Just moved to Littleton MA from the Bay Area in California. Looking for some good mexican food. Not much to be had around here from what I can tell. Hoping that this place would fit the ticket. Bueno Y Sano sure LOOKS like it know's what it's doing. Unfortunately the food indicates otherwise. I had a simple rice, bean, and cheese burrito with lettuce and pico de gallo. It was VERY bland and the rice was under cooked. My daughter had a bowl of rice and beans and some chicken. All of this was very bland too. At the prices they're charging this restaurant better get it together or they won't be around very long. If they do close, I'll be there to step in and open a REAL taqueria here in Mass. Someone needs to step up an give Chipotle a run for it's money. Unfortunately, this is not it. read more

After seeing all the bad reviews, I felt obligated to write one. First of all, if you want to see the best that Bueno Y Sano has to offer you need to take a trip to Northampton. That being said this place isn't as bad as the other reviews are leading it on to be. Get their quesadillas (don't forget the guacamole!)... you won't be disappointed. read more

Stopped in for a quick dinner and food came out very fast. Everything I ordered came out great and would choose to eat here over any of the national chains. More importantly the staff was extremely friendly and more than willing to assist every customer. This place is strangely inconsistent. I've ordered a number of chicken burritos at Bueno and have been both delighted and disgusted. It really seems to be the luck of the draw. If you want the consistency, I've always enjoyed the buffalo chicken tacos. I have been coming to this spot for a few years on a regular basis. I would agree with the other reviews where a comparison is made with Chipotle and Qdoba but in my opinion I prefer Bueno y Sano. Ingredients are fresh, the food is always done to perfection and my order has never been messed up. My go-to's are the steak burrito (sublime) the burrito bowl,quesadillas and soft tacos (No, not at the same time ;). Each one of the items mentioned are great and for sure, they do not skimp on the ingredients. I cant complain, the tomatillo sauce is awesome!! Definitely a meal worth having :) read more

First time here. Disappointing. Grabbed s pork carnitas burrito. Managed one bite before the whole thing unwrapped itself and spilled onto the plate. The burrito itself was overwhelmed by cabbage. A scarcity or pork. The 3 sauces available labeled mild, medium and hot were more on the mild mild and ketchup scale. Pretty poor altogether read more

Bland bland bland. They forgot cheese on our burritos and it was supposed to come with salsa but was just a few diced tomatoes. Way too much rice and lettuce. Not enough meat and flavor. Even the sour cream tasted cheap / bland. read more

Vegan friendly, just make sure when you order anything tell them no cheese. When I ordered my spinach and black bean soft taco it came slathered in it. Otherwise it's delicious, although the guacamole is super salty. Atmosphere is kinda lame and the staff not super friendly. But considering there's nowhere else around that caters to vegetarians, it's a better bet than most. If I'm ever in the area I might come back. read more

I'm surprised this place only gets 2.5 stars on Yelp! It is so good. The service is fast and the burritos are great. I especially love the Thai burrito, but they're all good. Acton is the perfect town for them to open their second branch (the other is in Amherst) because almost all of AB goes to our went to UMass. read more

Very disappointing experience. (1) I figured I would cut down on my waiting time by phoning in my order. I was told 30 minutes. When I arrived, it was 8:30ish, presumably past the dinner rush. There weren't many people sitting and eating, mostly people waiting for their orders. I went to the register and gave them my name. They told me my order wasn't ready yet and they rang me up. I waited, and waited, and waited, until I noticed people who had come in after me and ORDERED at the register were getting their orders before mine. Finally I went back to the register and asked when my order would be ready. The cashier checked, and discovered that it was sitting there, god knows for how long. No apologies or anything--as though I was lucky to get my food 45 minutes or so after I ordered it. When I got home the 2 burritos and the tacos I ordered were cold. (2) The food itself was just meh. None of us liked it. I know the other Bueno Y Sano locations have quite a following, so I will guess that maybe the 'non-traditional'/non-Mexican items like buffalo chicken and vegetarian items are better. (3) Before I decided to order tonight I checked yelp, read the reviews, and followed the link to the Bueno Y Sano website. They didn't have any information up yet for the Acton location, so I downloaded a menu from one of their other locations. The prices were considerably higher in Acton than on the menu I downloaded. So I basically I paid a lot, waited a lot, and got crappy food. I know it's a new restaurant but even if they get their kinks straightened out it's not going to be good Mexican food, so I won't be going back. ETA: I just wanted to temper this review by saying that I broke my own rule about not going to new restaurants until they have been open at least a couple of weeks, so my bad. Also, I think Acton and the surrounding towns need more restaurants like this that aren't sub shops or fast food restaurants, so good on Bueno y Sano for that. Maybe it would help to think of this as a place to get wraps, not as a Mexican restaurant? read more

This place is terrible. I live in Acton. With the few options to eat out locally, I have given this place a few opportunities. I feel confident in my review after another terrible experience. Your burrito may look like a burrito, but it is not. The ingredients inside always feel lonely and cold. The tortilla is slimy on the inside and never cuts easily. The salsa is runny and almost watered down with water from a brackish bucket. Acton has a decent population, and I am surprised at how terrible food is in the area. Either people are okay with slop or there are consistant new customers to fool. I feel dumb for taking several tries to give up on this terrible attempt at a burrito joint. read more

Who knew? The best casual Mexican restaurant in Massachusetts is in Acton. Just simple flavorful and good food. Highly recommended.

