in one half and rolls it up. So first learning? This is not a taco place, its a burrito place that wants to sell tacos. The meats were trying and the flavorings were unimaginative and ... boring. Not going back unless something dramatic happens for the good. You would think with 5 stores they'd know how to make a decent meal.