I'm a UMass, Amherst alum so when they opened up in Action I couldn't wait to go. I have been there many times and have never been disappointed. My fav is the sautéed spinach and garlic burrito. Love the chips and the stuffed jalapeño also! read more

Good place to grab a bite, nice ambience and friendly place.

They tend to skimp on the meat and it is often cold. They are better when I stick to an uncomplicated vegetarian order.

They need to be more polite and accommodating to people with food allergies. I'm severely allergic to cilantro and I was surprised to discover that there was basically nothing on the menu without it other than a completely plain chicken and cheese quesadilla. Not only that but the employee looked at me like I had two heads when I inquired about items that did not contain cilantro and spoke to me in a very condescending way. read more

This restaurant just opened in our town. My friend and I were excited to try it out, but when we did we were just disappointed. I got the chicken burrito bowl. The chicken was dry and tough and both the rice and chicken had very little flavor. What flavor the chicken had wasn't very good. I'm kind of surprised by the bad reviews of this place. I compare it to "fast food" types of restaurants. I ordered the chicken burrito and it was very large and pretty tasty. Love the additional sauces that they provide (tomatillo sauce and salsa). The food tastes fresh and is reasonably priced. My kids enjoy it and the service is fast -- important when you have hungry kids. I would definitely go back! read more

After many years of enjoying Bueno in Amherst, I was thrilled to see one here in Acton. I'm puzzled by the terrible reviews. It is what it is....fresh, simple food. I only order the burritos so I can't speak for the entire menu. If you're expecting your run of the mill mall Mexican food you will be disappointed. If you want fresh, rice, beans, veggies, cheese, sour cream or guacamole rolled into a fresh tortilla (HUGE), you'll be just fine. I love it. read more

Went here with my 1 and half year old son on Saturday for lunch. Menu was full of great vegetarian options and had a good kids section too. I got the Mixed Grill burrito and he had the kid's Cheese Quesadilla. The style was like Boloco (except huge!) but a little more Mexican and little more comfortable. Definitely joins TC Lando's as one of my favorite places in the area. read more

I am surprised to see the low ratings others have given this place. I have been twice, both times this past summer. I loved the Thai burrito--all in all really tasty, and it was giant! My kids enjoyed the food, but the only negative for me was that the kids menu is expensive for what you get. I had to order 2 of the soft tacos each for my kids because one is not enough. I don't understand the negative reviews at all. The food may not be authentically Mexican, but it is so fresh and tasty compared to the stale, heavy, overcooked food at most other "Mexican" places. The cooks are not teenagers and they are far from rude. The owner/manager could be a bit more engaging with his customers and smile a little more, but no one is ever rude. Service is always prompt. I have been here dozens of times. I love their flour tacos. (Was not crazy about the corn tortilla option, it was dry and fell apart.). I love their guacamole, made fresh, definitely NOT out of a bag. I love the pico de gallo, made fresh. I love the Thai Burrito with chicken, great flavor. And get this, I love the sour cream. It is not thick as most sour cream is, it is very creamy. I think the food is a great value for the price. I am a happy customer. read more

Being from WMass and going to school in Burlington VT, we have visited all the Bueno Y Sano locations. We moved to the Acton area 2 years ago and have been going to this location ever since. I have no idea what other people on here are saying at all. I drive 30 minutes out of the way on a consistent basis just to get the chicken burritos here. I dont care if this is mexican food or "tex-mex" like another reviewer called it. I am not writing a review on the type of food it is, im writing on the taste and the taste alone. Out of this world i always order 2 so i can have one now and one later. Always get one chicken and one pulled pork. This is the best burrito i have ever had and love it every time i get it. The green salsa is a must have and i always get like 7 of them to go because i have it on every bite of my burrito. Keep making awesome burritos guys and ill keep coming in!! read more

We were frequent patrons of the Bueno Y Sanos in Amherst and Springfield and were so happy to find one in town when we moved to Acton. The food is always fresh and consistently delicious. I order the same thing every time - BBQ Chicken Quesadilla and have never been let down. My husband and kids are always happy with their meals as well.
